Title: [P][Sf][Fu] The Way Out (Warning, will contain a LOT violence) [C]
Post by: SirBlaziken on October 27, 2014, 01:20
((Please note that this is the next part of Shiny Mega Gengar's first rp, Get Out Alive. All credit for creation of that one and this one go to him. I do have his permission to start this one*))

 It is winter in Kanto, months since the doomsday virus has ravaged the world. The doomsday pokemon are growing in number, and are getting smarter. A xatu, one of the only not doomsday, falls inside the lab. A buizel and ninetales stand trimumphantly. The buizel speaks, "Where's the cure, Abraham? You said you had it." she said. Abraham then says, "You've beaten me. The cur-" he is cut off there by the ninetales, who interjects "So you don't have it?" Abraham shakes his head, "No, I do have it. It's just-" The buizel interjects, "Where is it, and why did you create the virus? You knew that something was bound to happen." The xatu sighs, then stands up. He says, "We were doing research on hazardous chemicals and diseases. My experiment went wrong and we fled...or died."

"I then had a vision." Abraham continued, "Your friend, the ninetales..." The ninetales responds, "Keira." The xatu nodded, "Right, Keira. Anyways, I was desperate for an answer, but I got one. I was sent a future vision of a ninetales, who was almost immune, note almost, immune to fire. She also had great potential and smarts. Then the vision shifted to a young vulpix and her parents. I knew that must have been her." Keira, then said, "So? Why put all your hope in little old me? I would've been killed. Right Fleur?" The buizel, Fleur, nodded, "And you almost did, many times. Plus that's just when we knew you." Abraham continued, "The doomsday pokemon got to the family, but Keira was spared. I knew where she ended up, so I made up a story and telephoned the violent one, Del I think his name was. I told him of a cure and where to find me. I had no cure, but I wanted the girl."

 Keira was obviously outraged, but said nothing. The Xatu continued his tale, "I then found out about the girls protectors, the ones coming with her. I became fearful and made the cure, only days before right now. Now to see her evolved.... at long last. This power could be put to great use." Keira, obviously about ready to tear Abraham to shreds, bellowed, "So you made this whole thing up just to get me?! What am I, some sort of toy?!" Fleur, who seemed calm, but had more of a cold fury, responded, "So.... where is it?" The Xatu was able to get out, "In the other room." The buizel told the ninetales, "Wait outside, make sure everyone's still alive. Tend to everyone as needed." Keira nodded, looking toward her bag of healing supplies, and went out the door into the snow. Fleur walked up to Abraham, raised her fist into an ice punch, and delivered a powerful ice punch uppercut right into the bird's jaw. He fell, and as she went for the cure, she growled, "Cynic."

 Fluer's paws wrapped around the vial of cure, but suddenly, different voices were able to be heard. She peaked around the corner, a lucario, Ryu, and his group were bickering with Abraham. I need to get out, fast. thought Fleur. Her arm ached, the one where she was bitten. The buizel was the only known pokemon to have survived a bite. In fact, it enhanced her speed. She relied on this and used quick attack to duck through the shadows, past the other pokemon and outside. However, Ryu thought he saw something move. As Fleur started for the trees, the lucario yelled, "Hold it!" Fleur stopped. Ryu said, "Come back with the cure! We won't do anything, all we want is the cure. Then we'll go back to Kalos."

 Fleur responded, "Funny, because that's where I was going. And about the cure, no." She kept going, almost to the trees. Ryu charged with extremespeed, but Fleur dodged masterfully. The lucario called his group out to follow. Fleur then said, "Fine! Everyone, come on out!" Then one by one, a small group of pokemon rose, some from the trees, one, Keira, from the snow. The ninetales seemed to know these pokemon, Fleur said, "Can you handle this?" Keira then said, "I can do more than that." she had a devilish grin on her face.

 Keira stepped forward and pushed Ryu over into the snow. "What the hell? Why did you just leave me for dead on the beach!" She stared daggers at the lucario. Ryu then flashed back.....

 In the flashback, a vulpix was seen taking a surf from a doomsday pokemon. She was near dead. Ryu stayed behind, he wanted to pay his last respects. he thought she was dead. He then left. That vulpix was Keira.

 "Keira? I thought you were dead!" Ryu said, standing. Keira then said, sharply, "Guess not! And also, guess who evolved?!" Ryu started towards her, and said, "Come on back with me. We can get the cure and go end this." Keira growled, "I'm warning you, take one more step...." The lucario did. The ninetales grinned, "I've been waiting for this for months..." She charged fire and blasted Ryu with overheat. Ryu stood up and started to charge an aura sphere, "Keira! Come on!" Keira jumped up and slammed a paw into his face, ending the skirmish. Keira then said, "No, you come on! You left me there, you've been acting all overly important and I was getting tired of it! That was the final straw. This proves that you aren't almighty!" She then turned to Fleur and the rest of her group, "Let's go, i'm done with him." One of the pokemon in the other group stepped forward, but Keira turned and glared at it, and they backed up.

 Fleur and her group started to leave, except for Keira. She left an Oran and Rawst berry behind. "See you, and don't die." she said, running to catch up with her new teammates. The ninetales disappeared off into the Kanto winter.

Plot: This is set after Get Out Alive. Fleur and her group reached the cure and got it. They're heading back to Kalos to make the cure and end the doomsday virus. However, the danger still exists. Doomsday pokemon are getting smarted by the second and are growing in number. You are a part of Fleur's group. None of you are doomsday. Your mission is to get back safely and to end the virus.

Post by: Kpyna on October 27, 2014, 02:38
Name: Nova
Pokemon: Houndoom
Gender: Female
Appearance: Nova's fur shimmers blue, very unusual for a houndoom. Her eyes are the typical crimson red, and she has dwarfed horns, just like a normal houndoom female. Her underbelly is pale orange, and her stature is nothing impressive for a houndoom of her sex. One of the eye sockets on the skull on her chest has a houndoomite pendant driven into it.
Personality: For a pokemon that was forced to raise itself, Nova is surprisingly friendly towards those that still have a pulse. She believes that all survivors should stick together for the good of all pokemon, including herself. She's not sensitive though, and doesn't mind getting into quarrels and even physical fights with others. Nova doesn't have a lot of faith in others sticking around, and when she learned there was a cure, she just wanted it so she could cure her pack, and have her life be normal for once. She does long for that normal life, and is driven to get it.
Moveset: Crunch, Will-o-Wisp, Dark Pulse, Flamethower.
Weapons: Houndoomite.
History: Nova was born in a pack, as one of the few remaining tribal pokemon that still exist, in a world that became full of cities and settlers. She was the daughter of the pack's leader, and had great prophetic importance, due to the exotic color of her fur. However, when all of the elders in the pack called for great property due to her birth, the Doomsday virus took over. After her pack was inevitably destroyed, Nova got together with other groups of pokemon to attempt to live as normal a life as she could, but the groups were often destroyed or dissolved. She met Kiera and her group a few days after Kiera was deserted by the original group.
Starter post:

 Nova was guarding the outside, making sure that no doomsday or otherwise were going to get in, and foil the group's plans. She didn't know why any survivors would want the serum for malicious reasons, but she wasn't about to take any chances of anyone stealing it. After all, who could she trust with it besides herself?

 A commotion came from within the building, and Nova could see Fleur jump from out of the building with the vial. Nova snapped to attention, and ran by Fleur to protect her from whatever might be after her. She saw Fleur in  confrontation with a Lucario, and Nova got down deep into the ground, trying to make herself totally invisible to the Lucario. She could sense other group members around her. If this Lucario messed up, he might not make it out alive... Nova hoped that for his sake, he made it out alive.

"Everyone, come on out!" Fleur called, and Nova stepped forward, glaring into the Lucario. However, Kiera seemed to have him covered-- one dramatic confrontation and and overheat later, and the group was on their way to spread the cure.

"Well, and just like that, we're on our way to ending this mess..." Nova said, looking behind her at the lab, and the other survivors. She wondered how far they must have come... No matter, the outcome would most likely be what they would ultimately want, anyways. "Hey, Kiera, that Lucario won't cause us any grief, right?"

Name: Patrick
Pokemon: Sylveon
Gender: Male
Appearance: Looks like the average Sylveon, albeit a little shorter. He also has a slightly longer and fluffier tail. His feeler ribbons are constantly waving and wiggling and curling around whatever's close by. He has an optimistic air about him, and is usually gently smiling.
Personality: With a quiet voice and friendly words, Patrick is a kindhearted friend to all, good at soothing arguments and calming frightened souls. He keeps his chin up no matter what, and doesn't let the little things trip him up. He hates seeing others in pain, and wants to restore the world to its peaceful prior state. He's also a bit of a weirdo, daydreaming and making odd comparisons and collecting whatever little baubles he can find just for fun.
For his cute looks and sweet personality, though, he is a skilled defensive battler, good at confusing and wearing out foes while Sixx physically takes things down. His relationship with the Zoroark is extremely tight, and he is the best for calming Sixx's anxieties.
Moveset: Protect, Double Team, Sand Attack, Moonblast
Weapons and Gear: Keeps a little leather satchel around his side, full of berries and little trinkets he's discovered along the journey.
History: Patrick never knew his birth family. His egg was accidentally knocked out of its clutch, and ended up at the bottom of a ditch until it was scooped up by an expectant Zoroark mother who felt bad for the lost unborn child and took the egg back to her nest. He hatched with her other Zorua babies, and was raised along with them as their weird Eevee sibling. Sixx was one of his 'siblings', and the two became extremely close, brothers in every sense except blood. The love they have for each other is what allowed Patrick to evolve into a Sylveon. When the Doomsday virus stroke their entire family was wiped out, leaving Sixx and Patrick to strike out on their own and make due. They eventually joined Fleur's legion, and travel with hope a cure will be tracked down.
Starter post: [see below, his and Sixx's are combined]

Name: Sixx
Pokemon: Zoroark
Gender: Male
Appearance: Has a bit of an odd condition where the markings around his eyes aren't red, but black, giving almost an eyeliner-like appearance. The black tips in his back/head/tail fur are also bigger than normal, leaking into his main red fur. The bead-like ornament clipped around his tail is silver instead of blue-ish green. He's tall and lanky, but often hunches over, hiding his true stature. He's missing a few teeth, and his right ear is badly mangled and ripped up.
Like all Zoroarks, Sixx can create illusions and make himself appear as other Pokemon; however, his illusions are often easy to discern if one looks hard enough. Notably, he has trouble changing his eyes, meaning when he appears as other Pokemon he tends to still have his bright teal eyes. Large scale illusions wear him out quickly, too
Personality: Sixx likes to play up a real tough guy act to impress people, rolling his eyes and snarking and threatening enemies, but in reality, he's a very nervous creature. He spends a lot of time quietly trying to not have an anxiety attack and having trouble making friends. He admires Keira heavily, but never can find the words to say it. The Doomsday virus sickens him, and he wants to find a cure badly, to prevent the atrocities that befell his and presumably innumerable other families.
Patrick is the most important Pokemon in his life right now. The two play to each other's skills excellently, and battle best as a team. Sixx is constantly keeping an eye out for his 'brother', and would be beyond crushed if anything happened to him
Moveset: Night Slash, Agility, Hone Claws, Dig
Weapons and Gear: Sharp claws, speed, and his cloaking techniques.
History: Sixx was always a nervous boy. He grew up with his siblings under the watchful eye of their mother, a shy and quiet baby fox who spent a lot of time with his odd adopted brother Patrick. He grew close to the eevee, evolving not long before he did. All was well until the Doomsday virus struck. He watched his own blood kin be turned into monsters and fled with Patrick into the wilderness, roaming about without much of a cause and often getting himself in scuffles until they joined Fleur's group.
Starter post:

"You're trembling," Patrick said quietly, delicate body flattened against the cold, snowy earth, hiding as much as the short pink creature could. One of his feelers appeared to be wrapped around a tree branch. He watched the building Fleur had gone into, listened as commotion rumbling from inside. He hoped nothing was going wrong.

"Something's happening in there," the tree replied, shifting a bit and causing an odd rippling along its limbs: a telltale sign of a Zoroark illusion, "And I don't think it's something good."

"Ah, well, with that attitude, of course not!" Patrick giggled. His large ears perked up suddenly, as he watched Fleur rocket out of the building, vial of cure in hand. He grinned, and turned his head to the "talking tree"  "You see! Always such a Negative Nosepass!...Hm?" The Sylveon squinted, spotting a Lucario their Buizel leader was now getting into a bit of a growling contest with. "Oh my..."

Just then, Fleur called for everyone to come out, and with a heavy sigh the tree rippled and faded, revealing a hunched over, huffing Sixx. It'd take him a little to recover from that illusion. He looked up, spying Nova the houndoom not close by, and turned to watch as Keira appeared, screamed at, and attacked the Lucario. "tch. Serves that idiot right."

The brothers crept closer as the confrontation came to a head, Keira practically decimating the Lucario with an Overheat. Soon after, their little survivor group was back on their way to Kalos, though Sixx kept glancing back at the lab and hoping everything was going alright. Patrick bounded beside him, smiling. "Well, that's a finished step! Just a little more closer to a full cure and happiness for all." Sixx looked down at him and scoffed a quiet laugh, reaching to muss the Sylveon's head.

I will reserve a spot. However, having 2 ninetales in the party could get a bit confusing for a scrub like me. Plus, i'd prefer that people have 1-2 characters so that other people can get spots and that the characters that each user has will get the proper amount of attention. Not that you have to be rid of a character, it's just 3 can get very hectic. I do, however, thank you for using some males in it, there were a lot of females so far and no males.

Post by: SirBlaziken on October 29, 2014, 01:27
Accepted, both of them. Here comes mine.

Name: Keira
Pokemon: Ninetales
Gender: Female
Appearance: Keira, at first, looks like your average ninetales. Look closer, you'd be mistaken. The differences start with her eyes, one's sky blue, and the other is deep violet. This has been known to switch back and forth every few hours. Secondly, the red scarf that Ryu gave her is now tied around her forehead like a bandanna. Third, the white flower that used to basically tell how alive or dead she was (see the first rp) is now pinned to her center tail. Lastly, the tips of her tails go from yellow to a section of orange and finally black towards the tips.
Personality: As time went on, Keira grew less shy, but disappointment and hardship did a huge number on the young vulpix (read my lips, she was the human equivalent of 5). Many lives were lost that she tried to save, when kept frustrating her. Finally, she broke after the beach incident (see original post). Since evolution, Keira has become a lot more bitter and sharp tongued (like Yellowfang, for those of you Warriors fans). Keira, however, is strong and reliable, but not one to let weakness show in her, in fear of letting everyone down, like she felt she did last time. She was matured a lot and has broken out of the shy shell she was in. There is a caring in her, but it's deep down and reserved for the injured, and for those that she actually trusts now, one of which is Fleur. Hurt one of them, Keira will not let you leave without a few scar or a burn.
Moveset: Overheat, Hypnosis, Feint Attack, Extrasensory
Weapons And Gear: She has a bag slung over her shoulder full of healing items, and the cure. Also a fire stone, which due to a genetic mutation, she can absorb the power from it, but only in dire situations. It's partially used (like half of it is gray, and the other the usual coloring).
History: After her parents being killed by a d-day horde and nearly dying getting to the base, Keira joined Ryu's group and they got very far. However, she couldn't save many of the healthy pokemon she met, as weel as some of her comrades, a bitterness tempered in her. Her old group pronounced her dead and left her on a beach in Johto, where she evolved and the bitterness came as she realized that they abandoned her. Fleur and her band of pokemon found Keira and took pity on her. Fleur helped her focus her emotions, albeit into anger, but that was better than the emotional mess that she was before. Now with the serum, she seeks to get back to the base and save this world, with or without Ryu.
Stater Post: Keira burrowed into the snow to await anything coming by, when she heard a familiar voice. Ryu's. It took all of her will to not rip him to shreds right then and there. So Keira waited, and waited. Finally, Fleur came out the door, holding up the cure. Then Ryu and his group came out and the confrontation began. Keira jumped out of the snow and into the front. This is it, the moment you've sought after. she thought. Then she began, and eventually brought down her old friend. And stay down. she thought. Keira considered kicking snow on him, but she was better than that. She was better than Ryu and his group. As Keira left with Fleur and everyone in her group, Nova posed her question. Keira answered, "Unless he's stupid enough to try again, no worries there. Then again, he probably is. He's that stubborn." the ninetales laughed at her own response.

Name: Fleur
Pokemon: Buizel
Gender: Female (glad I asked ;))
Appearance: It's your average buizel. However, along her right arm is a scar and the arm is discolored slightly. Fleur is battle worn and scarred and a bit lean from all the running she's done. Believe me, she runs fast.
Personality: At first glance, she's very sneaky and stealthy, the polar opposite of honor. Get to know her and Fleur is very relaxed and fun. When it comes to it, she will lead, but the buizel prefers to take the back. She has no problems leading, but there's always someone else who's willing, which makes no difference to her.
Moveset: Ice Punch, Quick Attack, Aqua Tail, Agility
Weapons and Gear: She does have 3 knives stored in Keira's bag that she used only if absolutely needed.
History: Fleur was on the run even since they took out her entire village. She did take a bite from a scrappy little axew d-day, but to everyone's surprise, she survived with no ill effects. That's right, she's been bitten and survived. Perhaps Arceus took mercy on her. Anywho, it gave her a little speed boost. After traveling for a while, she met everyone, excluding Keira, and they gathered at the base and set off from there. They encountered a setback because the seas were too rough in Sinnoh to travel. They got past Hoenn and to Johto, where Keira was found. Fleur took a liking to her in an instant and the group eventually got to the cure, moments before the other group.
Starter Post: Keira stepped forward and Fleur stepped back. What's she going to do? Fleur thought. She soon got her answer. Fleur watched as Keira destroyed her old comrade and then growled some words at the lucario. Woah..... that's some rage there. Thought the buizel. Keira said they were done there and everyone started off. Fleur was rattled by this and wanted to see if her ninetales friend was ok. However, Keira was laughing at something, which made Fleur relax as the group went on through the Kanto snow.

Name: SCRAP (Space Center Research and Analysis Porygon)

Pokemon: Porygon

Gender: None, though his voice is computerized masculine.
((For simplicity, I'll use masculine pronouns))

Appearance: On both "feet" is the "Mind Badge" with a rocket design inside: a logo designed by the researchers at the Mossdeep Space Center (MSC). He has a reverse color scheme of a shiny Porygon (blue and white in place of teal and pink, respectively) and has been modified to contain several commands and programs designed for analysis and exploration of harsh environments. Thrusters have been attached to him to allow for faster travel and to reorient the Pokémon should he find himself being blown away or falling from a great height. The thrusters are found below the "feet" and look like circular pads. He has a metal box attached to his back for collecting samples to analyze, which can double as a storage unit.

Personality: Being that he is essentially a Porygon with extra software, he has all the personality of the species; that is, not much. SCRAP can speak and generate sentences in response to a wide number of subjects  and will preface responses with the tone the response should be interpreted in ("Who are you?" "[Informative] I am SCRAP, designed at Mossdeep Space Center. I have been programmed to research and explore other planets."). His voice is computerized, monotone, and he speaks with a Russian accent (a prank by one of the programmers). SCRAP will adapt and learn from his environment: always scanning and assessing the area around him. When he was working for MSC, he would receive commands and send back data and findings. Anything he analyzes, records, or otherwise processess is packaged into a data file and sent back to MSC. Due to the programming, SCRAP is very goal oriented and is driven to accomplish the task at hand. SCRAP can analyze the situation around him and change priorities of tasks: for example he will prioritize movement and hiding if hostiles (or potential hostiles) are detected and combat is ill advised. Emotions are difficult for SCRAP to understand, though he recognizes certain actions (crying, laughing, growling/snarling) to be associated with certain emotions (sadness, happiness, anger). SCRAP can recognize certain factors and corresponding actions, such as heightened aggression and attack, calmness and peace; but he can't develop any sort of complex emotional understanding of a situation. He can't fight his programming: his primary mission is to collect samples for analysis, take photographs and record what he finds.

Moveset: Tri-Attack, Recover, Recycle, Conversion
((I'll take some creative liberty with Recycle and Conversion. Recycle can allow some items, like Potions, be used twice but it requires an energy source such as matter or electricity. The stronger the item, the more energy needed. Conversion will be the manga/anime adaptation: scan and change his appearence.))

Weapons and Gear: A metal case designed for carrying samples. He has some built in devices that allow for the analysis of material found, as well as other devices planted as security measures and to aid in contacting MSC. He is equipped with the thrusters mentioned above, allowing him to dash and move quickly for small bursts. This also comes in handy for improvized attacks, such as tackles. SCRAP can store a few items within a chest cavity, though the storage room is limited. As of right now, he has:
-Moon Stone x8
-Round Stone x3
-Fire Stone x1
-Potion x2
-Persim Berry x3
-Oran Berry x20

History: As mentioned before, SCRAP was designed as a research vessel. He was sent to the moon to explore the environment. There, SCRAP analyzed several rocks and stones, took photographs, and performed analysis on soil composition. When an area was well researched, he was converted into data and sent to another area of the moon via satellite. It was during his mission that the Doomsday Infection appeared back home. SCRAP continued sending data to the MSC, but received no reply Regardless, he continued his mission and continued to be teleported to other parts of the moon for analysis. After nearly five years of silence, an emergency program activated while SCRAP was in hibernation mode. The program was similar to the routine designed to move him around the moon, only this routine tried to send him back home. Being that most computers, as well as civilization, was destroyed at this point, he was materialized near a power plant: the best source of electric fields. He continued his mission, exploring the desolate landscape and analyzing what he could find. SCRAP didn't consider the area he was in to be Kanto, as his programming told him he was still on the moon. He encountered hostiles and hid with Conversion or picked some off with a well aimed Tri-Attack. He found various stones, analyzed them, and kept the ones that his programming considered most important. All the while he would continue to call home, awaiting a response.

Starter post: A particularly persistent, but tired, Quilava charged SCRAP. The Porygon tilted his head to analyze the situation and dashed sideways. The fire-type face planted where the Porygon once floated. It stood back up and let out a growl.
"[Assertively] Continued hostility will be met with force." SCRAP beeped. The Quilava either didn't understand or didn't care, as it lifted itself up and charged on all fours.
"[Alert] Science Vessel SCRAP to Mother. Please respond. Hostiles engaged. Entering Attack Mode."
A triangle formed by three white points faded in near SCRAP's nose. The three points changed color: one blue, one red, one yellow. The Quilava leapt up and launched a strong Ember attack, but SCRAP fired back. A focused stream of fire shot through the Quilava's Ember and struck it, blinding the Pokémon as it shielded itself from the burst of flame. A beam of ice shot out, striking the Quilava and setting it spinning in the air. The final hit, a jolt of lightning, struck the fire Pokémon as it fell to the ground.
SCRAP leaned forward and released a burst of air from his thrusters, slamming into the downed Quilava and knocking it into a tree. It struggled to stand on its legs, blood dripping from a cut and staining the cold winter snow. SCRAP pressed the attack, slamming into the Quilava again and crushing it between itself and the tree. The Pokémon gasped for air, only to be cut short by the Porygon tossing it aside with his nose. The Quilava slid on the floor, unconscious. SCRAP moved back to assess the situation.
"[Alert] Hostile has been neutralized.." he beeped. There came some shouting from beyond where the Porygon was. The Porygon floated slowly past the trees to observe from a distance. Two groups of Pokémon stood there, shouting among themselves. One, a Ninetails, launched a blast of fire at a Lucario. The Fighting type fell to the floor, injured. The Ninetails turned to one group, spoke, and they moved off…in his direction.
"[Alert] Unidentified lifeforms approaching. Engaging camouflage." SCRAP chimed. He scanned the nearby area with Conversion and changed his body color and texture. It wasn't perfect, but anyone who wasn't actively looking for him would have trouble seeing him. Unless they ran into him of course.

Finally finished this. I'm afraid there may still be problems here, but if I don't post now, I'm going to stay up all night tweaking it.

Name: Unknown (the scientists referred to him as Subject 001, but he didn't even know that)

Pokemon: Anorith

Gender: Male

Appearance: Smaller and a little lighter, in both weight and colour, than the average Anorith. The lighter colouration may have been caused by the genetic modification, but it’s impossible to know for sure.

Personality: Subject 001 is generally seen as timid. He isn't, he's just scared because of, well, everything. Everything is new to him and it’s just too much to take in at once. He is also usually confused and frustrated because he has no idea what is going on. He is observant and catches onto things quickly. He is very determined and a little stubborn. He doesn't talk much, mostly because he is unfamiliar with modern language, so he mostly communicates through clicks, chirps, and screes, since they are more universally understood then the ancient language he speaks.

He enjoys battle, though he's not very good at it, unless under water. Another thing he’s not very good at; walking. He is able to keep up with the rest, mostly, but it’s a struggle. However, he is a good swimmer, in still water, currents mess him up. Because of all his problems with not being in water, he often feels that he is a burden, so he is determined to prove to himself and everyone else that he is not a burden.

He doesn't like to be alone; he prefers to be in a group, being alone in the lab for so long was awful. He likes competition but hates to lose. He hates accepting help, though he often has to do to being a fish out of water, literally and figuratively. He is friendly and a good listener. He is also loyal to those he forms any kind of bond with and quick to defend them.

Moveset: Protect, Metal Claw, Water Gun, Mud Sport

Weapons and Gear:
Has the ability to quickly regenerate thanks to genetic modification. Not instantaneously, but fast enough that he can survive many wounds that would otherwise be fatal. Rule of thumb for this, if he survives the first few minutes he should be fine, and should fully recover in a few hours, as long as he doesn’t sustain more injuries in that time. This ability has no effect on diseases or viruses.

Has the ability the go for unnaturally long periods of time with little to no food, also thanks to genetic modification. This depends on activity level; the less active he is the longer he can survive.
He is unaware of both these abilities.

His intelligence was also enhanced to equal that of an average modern pokemon.

As for actual weapons, all he really has are his claws. He can bite, but, unless he and his target are in the water, it’s incredibly difficult and awkward.

History: Subject 001 had barely been alive for a week when the Doomsday virus entered the world. He had few memories and didn't know very much about the strange new world he woke up in. All he could remember about his past was that he was one member of a large colony of Anorith. He couldn't remember exactly how he died, or even that he died, he just thought he fell unconscious and somehow ended up at the lab, but he vaguely remembered being alone when it happened. He couldn't remember his name either, and he hadn't been around long enough to pick up on the fact that he was being referred to as Subject 001.

When the Doomsday pokemon escaped, he was in a well-ventilated, out-of-the-way wing of the lab. One of the scientists working on the project, a separate project from the Doomsday project, was putting him back into his cage when the evacuation alarm sounded. Panicked, the scientist ran out, forgetting to close and lock the cage door. The little Anorith was panicking as well, the alarm was loud and scary and he had no idea what it was. He crawled out of the cage and down the hall until he came across a supply closet with an open door. He crawled inside and used his claws to close the door as well as he could. There he stayed, occasionally leaving to walk around the lab until he got too nervous and went back, until the day Keira and the rest of the group came to get the cure.

Starter post:
Subject 001 was walking through the familiar halls near his closet for what felt like the millionth time. The loneliness of the empty halls had got to him long ago, he was desperate to find someone, anyone, he didn’t care who. It got to the point where his desperation for company had overcome his fear of the strange new world. He had walked farther away from the closet then he ever had before when he heard something loud; it sounded like voices, and fighting. He scuttled through the halls as fast as he could to find out what was going on. When he reached the source of the noise he saw a large, cream coloured… thing with nine tails fighting a tall, blue thing. The cream coloured thing used a powerful fire type move on the blue thing and quickly ended the fight. The Anorith was in awe of the powerful pokemon. He then looked over to the group the pokemon was returning to and… Wait! Oh no! They were leaving! He let out a loud scree, hoping to get their attention. Then, after hesitating a moment, he scurried outside to chase after them, but he didn't get very far before he got himself buried in the snow. He desperately squirmed and flopped around like a Magikarp, trying to lift himself up enough to catch a breath, screeing and squeaking in panic, but only buried himself deeper.

Edit: made a small change to the history to clarify it a bit. Pretty late to be making changes, I know, but I didn't actually change anything, just went into a bit more detail.

Alright, Subject 001 (as he will be called in the original post) is accepted, nothing that I could find wrong. Just need Opal to get hers ready. I'm losing non reserved joins! After Opal is accepted, we will begin.

Character form:

Character Name: Mikhial

Pokemon: Alakazam

Gender: Male

Appearance: (http://i62.tinypic.com/2zpr3o1.gif) Nobody knows why the blue ‘pads’ or orange mustache ends are there. Including Mikhial himself.

Personality: If asked, Mikhail would refer to himself as a 'pessimistic realist'. He legitimately believes that the world is probably doomed, but sees no benefit in just leaving it to fester. If he feels that he owes someone, he will do what he must to pay off his debt.
He has a very good memory, that is also long. He remembers the actions of others, and isn't likely to trust someone who has previously betrayed him.
He keeps his oaths to the best of his ability, and expects the same from others.

Moveset: Psychic (works as Telekinesis. He can lift about 350 lb (Not including himself) at once, with a range of about 300 meters.), Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Calm Mind

Weapons and Gear: He carries two swords (which he picked up from a Pokemon who had died fighting a D-Day Pokemon).
One is white hilted, and the blade is carved with a tiger. It radiates heat (using/amplifying the wielders ‘hot’ emotions).
The second has an azure hilt and the dark blade is carved with a dragon. It radiates cold (using/amplifying the users ‘cold’ emotions).
The blades do have names, but they were lost with their original owner’s life.

History: Until the virus hit, Mikhial was a non violent pokemon. He was more interested in learning about the world, history, mythology. Anything that crossed his interest. Combat was never very interesting, until the virus hit.
Then it all changed, and the world became 'kill or be killed'. So Mikhial learned to kill. He wasn't happy with it, but understood the necessity. Fleur found him when he was at risk of being overwhelmed by a d-day Weavile, and saved his hide. Since then, he's traveled with her group, willing to do whatever it takes to survive this horror. His telepathy proved to be a useful tool for scouting, allowing him to sense upcoming threats, and, with practice, whether those threats were Doomsday Pokemon.

Starter post: See Below.

Character form:

Character Name: Reiru

Pokemon: Charizard (MegaX stone)

Gender: Female

Appearance: A normal Charizard, although she has a long scar going down one cheek. She wears a tattered blue bandanna around her right forearm. When Mega evolved, her wings are tattier than even a normal Mega Charizard X's, although she can still somehow fly.

Personality: Reiru has changed. She is consumed by her regrets, and doesn't know how to fight them off anymore. As such, she has become almost a D-Day mon herself, mindlessly driven to survive. Once she has decided on a path, she will push towards it with all of her strength, with no consideration for how it might damage her. Aside from things involving combat or travel, Reiru distances herself from any travelling companions, not letting anyone get close.
She has no desire to feel hope anymore, since the last time she let herself be hopeful people died, and their quest turned out to be a failure. She'll work for redemption, and to try and finish the job that was started back in Kalos, but she refuses to hope that they'll succeed, believing that hope only leads to people getting hurt.

Moveset: Outrage, Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, ThunderPunch

Weapons and Gear: A leather satchel, which Reiru doesn't know the contents of (It contains a coil of rope, herbal healing items, and a needle and spool of silk thread, and some other odds and ends.)

History: When Reiru was young, she and he sister Mei (Deceased) were left alone in the world. They were 'adopted' and raised by a Pokemon who felt sorry for them. When the sisters were sent on their way, each with a Mega Stone (Charizardite X for Reiru, and Charizardite Y for Mei.) The two fought, and survived together for a while, before Mei got bitten by a D-Day Pokemon. She attacked Reiru, and Reiru fought her sister to a standstill, but couldn't bring herself to kill Mei. So she fled. Soon after, Del found her.
Ten years later, Abaham got in contact with the group. Then they started the journey to Kanto. Early on, Reiru encountered Mei again, and the two sisters faught. Reiru was all but defeated, when she was saved by a Greninja (who later died. Seeing a pattern?).
As their journey proceeded, Reiru withdrew more and more. She continued being protective, but when she had to leave Innis to die in order to protect the rest of the group, something inside her cracked. When Kiera was 'killed', that something fractured. Sunny's disappearance soon after, and Tanith's death, they sealed the deal. And then, with the trials finally over, this other group showed up and took the cure. Reiru resigned herself to repeating the journey, especially once she realized the identity of the Ninetails. She resolved to stay by them, even if it meant following at a distance the whole time.

Starter post:
((Contains both Mikhial and Reiru's starters.))

When Fleur and Keira went inside to find out about the cure, Mikhial had been given orders to stay aware, and let them know if something happened. He couldn't hear the conversation, but he could feel the anger in both female Pokemon. Well whoever did that is... The thought was cut off as he felt several other presences coming into his range. None of them felt like infected, but they could be a threat.
He saw the new group go into the building, and was about to warn Fleur when he saw her blur out of the building. She was followed by a Lucario, who clearly challenged her.
When the Buizel called for them to all come on out, the Alakazam floated down, almost serenely. Although this image was slightly ruined by the two swords floating next to him. He could feel Keira's resentment coiled up up an overwound spring, but he could also feel the Lucario's regrets and memories. The Alakazam knew better than to interfere with the inevitable, and so only watched while Keira and her old teammate had their dramatic confrontation.
With that resolved, he nodded to the other group, and floated after his team, resolving to not question Keira about her decision, or what he had heard.
~~~
When Ryu and Kalea lead what what was left of the group to Abraham's lab, Reiru had chosen to perch on the roof, to make sure that the Xatu couldn't flee. Then everything started moving quickly. But she registered one thing. Keira.
Even as the Ninetails beat Ryu, Reiru stayed stunned. As the other group filed away, Reiru heard someone come up behind her.
"You're going with them, aren't you?"
Reiru didn't turn to face Kalea. "I have to. I have to-" The Charizard started, before the Blaziken interrupted.
"Make it right. Make up for failing her last time. But you need to understand something. It's all or nothing. If you go after them, I will not let you come back. I can't be worrying about you, and trying to keep the rest of us alive. So make your choice. Do you stay and drown in your regrets, or do you go, choosing to not look back?"
In response, the Charizard spread her wings.
"Heh. That's what I thought. Here." Kalea slung a satchel over Reiru's shoulder. "Goodbye old friend, and may you find the redemption you seek." Then the Blaziken pushed Reiru off of the roof, and watched the Charizard spread her wings and fly away, following the new group.
Coming soon. Need to get off the comp soon.
EDIT: Almost done. Just figuring out what the starter should be.
Re-EDIT: Eh starter is eh. But it's the best I could come up with so...
For anyone who has a bit of doubt about the swords, Opal asked and it all checks out. As long as it doesn't go too far, it has been allowed.
So far, Opal's form looks good, I'll give a final judgement once her forms have been completed.
Alright, your characters have been accepted. We shall begin.... now
  Keira was starting to calm herself down after everything and was starting to regain her composure as the group went on the way they came. However, something felt odd to Fleur, who kept looking over her shoulder. The buizel thought she saw the shadow of a flying creature over the treetops. She stopped to look around, but saw nothing. Odd. Fleur thought as she started to catch up with everyone else. The ninetales felt the same way and made her way over to Mikhial and asked him, "Mikhial, do you feel as if we're being.... watched?" Keira had grown a little more superstitious since joining the new group, and knew that the alakazam was the right one to ask about this. She had psychic powers of her own, but they weren't as refined as Mikhial's.
  Fleur kept looking at the sky and behind her was they kept going. There was something out there that she didn't like and was about to ask Mikhial about it. However, as she looked over, Keira was consulting with the psychic type already. The buizel just kept walking, hoping this would get resolved.
((just figuring out, how are SCRAP and 001 going to get caught up? Actually mainly worried about 001 since Cat said that it's a struggle for him to keep up with the rest.))
When Keira approached him and asked if he felt like they were being watched, Mikhial nodded "I do. If i reach, i can feel something behind and up above us. It's flying high, and just out of my range to grab it. I can feel... Regret, and worry. But the regret is the strongest emotion. I can drop back, get myself higher and stop it, if you and Fleur would like."
((They'll catch up. My worry is people not posting and then the rp falls apart))
 Keira shakes her head, "Not needed, if it was close enough to attack, it would. Going back would just slow us." she says. The sun was setting and they'd likely have to stop soon for the day. However, it didn't seem safe to the ninetales to stop here, especially with whatever what following them. Maybe someone else in the group would figure it out. Fleur walked up besides Keira and asked her, "It's starting to get dark, should we stop here?" Keira shakes her head again and responds, "Maybe a bit farther, I don't think it's safe for us to stop with whatever that is following us. My thinking is that it will give up or get close enough for us to see what it is, and eliminate if needed."
((Yeah, Rhea, that was kinda my worry as well... I think I got it worked out, though it's a little rambly, but I don't want to spent the next half hour editing, so hopefully it's not too bad.))
In all of his struggling, 001 managed to flip himself over, which made him even more stuck but at least allowed him to breath. On a solid surface, he was able to lift his head up enough using his claws to get his mouth off the ground and allow him to breath on land, but in the snow, putting any weight on his claws just pushed them into the snow. Even just having his claws on the ground made them bury themselves into the snow and cause him to get stuck.
For a moment, he considered giving up and crawling back to the lab, but he quickly became angry at this thought. No, he was not going back to the lab and its crushing isolation. With some effort, he managed to flip himself back over and try to keep going; this time using his claws to pull himself along instead of letting them bury themselves into the snow when he moved. This actually let him go a little faster as well, only problem was it was still hard to breath. Soon, he hit a depression in the snow. The snow in it was harder and more densely packed than the snow around it. He rested a moment, then came to the realization that this was a footprint left by one of the larger pokemon. He wasn't sure which one, it was actually more likely it was left by several pokemon walking around the same spot, but that didn't matter. Lifting himself up a little, he noticed more footprints. In fact, practically an entire path had been packed down. He started to follow it. This made movement far easier.
With the sun setting, which meant the group was likely to rest soon, and the speed gained both by using his claws to pull himself forward and having a harder surface to walk on, he was confident he could catch up. The thought that they may be hostile toward him, or think he was hostile, or simply would not want him there, hadn't even crossed his mind, he was just excited to finally get out of that lab and the isolation that came with it.
"Assessing situation." SCRAP buzzed quietly to himself. His camoflauge seemed to be working well; the Pokémon he was observing weren't aware of his presence as he followed them quietly in the trees. They did look alert though and were watching above them. There wasn't enough data to form a hypothesis to explain who this group is. SCRAP noticed some important differences between these Pokémon and some of the others he had encountered (and fled from or fought off) while searching for stones:
One– These Pokémon spoke among themselves and seemed to care for one another
Two- Theya acted as a team by planning and protecting one another
Three- Some of them held stones for reasons that weren't mindless
This last detail had not been high on SCRAP's priorties when the Pokémon began moving toward where he was, but now that he was properly hidden from them he could detect the faint anomalies emanating from the stones. One had a high heat signature, not unlike a stone he found earlier. Some others held stones he didn't have data on. This warranted sending another message to the Mossdeep Space Center as soon as he could determine of the Pokémon were hostile.
((Hey just a head's up my posting may be only once or twice a day; I have a very busy class schedule and a massive outside project I've been assigned so I have to juggle my time. Thanks for understanding! ;u; ))
Sixx's ears twitched, and he looked around as the small group headed forward. "Something following us?" He said quietly. He sighed a bit and stretched, shaking out his fluffy mane, "Great."
Patrick bounded along next to him, smiling breezily. "I'm sure it's nothing we can't handle!" Just then, his feelers wiggled a bit, and the Sylveon turned his head, stopping and squinting. He could swear he could see something...hopping? Hopping along their footprints in the snow? He blinked, shaking his head. "That's weird!" He remarked to no one in particular. The way his feelers were wobbling about make him giggle; they seemed almost excited for something!
"Hey, Patty. Come on," Sixx called, glancing back and seeing his brother was now several paces behind him. He heard Keira saw they weren't stopped for a little while still, and he didn't want Patrick to get left behind. Thankfully, Patrick perked up and quickly came back over. The Zoroark rolled his eyes a little and pressed forward, "Don't dawdle, dude. We move fast."
((It's cool Dana. That's all most of us can get out a day anyways. Unlike me, you people have a life.  :P))
Fleur looks behind her again. She could've sworn that something was behind them, but what was it? The buizel shrugged. The group approached a little clearing with minimal snow, spring was approaching, which is good for traveling. So, the snow was starting to melt. Fleur looked at Keira, who was scoping the area out a little bit. Night has already fallen. "Keira, I think that this area seems safe enough to stay." said Fleur. Keira sighed, "I suppose that we can't go on forever, but there's something out there. I have this feeling....." said the ninetales, but she kept talking, "I think we need a sort of sentry." Keira kept thinking, and Fleur didn't like the look on her friend's face. This meant that Keira was going to stay up again to watch over everyone.
 "Keira, you can't stay up half the night every night. Trust me, it's not healthy." Fleur said. Keira sighed again, "Yes, I know mom." she said. Fleur had a chuckle at that, and Keira smiled at that. "Nice to see that your sense of humor is still there. I'll do it tonight." said the buizel. She volunteered, not because she wanted to do it, but she knew ever since they met Keira that she was a bit insecure and on edge all the time. Back when the ninetales was a vulpix, she was attacked by the d-day pokemon the first time, getting her into this mess. The night is also when the water types ambushed her old comrades. Keira shook her head, "Not the whole night. I'll take the first half, if that's ok with you. It's likely that whatever's out there will think we're all out and likely will strike then. Either that or Ryu again. If it's Ryu, i'd love another go around." she said. Fleur seemed satisfied with this and then announced to everyone else, "Alright everyone, we'll stop here unless anyone objects. Keira and I will be on guard and will wake you if something comes up." Keira then said, "I'll get a fire going, and I just noticed a berry bush right behind us. Unless you want to hunt a d-day pokemon, that's what we have for dinner. If you choose to bag a d-day, don't get yourself killed. We still need you to help get back to Kalos." The ninetales went off to search for wood and found good wood quickly and lit a fire. "Alright guys! Enjoy the night. Fleur said as she went over to Keira to figure out what to do next.
The strange group of Pokémon began harvesting lumber and setting it ablaze. SCRAP has some data on this phenomenom: the flames would help regulate temperature to comfortable levels and improve quality of sleep and comfort. These Pokémon were all resting and would soon, in theory, fall asleep for the night. They were of no immediate threat unless they perceived SCRAP to be one. It would be best to not move toward them suddenly or arise suspicion.
Speaking of moving suddenly, there came some shuffling down the path that the other Pokémon were on. SCRAP floated over and saw something heading towards the group. It was a strange sort of creature: akin to some insect type Pokémon. This was the extent of his knowledge of the Pokémon. It appeared to have trouble approaching the others. If the other Pokémon regulated body temperature via fire, it would be logical that this little one out in the cold would appreciate assitance getting to the warmth. If it proved hostile, at least he would have sufficient time to slip away before alerting the others. He returned to his normal color and texture near the path the others walked.
"[Comforting] Do you require assistance reaching optimal environmental temperature?" SCRAP beeped to the creature hopping along in the snow.
It was getting close to nightfall. Mentally, Reiru cursed. This would mean she'd need to go on foot to make sure that she didn't overshoot the others. She dropped lower, until her feet crunched into the snow. The cold made her grimace. Although at least the snow wasn't as deep as it had been back in Unova, or worse, back in Sinnoh. For a moment, she considered cursing Arceus, but she knew by now that he didn't listen, to either curses or prayers.
Carefully, slowly, she walked, following the footprints she could see in the snow. It would start melting soon, spring being so close.
She moved forward with trepidation, knowing that she couldn't turn back, but uncertain if this other group would have her.
~~
When Keira and Fleur agreed to stop, Mikhial nodded in recognition, but continued to float himself above the ground. When Keira went to go get wood, Mikhial looked after her, thinking. She takes so much on herself. I wonder if she realises that we would give her... No. Of course she does. She just chooses to only accept help from Fleur. She's had to grow up so fast, in the middle of this whole thing. I hope... When this is over... She'll have a chance to be the child she is.
After Keira lit the fire, Mikhial floated over to the two females "I can take a watch if either of you want a full night's sleep." He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Keira with this statement. "Also, besides whatever had been following us from the air, there's something else. It feels small, and confused. It seems, from what I can feel of it, to be following in our tracks."
((Just clarifying, Mikhial can't sense dark types, or certain Pokemon (mostly the Porygon line, since they're basically living data, and don't have a 'mind'). Just making sure you guys know that I'm not ignoring SCRAP, it's just that Mikhial can't sense him.))
001 stopped in his tracks when he heard a voice. He looked for the owner of this voice, and found a strange pink... pokemon? The other pokemon were unfamiliar, but this was completely foreign to him. Just, something about those sharp angles that made up its body just seemed unnatural... And it was floating, which also seemed weird. But, though he couldn't understand what this thing said, it didn't seem hostile. Its voice was unlike anything he had heard before, but it sounded like it was using a kind tone.
He took a few cautious steps toward it and gave it a confused and curious look, tilting his head slightly to the side, then asked "[What was that? And who are you?]" The language he spoke in was one long forgotten, and he figured the strange pokemon would understand him as well as he understood it, which is to say not at all, but he thought it would be worth a try.
The wind blew, causing the little Anorith to shiver slightly. He didn't care much for the cold, and it had grown much colder as the sun set.
"[Informative] Initiating language detection routine." SCRAP clicked. Code written into him would allow him to translate a variety of languages, as well as understand them. Of course, the langauges he was able to speak and understand were limited to the handful of most commonly spoken tongues from his planet. There was a soft whirring noise as the Pokémon lowered it's head to begin analysis.
"[Error] Language not recognized. Using closest match." SCRAP's eyes flashed briefly before he spoke again. He understood the creature's words to be "Explain that. Who are you being?". Thankfully, the language seemed to be the basis of some modern langauges ((think Latin to French)). Conversation was possible, but would likely be slow. It didn't help that the Porygon was limited to direct translation.
"[Informative] Man is SCRAP, made from Mossdeep Sky Home. I labor to learn and explore other worlds." the Porygon beeped. "[Informative] Please detail request: explain 'that'."
He watched as the creature's eyes flashed and it made a few noises that didn't sound like language. Then, after a moment, it said something he sort of understood. The words weren't completely familiar, but 001 could understand the basis of what the pokemon, SCRAP, was saying. He spoke rather strangely though. He wanted 001 to explain what he meant by 'that'? The Anorith realized it would be better to speak as plainly as possible. "[Umm, I just meant 'what did you say?']"
 Keira and Fleur debated back and forth on who should get first watch, since Keira hadn't slept in about 40 hours, and it showed. It went something like this ((Keira in orange and Fleur in Blue, obviously))
"Come on! You need a break. You aren't arceus, you can't go on much longer like this." "I'm used to it, plus i'm going to get some sleep soon anyways, may as well take first watch." "Still, I know you don't trust us fully." "I never said that." "It's as clear as crystal." Keira rolls her eyes. "Ugh, fine. You're right, I don't trust the lot of ya. I still want first watch." "Nice to see you admit it, and no, you aren't on first watch." "I'll fight you for it." "Unwise, you're a fire type, i'm water." "Type doesn't matter, i'm bigger." "Size doesn't matter if you can't catch me." "One word, extrasensory." "I'm still not backing down." Both were normally relaxed, or in Keira's case, less nervous than Sixx. However, when they did argue with someone, they had a strong will. Seeing as they are both that way, they'd likely stay up all night before conceding. Then Mikhial came over and made his offer. They both at the same time yelled, "No!" Then Keira finally spoke again, "Fine.... guess it's the hard way." She had a glint in her violet eye and a few faint beams of red light shot out of the black tips of her nine tails.
 Fleur instantly knew that the ninetales was using hypnosis and darted out of the way. Keira kept firing off hypnosis after hypnosis at the buizel, trying not to hit anyone else. Finally, Fleur found a shiny rock and hurled it at one of the beams. The red beam bounced back and hit Keira square in the chest. She was out cold instantly. Fleur nervously laughed and then responded to Mikhial, "Sorry about that. I'll take first watch and wake you when it's your turn. She needed some sleep, but she won't admit it." The buizel then climbed a tree to get a better vantage point in case something were to attack. Keira, meanwhile, slept soundly about a meter (for you metric using people) from the fires.
((Alright OpalRhea. I was thinking Porygon would be tough to detect with psychic powers as those feed off mental energies. It'll make things interesting if our characters perceive the other as hostile. Doubt a Porygon would be much threat to an Alakazam, haha.))
"Request understood. [Comforting] Do you want to go to the fire?" the Porygon asked. "[Questioning] Are you slowed behind your allies?" he continued, turning to face the other Pokémon who were huddled around the campfire. The large Ninetails was asleep, but some of the others were awake and on look out. Perhaps this small insect creature was a friend that fell behind? SCRAP could get to the stones for analysis if they saw him as a nonthreat and if he explained his reason for analyzing the stones. Surely they would understand: it was flawless logic.
Sixx was already curling into a large furry ball as soon as the group stopped to the night. He watched as Keira went off to gather wood, and then continued to watch once she came back and bickered with Fleur about who had the first watch. He smirked a little as he watched the Ninetales be put to sleep by her own Hypnosis, and shook his head a little. "Amazing. That girl just doesn't go down without a fight no matter what, huh?" he mused to himself.
Suddenly, Patrick poked his head out of SIxx's massive back and head fluff, grinning. "OooooOOOOOO, SIXXY'S GOT A," he leaned in real close to his brother's ear, "Crrrrrushhhhhhhhh."
Sixx's eyes flew open wide as he whipped his head to the grinning, giggling Sylveon, "h-hey! You shut up, I...I do not!" he cried, swiping for him as Patrick ducked out of the fur and bounded away. Quickly Sixx looked around, praying non of his compatriots heard what had just been uttered. He settled back down, stealing another glimpse at Keira and scanning around the horizon. He licked his lips, mumbling to himself, "Keep it together man, keep it together..."
Patrick meanwhile continued to giggle as he fled his brother and peered out across the land around him. His feelers still writhed as if eager to give the nearest living creature a hug. He squinted, convinced something was out there. He hoped it wasn't anything nasty.
Allies? Well, they weren't really his allies, they probably didn't even know he existed. It just started to hit him that this was a horrible idea, chasing after a bunch of strangers like this. But it wasn't as horrible an idea as staying in that... whatever it was for the rest of his life, he thought. But, allies or not, he would surely freeze to death out here if he couldn't get to that fire, or any heat source for that matter, soon. He nodded in response to the first question, simply choosing not to answer the second since he wasn't sure how to answer it anyway.
The Porygon lowered itself to the cold snowy floor. The strange creature shouldn't have much trouble either climbing or jumping onto his back, though the metal box he had on him might make riding cumbersome. "[Instructing] I can take you there. Be peaceful unless they offense." he chimed.
Hopefully this strange creature was a good fighter in the off chance the others proved hostile. The fact that they sought shelter and had scouts was promising though: the Pokémon that attacked him on sight wouldn't respond to his vocalizations and favored collective thought tactics: attack without rest until either you or the target is taken down.
001 chirped happily, then climbed up onto the pink creatures back, though with a little difficulty. He was careful about using his claws to pull himself up and hold on, lest he accidentally cut the friendly creature. The Anorith held on to either side of the creature using the sides of his claws then, once settled, gave a "[Thank you.]"
 Fleur heard Patrick and Sixx as she sat down in the tree and chuckled at this. It was obvious that the only thing Sixx wasn't nervous about was her fiery friend. Just after that, the buizel thought that she heard some chirping of some kind, but thought that it was all in her head.
((I tried to use the colors people are using for their characters' dialogue to show who I'm referencing. Should help people notice when their character is mentioned.))
As SCRAP hovered towards the group, the individual members becoming more apparent. There was the Ninetails he saw that had encoutered the Lucario. She was laying down, whether due to being asleep or just tired. There was the one that looked better suited to the ocean; orangish this one. Acting as a guard most likely. Some others came into view too: near the Ninetails was a strange-looking Alakazam. He recognized this species having met one during his training. Near them was a mound of dark fur and some white and pink creature with several strands of cloth tied to its body.
Most jarring of all was the Charizard that came into view along the path some distance from the group. It must have approached while he was speaking with the insect creature that was on his back at present. The Charizard was battle worn, its body showed clear signs of healed injuries. There was also something blue on it, though it was difficult to tell what it was. It was heading towards the group, but did so slowly. It would not be wise to follow it should it be seeking to combat the others.
"[Alert] Engaging camoflauge." the Porygon chimed quietly. It silently dashed to some nearby trees, scanned them with Conversion, and changed it's outward appearence. When he was among the trees, he realized that the Anorith on his back couldn't change color like he could. He could cover it with his body as best he could. "[Alert] Unable to camoflauge passenger. Proceeding with caution." he chimed. "[Tense] Remain silent." he told the Pokémon on his back.
Nova was lying on the ground, facing the woods. She stared out at it blankly, waiting for the first symptoms of sleep to take her away. She could hear Kiera and Fleur get into a conflict, but she didn't quite care enough to turn her head around and take a look. Her muscles were sore, her brain was tired... she let out a deep sigh as she could feel her body begin to give itself to sleep. She could smell the fear and distrust of the group on Kiera, and Nova just couldn't understand it. Then again, by her knowledge, Kiera spent a smaller percentage of her life being alone, at least comparative to Nova. Nova may have been one of the newer members of the group, but even being among strangers was safer than sleeping in abandoned dens.
She began to close her eyes, when she saw a flash of blue and pink in the woods. Her eyes jolted back open. Just playing tricks on me, maybe... However, whether what she was was real or not didn't matter. Her sleep had been disturbed, and she had come to the sudden realization she had to relieve herself. "I'll be right back guys, I gotta water some plants..." She said quietly to the group, standing up and walking into the woods.
She took a quick look around, and couldn't find anything. Although she couldn't see anyone, she couldn't get the proper comfort level to relieve herself. She took a sniff of the air, and she could only smell what smelled like chemicals. Not too unlike the lab. Nova searched the woods a bit more. "Is anyone there?" Nova said, starting to pace towards where she believed the scent originated.
The Anorith was surprised by the no-longer-pink creatures change in colour, but realized now was not the best time to question it. He grew tense, he saw what they were hiding from, a huge, orange thing with wings and fire on its tail, and it was probably the scariest thing he had ever seen. He stayed quiet as instructed, hiding as well as he could. Soon, however, he heard a voice. He couldn't see anything from where he was, so he leaned to the side just enough to see who was there, then quickly leaned back in once he saw the blue creature with horns. Okay, nevermind, that was the scariest thing he had ever seen.
((For the record, my character's colors are the reverse of shiny Porygon's. So blue instead of white, white instead of blue.))
A dog-like Pokémon approached, sniffing the air. It must have detected the passenger SCRAP had with him. Whoever this dog was, it spoke and asked if someone was there. Were it just SCRAP, he could very likely pass by without detection as he didn't have much of a scent. But the new variable to account for, the Anorith, made the situation more dangerous. Ultimately, the law of self preservation meant he would abandon this creature in favor of his own escape should the situation grow dire.
This dog Pokémon looked like a shaved, shimmery blue Arcanine. It had small horns and a very dark motif. It would appear this was either a Fire type or a Dark type, perhaps even a Ghost type. This being considered, it would likely not attack with Fire and risk burning down the forest, thus attracting attention. Ghost type attacks would pass through harmlessly. Dark type attacks would deal a fair amount of damage. The possibilities were in his favor. What drew the most attention from SCRAP's analysis was the stone implanted in the creature's chest. It looked very strange; ideal for analysis. If he could run some tests on it, the scientists back at MSC would be thrilled. Maybe they'd respond to those messages.
"[Assertive] I do not mean harm."
((Alright, my bad!))
 Nova jumped at the robotic tone being said in her general direction. She tried to pinpoint exactly where it was coming from, but she couldn't really tell. However, when her eyes locked onto where it seemed to be coming from, she could see something shining in the dark. When her vision adjusted to the darkness, she could see what looked like a bug-type pokemon, not of any kind she had seen before, floating in the air. She could see what looked like sharp swords protruding from its side, but Nova couldn't identify exactly what it was. "I've never seen anything like you before. What are you, and are you coming here alone?" Nova's eyes squinted, wondering if this was something that was sent by Abraham. However, she wasn't about to throw out any accusations just yet.
((Oops, sorry ^^; ))
001 didn't know what this new pokemon was saying, he didn't even know if she was talking to him or SCRAP, but he figured he could assume both of them had been spotted. He hopped down back to the ground and looked up at the other pokemon. He didn't like the way she was looking at him, she looked like she was suspicious of him for something. He looked over to SCRAP, asking "[What did she say? And if she was talking to me and asked anything you can answer, could you answer her for me?]" He decided then that he would try to learn the language they were speaking, since having to ask for a translation for any conversation with someone other than SCRAP would get annoying. Assuming he got out of here alive, of course.
SCRAP thought for a moment. If this Pokémon asked if Anorith was alone, it would be best to not alert her by remaining hidden. The proverbial "show you're unarmed" gesture, except without arms. Before revealing himself, he spoke quietly to the creature that was once his passenger.
"[Explanation] She wishes for identity revelation and if it is only you." He turned back to Nova.
"[Alert] Disengaging camoflauge." he beeped. There was a soft crackling sound as the Porygon returned to its original colors and texture. He raised his head to respond to Nova's "whois" command. "[Informative] I am SCRAP, designed at Mossdeep Space Center. I have been programmed to research and explore other planets.". He reasoned that now would be the ideal "show your hands" moment. "[Assertive] There is no reason for hostility. I am assisting this creature in reaching comfortable environmental temperature. The fire you and your allies have would be ideal."
Sixx turned his head, interested as Nova went off to go take care of some personal business. He snorted, rolling over onto his other side, using his thick fur as a cushy pillow. He blinked up at the stars, tapping his claws on his belly. Hope we don't get ambushed tonight or anything... he thought. He shivered nervously; the very thought of being attacked while unprepared made him extremely uncomfortable. He cut his eyes over and could see Patrick loitering around on the edge of their allies' little camp, watching the horizon. Snuffing, the Zoroark settled down, content to watch the stars.
Patrick, meanwhile, was highly curious. Nova had gone off in the direction he could have SWORN he'd seen something moving around nearby earlier. Did she see something he'd missed? Now highly curious, the Sylveon looked back to make sure Sixx wasn't going to yell at him for wandering off, and quickly he scurried after Nova. Within a few minutes of searching, he spotted her, talking to... an odd boxy blue and white Pokemon? No, wait, it wasn't alone..there was something small on its back too. Patrick squinted his soft blue eyes, creeping closer. How peculiar! Are they mean or are they friends? he thought, his feelers wiggling rapidly.
Although Nova was startled by S.C.R.A.P disabling his camouflage, she made no hostile movements. When S.C.R.A.P tried to explain who he was, Nova almost made an attempt to appear to understand him. Alas, she knew very little about the more technologically advanced part of the world. She had never seen or heard of any pokemon that looked like eother of the two. Seventeen years old and still being surprised every day...
"That's fine by me. I'll lead you guys into the camp, then. I can't guarentee everyone there will welcome you with open arms, though," Nova said, turning around and heading back towards the group. "As for me, how I see it, anything that's still got a pulse is a friend. My name is Nova, by the way. You can wait on your formal introduction to me, I'm sure everyone here will be very... curious... about you two."
She reached the trees to enter the camp. She hoped everyone would take kindly to the newcomers behind her.
"[Concern] I do not have a pulse. I do not have the circulatory system required for one." SCRAP said.  Though the dog Pokémon wasn't attacking him, this conditional operator proved worrisome. At least he would be worried if he felt emotion. And since the dog would define "anything" as a "friend" if it satisfied the condition "have a pulse", it was only reasonable that this creature did not and would not consider SCRAP a friend. There was no issue with this though: SCRAP had seen some scientists who definitely did not define themselves as "friends" still work together towards a common goal. The Anorith that was with him likely had a pulse, since it did look cold, and if the dog and insect could be friends and the insect and himself were allies at some point then there was no logical reason for the dog to attack him.
Of course, these were all flesh and blood beings: devoid of the purely logical thought processes a Porygon (or really any Pokémon in the evolution line, except maybe PorygonZ) posessed. These small nuances and pitfalls were so cumbersome. It was incredible that living creatures have gone so long without annihilating the planet with their strange conditions for "friendship".
SCRAP scooped up the Anorith and followed behind Nova.
"[Explanation] Canine takes us to fire." he told the creature.
Perhaps those at the campfire would have different conditional operators to determine what variables could be defined as "friend". Maybe they would let him analyze their stones.
Nova had no idea what a "circulatory system" was, and she couldn't tell if she should be concerned about his lack of one. "Well... that doesn't matter. So long as you're not a slobbering doomsday pokemon," she told S.C.R.A.P, although she was more assuring herself she wasn't leading a threat into the camp.
She entered, and looked around at the Pokemon that were huddled about the fire. "Hey, I found these guys in the woods. They don't seem to be Doomsday. I think they should join us, at least for the night."
The Anorith was startled when SCRAP suddenly picked him back up, but quickly calmed down and held on to keep from falling. So the 'canine', as SCRAP called her, seemed friendly, so that was promising. Hopefully the others would be friendly as well.
When they arrived back at the camp, he hopped down off of SCRAP again, but was hesitant to go any closer until he was sure the other pokemon were okay with him being there. He took a look around at the group. He didn't get a very good look at them earlier, but they looked even more impressive up close. He hadn't seen anything like any of them before, he wondered if they had seen anything like him before. This place didn't seem to be anywhere close to the coast, so there probably weren't a lot of other Anoriths around here, he, of course, had no idea his species was extinct, he wasn't even sure what time period he was in. Though, one thing that worried him was the possibility of getting stepped on by these pokemon who were much bigger than him.
Fleur sat in the tree, almost bored because nothing was really happening. She thought that she saw some dragonlike beast nearby, but the buizel played it off like it was nothing. In reality, what would attack at this hour? Fleur shuddered at the thought and went back to watch. Nova came back with a.... well, Fleur wasn't sure what that was to be honest. Same with the insectlike thing that also came. They seemed to be fine from afar. The buizel didn't say anything and stayed in the tree, because she knew that something was bound to happen soon.
Patrick grinned and perked up as he saw Nova heading back to the camp with the two new Pokemon. From what he could tell, the other Pokemon seemed to be some kind of lost travelers maybe? They certainly didn't see mean. Quickly he turned and ran back to camp, eager to say hello.
Sixx, meanwhile, looked up as Nova came back and explained she'd found a pair of odd Pokemon in the woods. He eyed the small insect-like Pokemon and the boxy, almost mechanical looking one with curious eyes. Finally, he pushed himself up and cautiously came over. He looked down at the small insect Pokemon, then the boxy one, and bobbed his head. "Yeah, they look fine. You two lost or something?" He scratched his furry belly and yawned a little, "My name's Sixx. My brother is...um. Somewhere. Around."
Patrick suddenly leaped out of the darkness, landing in a neat sitting position and smiling warmly at the new visitors. Sixx yelped, stepped back a bit. "Hello!!" The Sylveon greeted. He then quickly turned his attention to the small bug-like Pokemon on the ground, fascinated, "Ohhh my gosh, and look at you! You're so small! Hi! I'm Patrick!" His feelers curled wildly, as if overeager to wrap around the potential new friends.
Nova provided another condition for friendship: that the Pokémon not be defined as a "slobbering doomsday" Pokémon. Whatever that was, SCRAP was about 80% certain he wouldn't be defined as that. The party arrived at the campfire and were promptly greeted by a very dark looking Pokémon. This one also looked like a dog. It asked if he or the Anorith were lost.
"[Informative] I am not from here. I came here to explore this world for those that created me." the Porygon explained. "[Explanation] This small creature was following your tracks. It has not attacked. It is logical that it sought an environment of optimal temperature. The fire provides that." The strange pink and white creature leapt out and ran to greet the Anorith. SCRAP looked to it, then back to the black and red dog.
"[Confused] Initial appearences suggest you do not share genetics." SCRAP told Sixx.
Fleur remains in the tree, studying the guests. They seemed fine. Although the doomsday pokemon had became smarter, they weren't that smart yet. The buizel jumped down and into a snow bank, shook off the snow and walked over. "Well then, seems like they haven't turned yet. If no one objects, they can join. If they don't try to kill us during the night because they are doomsday." she said, studying the two. One was vaguely robotic and the other was a pokemon from.... well, she didn't know.
The buizel winced and one of her paw ((flippers?)) instinctively went to her other arm. The bitten arm. Somehow she hadn't turned, and she thought that this would be a key for producing the cure later. No one knew yet, as they hadn't read the paper that came with it. Fleur shook off the wave of pain and went back to the tree she was in, waiting for something to happen.
The Anorith jumped back a bit when the the pink and white pokemon jumped out from seemingly no where. He drew his claws in defensively when it the pokemon directed his attention toward him. Once he realized the other was just excited, not hostile, he relaxed. Well, no one's attacked yet and everyone seemed friendly enough, things were going well, he thought. He was starting to pick up on a few words and phrases, the word that seemed to come up the most was 'doomsday'. He had no idea what it meant, but it was said with a negative tone so it was probably something bad, and considering how often is was said it was probably important. He decided he would ask about it later when he could figure out how.
Sixx's less battered ear twitched up as he listed to the boxy Pokemon speak. He almost scoffed a laugh, amused by its robotic tone and odd accent. He followed the gist of what it was saying though. "Ah, got it."  He glanced over, noting Patrick was too preoccupied with the other, bug-like Pokemon to answer the robot-like one's statement about genetics. "And...ah, we're not really. blood relatives. He was adopted." Sixx shrugged, "We're close as blood though, that's what matters to me."
He looked down at the small bug-like Pokemon and tilted his head, "What exactly are you, anyway? never seen a Pokemon like you before. So...small, dang." The Zoroark stepped back a bit, claws crunching in the snow. Already he was nervous about accidentally crushing the tiny Pokemon.
"I don't think he can talk Sixxy!" Patrick said to his brother, "Or, he's just rrrreally quiet-oh!" he stepped back a bit, cautious as the small bug drew his claws. After a moment, though, Patrick saw the other Pokemon relax, and he smiled once again. "Yeah, hi there! I'm a friend, I promise." The Sylveon lied down on the cold ground to be more at the fossil Pokemon's line of sight. Cautiously, he let one of his felers curl over and gently touch the small Pokemon right between the eyes. "Boop!" Patrick giggled.
He chirped at the other pokemon's touch, almost sounding like he was laughing. It sounded like the the the darker pokemon was asking him something. Perhaps it would be a good idea to let them know that he didn't know their language. "[I'm sorry, I don't understand,]" he said. Maybe they would understand him like SCRAP did. If not, he would have to ask SCRAP to translate for him. He didn't want to rely on SCRAP translating for him, but for now it was more important to get to know these guys. He looked over to the blue and white pokemon, "[SCRAP, could you help me out here?]" he ask, then remembering he should probably be a little more specific. "[Could you translate for me?]" he added.
"[Confusion] Please define the phrase 'close as blood'. Being living creatures, you are always close to blood." SCRAP buzzed to Sixx. The Anorith was interacting with the pink and white Pokémon when it asked SCRAP to assist in translation.
"Understood." SCRAP spoke to the Anorith.
The Porygon turned to face the darker Pokémon. "[Explanation] This creature does not speak the language we do. It speaks–" there was a soft crackle of electricity and SCRAP's eyes flashed. "UNDEFINED VARIABLE ERROR. I have not identified the creature's species. A Pokédex installment would be required for species identification."
Sixx blinked at the other Pokemon's confusion. He wasn't very used to speaking with others who had such a literal understanding of things. After a minute of pondering his reply, he spoke again. "Okay, so um, basically. Even though he," He pointed at Patrick, "Isn't...like, my real brother, we've been together all our lives, so we have a super tight bond and we treat each other like we're really related. Does...does that make sense?" he squinted an eye, unsure if he was being concise enough.
The boxy Pokemon was then describing the other, smaller Pokemon, explaining that it couldn't speak their language. However, it then suddenly crackled and flashed, and Sixx jumped back a bit, lightly startled. He continued to listen, though, and he seemed to get the point. "Okay...so we don't really know what you are, huh?" he mused, looking down at the small Pokemon Patrick appeared fascinated with. Sixx clicked his tongue, looking back at the Pokemon who spoke so oddly, "And....um, what kind of Pokemon are you, exactly? You're....different looking." To be perfectly honest, he'd never seen a Pokemon with so many flat planes before.
Patrick grinned as the small Pokemon made a cute chirping noise noise. "Aw, well that's okay! Even though we don't speak the same language we can still be friends! Smiles are and kindness are universal," he said, his cheesy sentiment earning a quiet scoff from Sixx. Ignoring him, Partick leaned over to rummage through his leather satchel, plucking a small oran berry from inside. He leaned and placed it down before the insecty Pokemon, and tilted his head curiously. "Hungry?" He knew he probably wouldn't understand, but he hoped his body language would help.
"[Consideration] You have defined him as 'brother' due to a 'bond'. I am unfamiliar with a 'bond', but I recognize it to be a state of relationship formed by living creatures designed to be mutually beneficial." SCRAP responded. The shadowy Pokémon seemed to have trouble explaining the concept. Strange how something so complex as a 'bond' was a condition to call a species not your own a 'brother' when the word already has the condition of shared parents. Another oddity of living creatures.
Sixx asked him what species he was.
"[Informative] I am a Porygon. I was designed on a different planet from this one." SCRAP told Sixx. Of course, the Porygon didn't realize that he was back on the planet he was designed on. His programming told him he was still on the planet he was sent to explore. He didn't tell the dark Pokémon where he was designed because the name wouldn't hold significance. At least, that's what the computer Pokémon thought.
While explaining things to the others, SCRAP suddenly freaked out mid-explanation, so 001 wasn't sure how much was actually explained. "[Umm... you... you alright?]" the Anorith asked, but within a moment the other pokemon calmed down and was back to talking with the big, dark pokemon. "[Oh, alright, nevermind.]" He turned his attention back to the other pokemon, who started talking to him again. He was quickly growing to like this pokemon, and- Oh, it was offering a berry. The Anorith suddenly realized he hadn't eaten in... however long it's been since the day the lab was abandoned, and yet, he wasn't very hungry... weird. He decided to ignore that for now and instead eat the berry, which he did."[thank you!]" he said with a chirp.
As Fleur stood sentry in the tree, Keira's mind was coming out of deep sleep, but she kept her eyes closed. She had seen things from the past, things she couldn't remember in her waking moments. The ninetales remembered her parents from when she was young, and Ryu, back when he wasn't the biggest overconfident jerk (in her eyes) this side of the world. Keira and those pokemon had good times that she couldn't remember. Her anger pushed them back and left her with one goal in mind. Thinking about all of this always gave her a headache, so she didn't dwell on it too much.
Keira's eyes opened slightly to see an insectlike pokemon, and what looked like a robot. She closed her eyes again, this time faster than when she had opened them. Am I really that sleep deprived? The ninetales started realizing how tired she really was, since she wasn't going off of pure adrenaline. Woah, that hit fast and hard. Maybe they were right about this. I'll just take tonight off, bar the end of the world, or a d-day attack, and maybe things will be better in the morning. Doubt it. The world will still be a living hell, but even less so. Her mind slipped back into a dream as she went back to sleep.
SCRAP looked over as Patrick gave the insect Pokémon a berry. This was, as he understood, standard practice among living creatures to establish familiarity and solidarity: the sharing of a meal was a ritual deeply connected to friendship and "breeding" practices. The berry Patrick gave the Anorith looked very similar to some of the small bluish things he had gathered in his search.
"[Kindly] If you require sustinence, I have gathered organic material that appears to provide the biological matter necessary for survival." SCRAP chimed. He made a few clicking noises and the metal box on his back phased in front of him ((the whole 'convert to data' thing)). He pressed his nose to the box to open it, revealing a handful of Oran berries and the stones he had gathered.
"[Kindly] I was not designed for offense. If you provide protection while I continue my mission, I will assist how I can." SCRAP chimed. He reached into his box and held up two Oran berries. "[Explanation] I do not require biological material for energy."
"Pory...gon? Mmm, alright. Good to know," Sixx nodded, focusing more on the second part of what SCRAP had chimed. From another planet, he said? Wouldn't that make him an alien of some kind? The Zoroark had thought the only out of this world Pokemon were those pink star shaped things. Clefairy and all them. Guess you learn something new every day, he thought, and snuffed a little.
Patrick grinned as the little insect accepted the berry. "Yeah, there you go!" he yipped, patting the Anorith with one of his feelers again. His ears then twitched as SCRAP explained he too had berries on his person. The Sylveon watched in amazement as the Porygon claimed he didn't need food or such biological necessities to survive. He quickly turned to Sixx and waggled his feelers, "Sixx! Can you turn into this guy? He's so cool! Like a robot! An alien robot!"
Sixx blinked and glanced at his brother, before looking back at SCRAP. "Hm." It was a good question; he'd created illusions of more mechanical objects before, but to him this was a creature somewhere between living and mechanical, a different being, to say the least. "Lemme try."
Suddenly, the Zoroark's body and the air around him rippled as he focused his mind. His appearance faded from doglike to box like, and after a few moments he sighed out, looking less like how he did normally and more like SCRAP the Porygon floating in midair, save for the fact his eyes were still a pale teal in shade. Patrick's eyes bugged as he watched his brother put up a convincing illusion. "Woowww!" he turned to the real SCRAP and the little bug,"My brother can turn into anything he wants to, you see. It's a real neat trick!"
"Okay, technically I didn't 'turn into anything'," Sixx huffed, still in his guise, "I just put up an illusion...messed with the air and crap like that. I don't know. I just do it."
He was surprised when SCRAP opened the box he had and revealed more berries. He really wasn't feeling that hungry, so she decided to wait to see what the others would do. What the others, or at least the taller one, did do was very surprising, he... turned into SCRAP? The Anorith was confused. Was this an ability he had? How did he get so much smaller? The Anorith didn't understand that it was an illusion. He heard from an old friend, who had evolved into an Armaldo and explored more of the world than he ever did, that there were some pokemon who could transform into other kinds of pokemon. Was this one of them? He cautiously approached the other SCRAP, looked up at it curiously, then hesitantly poked it with his claw.
Fleur could not shake off the feeling that something was nearby. Something that shouldn't be. Suddenly a voice rang out in her mind, Keira's ((basically a mind chat between the two. Made possible by extrasensory. Refer to the first rp to see an example)). Let me guess, you think is something out there and you aren't sure of it. Fleur whispered a curse under her breath. That's what I thought. Oi, hush you and go back to sleep. I....I can't. Same as me? When'd you learn a psychic type move? It's obvious. I just have this feeling.... Just be ready.
With that, the connection was cut off. Fleur started thinking and went further up into the tree, and she seemed to blend in to it well enough. The buizel used the cold air around her and easily charged an ice punch, ready to fire in case of an emergency.
"[Confusion] Analyzing…" the Porygon beeped. He remained motionless for a moment before his eyes flickered. He didn't seem to fully understand the concept that this creature was merely putting on an illusion.
"[Despodent] I have been unable to contact home. Is there interference in this location that would cause a disruption in the progegation of signal?" SCRAP buzzed. Perhaps this interference would explain why Mossdeep had yet to contact him? It was a hypothesis only though. He had equipment to analyze atmospheric conditions, but the analysis wasn't as complex as his equipment to scan the ground for interesting finds.
 Nova looked warily at Sixx's display. Although she of course never felt threatened by him, his strange abilities couldn't help but make her feel rather uncomfortable. She was reminded of a story that her mother had told her, that if she left the camp without an adult, and managed to get lost, devils in the shadows would imitate a familiar face and take her away. She was convinced Sixx's species was the basis of that story.
 She was interrupted from her train of thought by hearing the new Porygon, SCRAP, beep out that he was analyzing. His question was difficult for her to understand, due to all of the words she couldn't find meaning in. However, she felt like she had a grasp on what was trying to be expressed. "Unless your kind are immune to the Doomsday virus, I'm sorry to say it, but I think they've all been killed, or turned," she sighed, shaking her head. He must be in denial, poor guy. "Or, maybe, they're alive, but civilization as we all know it has kind of fallen apart over the past ten years...."
Sixx continued to float in his SCRAP-guise for a few moments. Internally he was pretty proud of himself; he wasn't too good at imitating man-made and inorganic looking objects yet, so this was a good skill to develop. Then, suddenly, the little bug Pokemon skittered close, looking almost a bit...nervous? With a claw, it reached out and poked Sixx's illusion, pressing right through it and prodding Sixx in the side. The Zoroark made a quiet yelp of surprise as the SCRAP illusion flicked and shattered. He slumped over and breathed hard, looking over at the little bug. "Heh. Only works until someone messes with."
He then looked over as the real SCRAP explained his difficulties in contacting home. His ear twitched and he glanced at Nova as she told the Porygon that there was a pretty big chance his kind were dead and gone. "Yeah," he added, looking back at the boxy blue Pokemon, "I mean, I don't know if there's any... interference in this area, but there's a huge chance whoever you're looking for is dead." He blinked, "I guess death is a pretty big interference."
Patrick, meanwhile, went back to curiously examining the little Anorith. It was kind of like a fish, but definitely more like a bug. very odd, but very neat. He was glad the little guy had found its way to their camp, surely a much bigger Doomsday Pokemon would have eaten it by now otherwise!
Two of the Pokémon, the one who made himself appear as a Porygon and the bluish dog, presented theories as to why SCRAP had been unable to contact the Mossdeep Space Center. These theories had, as far as SCRAP knew, a fatal flaw.
"[Rebuttal] Presented theories are illogical. I am from a different planet. A virus would not be able to withstand the vacuum of space." he beeped. There was a slight clicking noise before the Porygon spoke again. "[Statement] As of yet, there is no reason why I cannot contact those at the Mossdeep Space Center. I cannot return to my planet either due to the method of travel being offline. Until they respond, I am to resume my programming and continue analysis of stone and mineral material I find to acertain if this planet would be ideal for exploration by my planet's lifeforms." SCRAP looked around at the others. Many looked tired and were already falling asleep in front of the warm fire. If these were to be his allies, it would be best to work with them.
"[Statement] I do not require as much rest as you organic beings. I can assist in maintaining a 'watch' tonight. It would allow me to contact my creators and update them on my progress. [Addendum] Unfortunately, I am not built for combat. The chances of the group surviving a large attack is inversely proportional to the number of attackers. [Reassurance] I will be sure to sound an alarm should such a scenario occur."
The illusion shattered and the Anorith jumped back in surprise, making a distressed 'skree' noise. He frantically looked around, distrot. He calmed down after a moment, when Sixx said something to him. He looked up at the larger pokemon apologetically. The other pokemon started talking to SCRAP, so the Anorith decided return to his initial spot. Once there, he started to fall asleep, but he kept himself awake. It had been a long, eventful day, and he was getting very tired, but he didn't want to go while things were still happening, so he forced himself to stay awake.
((Ok, this post will include some minor control over Reiru, Opal's Charizard. I have asked her and it's cool. Let's get this plot going a bit more))
Fleur was just barely staying awake, her orange ((gonna go with....)) fur and the skin beneath it had long since grown numb from the cold. It had started to snow again, but it was light. This snow was barely worthy of being called a flurry. The winds, however, had picked up in the trees, blowing around what had already come down from before that night. These winds were not able to touch the clearing, and the buizel looked on in envy at her comrades as they enjoyed themselves with Sixx's illusion. She knew someone had to, and it was her responsibility to do this for everyone.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, a silhouette of a pokemon started to move. Fleur was trying to decide on what it was. It's.... it's big. It has wings and claws. It's almost dragonesque. Wait, it is a dragon! She looked closer. It's a charizard! The charizard started to switch directions, it was heading towards the clearing where everyone made camp. It was going to kill them all. The dragon was mumbling something under it's breath, Fleur could only recognize one word of it.
Keira.
That son of a lost lillipup is going to go after Keira! I will not stand for this. ((Excuse my horrible excuse for an insult)) The feeling in her body returned rapidly. Everything was to her advantage, the blowing snow would likely slow the fire/flying type and obscure sight at the same time. Plus, she was in a tree up high, the dragon likely couldn't see her because it was focused on trying to see more than 3 feet in front of it. Fleur knew she only had one shot, if she missed, she could very likely die, either from the fall or from the dragon's rampage after that. The buizel prepared to leap off the branch and muttered under her breath, after a quick prayer to arceus, "This could well be my last hour. Let's make it count. Let's go." Fleur sprung from the tree, the fist with the stored ice punch leading and becoming encased with ice. She landed dead center into the back of the charizard, the ice punch hitting the left wing. The dragon toppled and landed face first into the snow, not from the hurt, but from the surprise of the hit. That'll do. Fleur rolled off and yelped as she landed on a leg. The shock from the impact obviously made her leg sore, but if it was broken, big problems. That was a given. Please don't let it be broken. thought the buizel as she lay in the snow, face down like the charizard.
Sixx squinted a little at the Porygon as he explained that, since he was from another planet, obviously death wasn't the reason he was able to find what he was looking for. "Well, okay, whatever you say, man," he replied quietly, reaching to comb his claws through his thick head fur. His ear twitched as the boxy Pokemon continued, saying it was easy for him to maintain a watch due to his inorganic nature. The Zoroark smiled a little, "Huh. Well ,I guess that's pretty helpful. We could totally use some extra eyes to watch for things."
Patrick, meanwhile, continued watching the little bug Pokemon, seeing how tired the little guy looked. He giggled and patted him with one of his ribbons. "Don't worry buddy, we're all sleepy!" he giggled. Suddenly, the Sylveon's large ears pricked up, and he poked up his head. He could have sworn he heard something large hit the ground just outside the reaches of their camp. He blinked, and called to Sixx, "Hey, Sixxy is something out there? I heard a thing."
Sixx glanced a his brother, then peered out into the snowy expanse ahead of camp. His eyes widened for a moment. Something was out there in light snow, something large, lying almost like it had crash-landed. But it didn't look completely down for the count. There was also something smaller near the large body, something...orange? Sixx snuffed. Is that Fleur? His natural instincts kicked in, fur bristling and a growl escaping his lips. That big thing could very well be an attacker, a huge one at that, and here they were just out in the open ready to be slaughtered. He turned to the others in the group and licked his lips. "Something...something big's out there. I'm waking Keira up. I'd...stay on the alert if I were you."
The Zoroark then quickly darted across the camp, to where Keira lay, still sleeping gently. Sixx hopped from foot to foot, feeling his nervousness settling in as he looked down at her. He shook his head a few times, trying to shake off his anxiety, before reaching down and shaking the Ninetales a little. "Keira? Keira!" he rasped at her, "Wake up! Something's out there and I...I think Fleur might be hurt? Hhhh, come on, wakey wakey...."
((sorry for delays))
When Fleur told him what the situation with the watch was, Mikhial nodded in affirmation, before settling into meditation. If someone touched him, it would rouse him, but for now, he was drifting through his expansive memory, seeking a better time, a safer place. His 'psi-bubble' grew smaller and smaller, until it only just surrounded him. He floated easily off of the ground, still within easy reach if one of his teammates needed to wake him quickly, or for that matter, when Fleur would wake him for the watch.
~~
Reiru waited to attempt to approach Keira's group until it was dark, and almost regretted it. The temperature dropped, worse than even Sinnoh. Her meagre sense of self preservation had her pressed into the opening of a hollow tree, her tail held in numb claws, keeping the flame close to her chest. She'd somehow managed to doze. Not for long, and she could only hope that the other group were still awake, because she knew that if they weren't, and the scout woke them, they would assume she was there for a fight. Actually, they'd probably assume that anyway. For a moment, she wondered if this was really a good idea. What have you got behind you? That Blaziken threw you out, told you not to come back. Her mental voice (was it even hers?), sounded bitter, spiteful, full of hate. Reiru could never imagine having sounded like that. You're useless. You fail everyone. You should just turn around now and beg forgiveness from that chicken, and hope she kills you fast. Useless, waste of space. Run back to your safety. Pathetic. Without realising it, Reiru had started walking, back to where she had come from. Then... She heard something. It sounded like conversation, although she couldn't make out the words. Forcing herself to change direction, she hoped that this was the group she wanted, not a group of intelligent doomsday Pokemon.
Without realising it, she was speaking out loud. "Have to help her. Make it up to her. Can't go back. Got to help Keira this time."
Then, as snow blurred her vision, and the howling wind obscured her hearing, something cold exploded against her side hide, and Reiru went sprawling. Her face was flat in the snow, and she heard that cruel voice start up again. Just stay there. You're no good to anyone. You'd be better off dead. Just stay there and freeze to death. It's more than you deserve.
A loud noise startled the sleepy Anorith, grabbing his attention. The pokemon with dark fur ran across camp to wake some others up, but the Anorith wanted to know what had happened to cause such alarm. He looked in the direction the other had looked, but couldn't see anything thanks to the snow and his lack of height. He scurried a little closer to where the sound came from to get a better view. Though his view was still obscured by the blowing snow outside the camp, he could still see a large, orange pokemon of some sort. Whatever it was, it didn't look like it was going to be moving much, so he decided to investigate a little further. As he moved closer, he started to see what it was; the pokemon he saw when he and SCRAP were hiding. He also saw something else, another pokemon, also orange; it was the pokemon he saw when he arrived at the camp. They were both face down in the snow, both looked hurt.
He ran to the pair, not having any idea what to do once he got there. Were they even awake? He couldn't tell. He chirped, worried, and nudged them both to see if they were awake. He stepped back waiting for a response from either of them. He then realized that he may have made a huge mistake in trying to wake them up, specifically the larger one, since it might wake up and try to attack the others. He mentally scolded himself for acting without thinking, again. For a moment he considered running back to the camp, but what if they were friendly, after all he met several pokemon who looked scary but were friendly, why would this one be any different? Or, what if they woke up while his back was turned and caught him off guard? No, it seemed like the best option now was to wait and see what happened, and prepare to use Protect, just in case.
Keira jolted awake at Sixx's voice, "Can't it wait until mor-" she heard the rest and her eyes widened, her violet eye grew a more vivid shade of purple. "Guess not." the ninetales stood up and went into the woods where pokemon started to gather, a strange insectlike pokemon was already on the scene. Fleur was face down in the snow along with a charizard that looked vaguely familiar. She backed into the trees right behind Fleur and tapped her with a paw.
Fleur felt the touch of her friend and started to lift herself up into a sitting position, but winced when her leg hit the ground. Keira knew instantly that this could be serious. The ninetales quickly looked it over. "You got very lucky this time." she whispered. "It's only a bit bruised." Keira reaches into the bag and pulls out a few oran berries. "Take two and call me in the morning." she said, winking. Fleur chuckled a little bit at this, ate the berries and then stood up, the leg feeling good enough to stand. "Take it easy for a day or two." said Keira. Fleur then responded, "Well, it's not like I jump out of trees and onto charizards on a nightly basis." Keira squinted and then came out of the trees. "You know... it's... it's very weird, it's almost like I know this chari-." She looked closer and recognized their attacker.
Reiru.
Her expression changed, not because of anger, but because of sorrow. Keira started whispering, "No-no... not again." she turned and ran off into the woods quickly. The ninetales was obviously close to tears. Fleur was curious now and then spoke to the charizard, "Ok, I don't think we know who, or specifically what, you are, and possibly the most important, what do you want with Keira. Could you please tell us, it's too late at night to watch someone freeze to death, and i'm not letting you die before I know this after I almost committed suicide to flag you down. So you may as well just speak now. If you aren't doomsday, then we'll go from there." The buizel was shifting her weight on the injured leg.
The others were drawn to something happening nearby. The dark dog-like Pokémon ran to awaken the others to some event. The small insect Pokémon ran off to investigate what appeared to be a large dragon. There was movement and an orangish blur, then the large Pokémon lay on the floor beside something else. The ninetails went to see what was happening, only to dash off into the forest. SCRAP took some time to consider these events before proceeding.
The alarm was already raised, so there was no need to repeat this. The intruder looked to be dealt with, but that was mere hypothesis. The reason for the ninetails' running off was strange, but the data Pokémon attributed this to biological beings acting on a mix of emotion and logic, rather than his pure logic. At any rate, whatever was happening appeared to be taken care of, given the Pokémon already responding to the situation. It was most logical to remain at the camp and ensure they were not ambushed in their panicked state.
SCRAP floated closer to the fire and turned his back on it. He lowered his hover height so he was only a few centimeters off the ground. He looked straight ahead.
"Entering Defense Mode." he chimed. His eyes flashed once. He looked towards where the others were and began a visual sweep. He stood guard as he suggested he could do.
((Might as well explain Keira's erratic behavior while I have some time, and Opal is pretty much ok with me doing the same thing, although we may have something planned.))
Keira ran, and kept running. She never wanted to see Reiru again, after the last time. A scene came back to her mind....
Keira was a vulpix, she had just made it near the base after the attack that involved her. Her frail body collapsed. Innis, an azumarril found and rescued her, and then Reiru is later seen watching over her as she recovers. Time goes by, Keira had started to mentally age a lot faster. She had many chances to repay Reiru for saving her life, but she failed every time. Keira had failed at pretty much everything she had tried to do. The biggest, saving Innis. Ever since then, the ninetales could barely even look at Reiru because she was so ashamed.
It's your fault you know. It's your fault that you feel this way about her. You let Innis die and you had a chance to save him, but you didn't. You ran from him. You are a coward, a low-life who only cares about herself! That's right, keep running.... A voice rang out in her mind, but Keira instantly knew that these weren't her thoughts, but she didn't care. They were true, Reiru had basically saved her life and Keira had let her down time and time again. The ninetales practically watched Innis die and did nothing to stop it. She stopped to catch her breath, tears running down her face, from the thoughts, the flashback, and the cold. Everything was coming to face her at once, and she had nowhere to go and no solution. This new voice was right, she was a failure. The ninetales just stood there, silently crying.
The small insect pokemon looked around, trying to figure out what was going on. Who was this large, winged pokemon? Was she friendly? Why the the nine-tailed pokemon run off? He eventually gave up, realizing he wasn't going to figure it out on his own. He also realized he was most likely useless here, so he thought maybe it'd be better if he went back to camp. When he got there, he noticed SCRAP by the fire, it looked like he was standing guard. The Anorith moved in by the fire and started to settle down.
"[Hey, SCRAP, any idea what's going on over there?]" he asked, pointing to where the others were with a claw, "[it seemed kind of strange for the...]" he paused for a moment, trying to think of what to call her, before giving up and simply referring to her by what he had been calling her in his head, "[the pokemon with nine tails to run off like that.]" The Anorith was getting annoyed with not knowing what to call anyone. Now seemed like a good time to ask. "[Umm, what should I call everyone? Do you know their names? I've never seen any pokemon like anyone here so I don't even know what their species are.]"
SCRAP heard the Anorith's questions. There was a soft whirring noise ((like when your computer fan speeds up for a bit)) as he loaded up his translation software. These questions were all reasonable to ask given that the creature didn't understand what anyone was saying. Or of it did understand, it wasn't much.
Still scanning the area, the Porygon answered the ancient Pokémon's inquiries in the order they were asked.
"[Response] No." he started.
"[Response] Dark canine is Sixx. Species not seen. Rose one with cloth lengths is Patrick. Species not seen. Creature with nine tails is Ninetails." the Porgon continued. Under his breath (in a manner of speaking) he muttered "[Sarcasm] Truly a creative species name."
"[Statement] Other species not seen. Extra work needed for finding it."
So now he knew two names and a species name. Well, it was a start. He committed those names to memory, then thanked SCRAP. He wanted to go to sleep, but he couldn't quite settle down until he was sure the newer pokemon was peaceful and wasn't going to try to eat him or something.
"[By the way, SCRAP, I don't think you ever told me what you were, I mean, what your species is called.]" the Anorith noted, hoping conversation would help keep him awake. Suddenly, in the edge of his field of vision, opposite to where the others were, he saw something move. "Huh?" he exclaimed. But when he turned to see what it was, he saw nothing. He chose to ignore it. It was probably nothing, he thought.
((Thought I'd bring in the possibility of a doomsday pokemon attack, to get things moving a bit more and give the rest of us something to do in the meantime. Is that okay? I left it vague enough that you can just ignore it if you want.))
((As I told you before, i'm cool with that, anything to make sure everyone is active and enjoying it))
Fleur waits for a response from the strange charizard. A long, awkward silence floats over everyone in the clearing. The buizel sighs, "Perhaps I was all over the map, allow me to try again." she says, "I'll start simple, what is your name? Answering that one is optional, but this next one must be answered, are you infected? We need to know that. If you aren't, give us a sign." Fleur stops there and waits for some sort of answer from the charizard.
Before the Anorith could turn back around, he saw something move again. This time he saw it clearly, he knew something was there. "[Wait, I think something's out there,]" he told SCRAP before scurrying off toward it. But before he could get too close, it jumped out of the shadows and rushed toward the little bug at incredible speed. The Anorith let out a loud screech in surprise and used Protect just before the attacker brought a huge, scythe-like claw down on him. The attack bounced off the barrier, causing the pokemon to bounce back a bit. The barrier dissipated, but before the pokemon could attack again, the Anorith used Water Gun and sprayed water directly in its face. It didn't do much damage, but it did distract it long enough for him to retreat and recompose himself.
The intruding pokemon was insect-like, like the Anorith, and it had two arms that were pretty much just huge claws, also like the Anorith. But that's where the similarities ended. It was green, bi-petal, and had a pair of wings. The smaller insect prepared for the next attack, which didn't take long. He used Protect again, but to his surprise, no attack reflected off the barrier. The other pokemon was waiting for the barrier to lift before attacking. The Anorith realized this when the other attacked. He tried to get out of the way, but the scythe cut a slit halfway through  his left, back wing. Pain surged through his tiny body, but he ignored it in the heat of the moment. He jumped up and used his claws to latch onto the abdomen of the larger insect, then used Metal Claw and slashed into its exoskeleton as he let go and fell into the snow, leaving two large cuts and doing much more damage than he expected to do. Apparently this pokemon was a lot weaker than it looked, as this was enough to bring it down, or at least severely weaken it.
He began to relax, as a flood of questions began to run through his mind. But he didn't get to think about it for long, because he then noticed another figure lurking in the shadows beyond the camp. Actually, maybe a few more? It was hard to tell. He froze as a large, brown, three headed creature emerged from the darkness. Two of the heads stared him down, while the third looked elsewhere, like it was looking for other pokemon. He was terrified, especially since there may be more around. However many more were there, their was no way he was going to be able to fight them off too.
Sixx fidgeted as he watched Keira arise and take off towards the intruder and Fleur. He fidgeted even more as his keen eyes watched the Ninetales make it to the fallen Pokemon, but then for some reason appear to panic and take off into the woods. his ears jerked up in surprise. "Oh no." he ran back  to the edge of the camp where the others were, licking his lips. He was happy to see the boxy Pokemon had taken to guarding the area in its own way, but his nerves were still heightened. Something was up.
Patrick kept an eye on the Anorith as the little bug tried to investigate the fallen Pokemon outside of camp. The Sylveon padded forward, swiveling his ears and watching carefully. Suddenly, he noted the little bug tear off into the night, seemingly enticed by something.
"Oh?" he trotted out a little more, concerned about the small Pokemon. Suddenly, his blue eyes widened as he saw something large and green tear out of the shadows and attack his new friend. Patrick gasped, ribbons curling wildly. "Sixx!!" he called at his brother, before shooting off into the dark. Thankfully a few moments later it appeared the Anorith managed to down whatever had attacked him, but Patrick hurried forward anyway. He came up behind his little friend, panting, "Oh my goodness, are you alright? Are you hur- oh. Oh my." He looked up, spying a large three-headed Pokemon that glowered down at the Anorith. It looked nasty, and probably seething with Doomsday virus. Patrick's ears flattened as he came up next to his small friend, trying to look intimidating.
Sixx heard his brother as soon as he sounded a cry. "Huh?" He looked up, just in time to see the Sylveon take off into the dark. He snorted. "What's going on..?" Suddenly, he saw a flash of movement in the direction his brother took off, and immediately he was filled with a flash of dread. He cut his eyes over to SCRAP. "I'm checking up on them. Keep watch," He said quickly, before getting down on all fours and tearing forward after Patrick.
"[Alert] Mayday mayday! Hostiles encountered." SCRAP buzzed when he saw the flash of green and the flurry of attacks. Subject 001 charged the attacker and, with a mix of defensive tactics and offensive power, took it down. The Porygon was intrigued by this small creature's ability being an outlier compared to the abilities of similarly small Pokémon. Before he could call off the alert, another Pokémon appeared. This one was brown with three heads. Its body was mostly spherical, though misshappen likely due to starvation or injury. At any rate, it presented an immediate threat.
A blur of pink and white as Patrick joined the battle against the intruder. It growled menacingly between pants.
"[Alert] Hostile identified. Doduo, flying type. Recommended attacks: Electric, Rock, Ice. Initiating Attack Mode!" ((I intentionally mis-identified the Pokémon. SCRAP doesn't have Pokédex software after all)).
Sixx came towards the Anorith and the Sylveon, calling out for the Porygon maintain watch.
"Understood. Maintaining alert." SCRAP buzzed.
((Time to join the fray))
Keira had since calmed herself down and decided that all this blubbering was worthless. Plus, if she showed this, they might see her as the weak child she is and then what little authority she has goes down a whirlpool. The ninetales started to hear some attacks and yelling from nearby. The clearing. Wait.... The clearing?! She shook the thin blanket on snow that had accumulated on her back and ran into the trees toward the camp. On the edge, a scyther started to walk by and she considered her options. Overheat. Wait.... not a good idea. The trees in the area would burn. Maybe a controlled burn.... Yeah, that'll work. Keira powered a small flame and walked out into the clearing and shot it off. The flame split into two, taking out two scyther at once. The ninetales heard SCRAP starting to call them doduo and then said, "No.... those are scy-" Then she looked over, 3 heads, not two. "That's a dodrio, I think. Same weaknesses." she says, then a scyther blindsided her with night slash and the ninetales went down.
The Anorith was relieved to see Patrick. Hopefully he was good at fighting, because the little bug didn't stand much of a chance against the three-headed bird. The Anorith prepared to defend himself, but wasn't sure what to do after Protect, the trick with Water Gun he used on the last one, which he was still surprised he managed to defeat, wouldn't work on something with three heads.
Meanwhile, the Scyther he thought was defeated, slowly started to get up. It stayed low and prepared to attack after the Dodrio, while its targets were distracted. The injuries it had received from the Anorith's Metal Claw were not actually that bad, they barely restricted its movement. It knew the other doomsday pokemon were there, so it faked defeat to get in a good position to attack once the targeted pokemon were distracted. The Dodrio began to dash toward the two pokemon.
Sixx sprinted towards Patrick and Anorith. As he got closer he could see a multi-headed Pokemon charging his friends, and he snarled. A glowing reddish aura suddenly coated his claws as he tore forward, his Hone Claws sharpening the nails and preparing him for the attack he knew he'd soon be unleashing. Hang on, hang on, hang onnnn, he thought furiously, praying Patrick would be able to hold of the enemy until he got there.
Patrick yelped as the Dodrio ran forward. he needed to move quickly, otherwise hi mand his small friend would be toast for sure! He swallowed, wishing Sixx would get here. He worked best in tandem with his brother, but for now it seemed he'd have to manage by himself. Quickly he leapt in front of the Anorith, determined to keep him safe at the very least. "Don't you dare!" he growled, his feelers wiggling and spreading out wide as he tapped into his Fairy energy. Feeling the moonlight above him glistening on his fur, Patrick opened his mouth, forming a large orb of pink energy. Suddenly his feelers flicked forward, and with a snarl the Sylveon fired his Moonblast directly at the Dodrio's middle head, hoping to throw it off balance.
As the others attacked the Dodrio, SCRAP stood by on alert. It would be detrimental if another Pokémon appeared to at–
Something landed on the Porygon's back. The computer Pokémon turned to see a large yellow Pokémon; its eyes were murky and its mouth in a snarl.
"Attacker identified: Pikachu. Initiating Attack Mo–" SCRAP began, only for the Pikachu to cut him off with a Bite attack. The wound wasn't deep, considering SCRAP's body wasn't made of flesh, but it caused damage. SCRAP tried to shake the Pokémon off, but it had other plans. It called its name, releasing a Thundershock attack while on SCRAP.
"Heavy damage sustained." SCRAP buzzed. His voice was crackling after the attack. Were he able to, he would express fear. He thought for a moment and developed a plan.
"Thrusters engaged." he beeped, lifting himself a bit higher and tilting downward a bit. He turned to face the Dodrio and, with a gush of air, blasted towards the bird Pokémon.
The Pikachu on his back prepared another attack.
Keira was slowly starting to get up from the attack, her side slightly bleeding. Damn, i'll have to fix that later. Then she saw SCRAP struggling with a pikachu, she was about to help out but decided that it had a better idea than she had. The ninetales seemed to disappear completely, then reappear behind another scyther, sweeping it off its feet with her tails (faint attack), finally dispatching it with a small flame. After repeating this a few more times, she was getting into a rhythm of these d-day pokemon.
However, that rhythm was soon to be disrupted, as another few pokemon made their way onto the battlefield, two dustox and a lombre. Great..... water types. Keira's thoughts were answered by a hydro pump, right over her head. "Any chance you'll back off and leave peacefully?" she asks. A dustox uses gust on the ninetales, blowing her off her paws. She stands back up, "Guess not. Oh well, talk is cheap anyways." Keira gears up for an extrasensory but is then tackled by another scyther on her blind side. "4 on 1 eh? You lack a sense of honor." Keira says. She had been charging extrasensory this whole time and unleashed it, sending the scyther flying and then taking out the two dustox. The ninetales smirks, "Then again, when it comes to d-day pokemon, so do I." Suddenly, her head felt a huge pain and sudden cold feeling in her head. The lombre had used ice punch, to the head. Keira recoils, and the lombre charges at the fox, obviously getting ready to bite her and go for the kill. Keira falls, and then rolls out of the way not even a second before impact. WOAH, too close. Now it would be the first to stand would likely be able to win out, and it looked like the d-day pokemon would make it, but then it collapses, not planning on getting up anytime soon.
Keira stands, still feeling the aftermath of the ice punch. Luckily, no pokemon seemed to be throwing themselves at her, so she could clear her head, or at least attempt to.
Meanwhile, Fleur was still waiting for a response from the Charizard, she, well, both shes, were starting to freeze in this weather, and it sounded like a fight was occurring behind her. However, she was still tending to more important matters, plus, it sounded like whatever it was starting to settle down.
The Anorith was examining the scene. The Dodrio had stumbled back from Patrick's attack, and now it seemed like the Ninetails was dispatching several more attackers. He also saw the Scyther behind him, about to attack. He screeched in surprise and let out a Water Gun, which caused the Scyther to fall back.
((Sorry this has taken so long. Inspiration's been lacking.))
There was someone talking to her. It wasn't a voice she was familiar with, so she could be pretty sure it wasn't a figment. She decided to respond out loud, hoping that whoever was talking to her did actually exist. "My name is Reiru. I'm not infected, but I've come close before. I... Failed Keira the first time. I owe her better. I want to make it right."
Something slipped into Mikhial's 'bubble', a jangled, snarling mass of thoughts, that the Alakazam identified instantly as a Doomsday Pokemon's thoughts. He yanked himself to the side, just as a blade came whistling at him. It sliced through his mustache, but didn't manage to draw any blood. Mikhial opened his eyes, and pushed his bubble out to expand how he could help. There were newcomers, but they seemed to be fighting the Doomsday Pokemon as well, so they weren't worth focusing on. The Scyther on the other hand, was an immediate threat. Mikhial started levitating the white sword, even as it steamed in the chilly air. The Scyther took this as a challenge, and lunged at the Alakazam with a screech of rage.
"Piiiikaaa-!!" the yellow mouse started. It stood up and raised its arms into the air, filled the area around them with static. This next one would "pack a punch", as the saying goes.
SCRAP suddenly came to a stop, something the Doomsday Pokémon didn't expect. The change in momentum, and the fact that it was no longer holding on to him, caused the creature to fly forward towards the Dodrio. The Pikachu slammed into the bird Pokémon just as it let loose it's attack; a Thunderbolt.
A strike of lightning came down, hitting the bird Pokémon at full power. The electrically charged air, combined with the moisture of the ground, caused the now reeling Scyther to be hit with some of the Electric attack given that it was soaked by Subject 001's Water Gun. The Dodrio took the brunt of the attack, draining its energy completely. The Pikachu, having exhausted some energy in its two electric attacks and having just flown head first into another Pokémon, fell to the floor panting. The Dodrio collapsed on top of it, out cold.
"Hostile neutralized. Engaging next target." the Porygon clicked, turning to face Keira, who was battling a Lombre and two moth-like Pokémon.
The fox was obviously fatigued, but she didn't care, adrenaline was all that mattered. Pure adrenaline was what kept her moving. Keira was dangerous when she was like this, but not only to an opponent, but to herself. In this state, she doesn't realize her body's signs of wanting to give, so she over does it. The ninetales waited and fought off anything that tried to take her down, but Keira came out of it quite knicked up. Her blind side was gashed up, and that ice punch to the head still had her reeling, but she didn't care. The fox downed the surprisingly tough scyther, but her adrenaline high was starting to wear off, the infected pokemon just kept coming, however. Keira was growing tired quickly, then a crafty aipom used double hit and sent her sprawling into the snow. Come on, get up you useless lump of fur! You can't let that monkey make a monkey of you. Get up! Now! Despite her mind's best efforts to get the body moving again, the body refused to move. Must I do everything? Keira used extrasensory to keep the aipom at bay for the moment. She had no idea how much longer she had until he mind would quit as well. The fox knew that she's in trouble but didn't plan on going down before using up her will.
Fleur heard this and started to connect the dots between what Keira had said before and what this charizard was saying now. The buizel grimaced, then looked behind her again, to see Keira basically defying logic with how many hit she took and she stayed up. "Really, you've failed before?" she said, "Where's the rest of your group?" Fleur looked back behind her again as the aipom delivered its attack. She responded, "Forget that, if you can stand and fight, I believe that your first chance at redemption has come."
Patrick yelped and staggered back as his Moonblast struck the Dodrio. It appeared to knock the infected Pokemon back some, but it was still standing, probably readying an attack. Patrick swallowed and stepped back, ready to throw up a Protect shield around him and his small Anorith friend, who was busy trying (and succeeding, to a degree) to fend off a Doomsday Scyther.
Suddenly, though, there was a blast of light as what appeared to be a Pikachu rocketed through the air and crashed into the Dodrio, letting loose a massive Thunderbolt. "Oh-!" Patrick exclaimed, his ears folding back in surprise as he scurried back to avoid getting hit by any wayward shocks. Turning his head, he spied their new Porygon friend, SCRAP, announcing that the target had been neutralized, and was off to fend off more foes. He smiled, "Ah! We have such strong friend, don't we?" he smiled down at his Anorith buddy.
Patrick's ear then twitched up. He turned his head, spying a shape emerging from the darkness, from near the mobs of Doomsday Pokemon Keira was fending off. It moved fast, very fast, and flashes of light (no, lightning he realized) flickered off its body. The Doomsday  Manectric snarled, its paws throwing up dirt as it ran. Patrick gasped as he realized the beast was charging at right for them, and his feelers flickered, ready to throw up the defenses.
Sixx could see the flashes of light from afar as he ran closer to his brother and friends. I have to move! he thought anxiously, and quickly he leapt into the air, before slamming down at the ground and starting to dig rapidly.
((Okay, with the exception of two more simple assignments, all of my coursework that I have to do is complete. Yay! I can have fun again!))
"Hey! Right here!" Nova yelled, surging claws first into the Doomsday Manectric. Bits of dancing flame escaped from her mouth as she flew towards the pokemon with great velocity. Not even seconds later, her sharp talons made contact with the shoulder and head of the electric dog. The unprepared Pokemon slammed to the ground before it had even had a chance to turn its head to realize exactly what had happened. The Manectric looked up at Nova with its savage, dead eyes, and tried fruitlessly to bit Nova's leg, which was being forced right on the side of its skull.
 Nova then used her flaming mouth to rip into the neck of the opposing pokemon. The heat of her fangs instantly cauterized the gaping hole that the Manectric had in the jugular. She looked around at all of the rest of the Doomsday that were coming out of the brush. "Patrick! You're a fairy! Can you heal Kiera?" she yelled, pointing her muzzle towards the greatly weakened Ninetails. She didn't even give him a moment to relax, before she spat out more words. "Just do what you can, I'm gonna keep fighting!"
 The screeches of the doomsday pokemon and her allies filled the air. Nova looked about, taking in all of the glowing eyes, and all of the disgusting rotting scents that were surrounding them. There were too many Doomsday. They needed to move. The more noise they made, the more blood those savages could smell, the more that would appear. They were already hopelessly outnumbered, and only more would appear. Nova ran by the side of Kiera, ready to defend against the Aipom. "We need to move!" she exclaimed to her teammates. The flames that had been protruding from Nova's mouth were extinguished, and changed to dark clouds. She opened up her mouth, and fired a Dark Pulse at the already tired Aipom.
The Aipom fell to the ground, but it wasn't dead yet. Nova ran forward, and got its tiny head between her maw, quickly ending its life, as if she were just cracking a nut. She restored the flames back into her mouth, so the feeling of the heat would cover the repugnant taste. Nova stepped back to Keira, on the lookout for more to appear.
Keira snapped out of the half-unconsciousness that she was in and looked around. Come on....think....there's got to be something.... A doomsday pidgey flew nearby, likely trying to get in another blow before fleeing. I hate to do this, I really do. Sadly, I don't have another option, I can't let anyone help me. A harsh purple light surrounded her and the pidgey, the bird squawked painfully and the fox gritted her teeth in an attempt to not scream. Keira was slowly starting to heal and the bird started slowing down in flight, eventually going down. She stood up, still pretty weak and injured, but enough to be able to function. Meanwhile, the d-day pidgey was trying to get away, and Keira decided to be merciful in this situation, since she had basically sapped its energy and injured it pretty badly. Then she did this again to a few other completely healthy, but still d-day pokemon, until most of her wounds were bearable for the time being. I really hate pain split, the only reason I still use it is for that. The ninetales shook her head. No time to rest on your laurels stupid, let's get going! Keira's violet eye glinted and she disappeared again, only to appear behind and bring her paw down on the head of another pidgey (faint attack), dispatching it by tossing it into a tree with extrasensory.
That's more like it. Keira saw an opening and charged something that looked violent and hot. Meanwhile, d-day pokemon started to go on the attack, trying to stop her. She was trying to charge overheat and needed a lot of energy to do this. Energy was also something she did not have. So, the fox tried to focus what she did have into one huge blast, while pokemon stared to pelt her with a lot of very weak projectiles. This would likely injure her again, but she didn't give a damn about that, all she wanted was some peace for one night, and that didn't happen. So she was going to make them pay, make them all flee or burn trying to kill her.
SCRAP looked toward Keira, the Ninetails that was fending off multiple attackers. She was able to drawn energy from some of the smaller Pokémon and even perform a Feint Attack on a Pidgey that was attacking her. SCRAP considered approaching her to provide medical aid while she fought, but the idea was quickly discarded when she began what looked like another attack.
"[Statement] Temperature rising in localized area." he buzzed. The "Doomsday" Pokémon were on the offensive again, peppering Keira with small attacks she seemed to endure, but only barely. If she could draw the attention of these Pokémon away from herself, perhaps her attack would hold more power?
"Preparing attack." As before, three white circles appeared in front of the Porygon, forming the points of a triangle. The circles changed color- red, blue, and yellow, and the triangle began spinning around the central axis perpendicular to its plane. A thin stream of fire shot out. SCRAP fired this one close to the Ninetails with the hopes it would add to her attack's power. Next came a thin blast of ice, hitting an Aipom that was lunging at her. Finally came the electric attack, hitting the Lombre that was causing her some issue earlier. Given that SCRAP was not built for combat (but still had some programming to handle situations), these attacks weren't powerful. But they did catch the attacked Pokémon by surprise. Maybe that would give Keira enough time for her attack.
Fleur watched as Keira basically played vampire and shuddered a little bit looking at that. Then her foxy friend took out a pidgey, but suddenly started charging an attack. "Uh.... this can't be good." she said. "How injured she is, plus the fact that she's trying to burn energy she doesn't have and that this attack takes a lot..." mumbled the buizel under her breath. Fleur started thinking about it, then finally stated "At best, she'd be dead tired and unable to fight. At worst, she'd likely be unconscious and unmoving for a few hours. Well then, looks like we have a ticking time bomb on our hands." The buizel thought about intervening and attempting to stop it, but SCRAP gave her a little fire to work with, and she sighed in relief. "Well, looks like unconscious is out of the equation. Plus if someone wants to save her, it has to be you, Charizard."  said Fleur.
Meanwhile, Keira was starting to exhaust what little reserved energy she had left in her. A half colored fire stone fell out of her bag of supplies and became more gray as the ninetales stored more energy. Then a small flame hit her sphere of concentration and became a part of it. Woah.... too much....too much....I can't....hold on. She gritted her teeth, focusing the blast into this small area around her and quickly yowled, "Get back, now!" As the words came out, she lost her grip and the spherical overheat shot up into the air right above her and straight down with a lot of force, causing a shockwave to those near enough to her. The fox was swept off her feet be the force of her own attack, and fire burned all around her as the sphere made its impact.....
((The shockwave could be felt by most everyone besides for Fleur and Reiru, as they were not in the clearing. Plus, Keira rarely even does this, as it is a last resort, which is why it's so powerful and exhausting for her. Expect her to not be of much help for at least the rest of the night. Sorry if this seems g-moddy, but I didn't want her to just go around, slinging powerful fire attacks whenever she pleased and not feel something. So I decided to amp it up, make her charge, and then make her pay for it later.))
Patrick stumbled back as Nova tore onto the scene, dispatching the aggressive Doomsday Manectric with ease. She was then speaking to him, asking if he was able to heal Keira. he glanced over at the Ninetales, and could see how battered she truly was. "I-I don't know any healing moves!" he stammered after a moment. His ears and feelers quivered, "I mean, mmm-maybe I have some berries, though.." He looked at his knapsack and poked his nose in, smelling the faint hint of the few berries he still had in there. Surely one of them had to be a healing berry. He glanced at his Anorith friend, "Stay here." he said quickly ,even though he was fairly certain his statement would be impossible for the little bug to understand. The Sylveon swallowed, before moving quickly to try and reach Keria.
His journey was short lived, though. Before he could even get a few feet out something shot out in front of him, buzzing wildly. Patrick screamed, instinctively throwing up a Protect shield around him as a Doomsday Beedrill threw itself a him, its spear-stingers crashing and bashing against the barrier. The Sylveon trembled, knowing his protect wouldn't help him for long. If that Beedrill decided to launch a Poison Jab or something, he was toast....
Suddenly, dirt was flying, and a ferocious snarl cried out as the Beedrill was lifted away from Patrick's crumbling shield and into the air, blood red claws slashing into its thorax. Sixx growled and snapped at the struggling bee. "Patrick, get back!" he called as he twisted in mid-air, slamming his foe back down into the ground. Patrick gulped and obliged, scrambling back, wondering if he could still get to Keira in time to give any help. He then heard a sickening crunch as his brother crushed the Beedrill's exoskeleton, ending the threat before it could do any harm. He looked over, panting. "You alright?"
However, before Patrick could reply, both Sylveon and Zoroark heard a loud yowl from Keira's direction, a single command to get back. Then there was a massive wave of heat, a shockwave strong enough to rock the two to their core. Moving quickly Sixx tumbled forward, tackling Patrick and shoving him into his back fur. He then dug beneath the surface again, as fast as he could to avoid the writhing fires from Keira's Overheat.
 Nova watched Keira loose a gigantic overheat, a scale of which Nova hadn't seen yet from her. When Kiera yelled her warning to be careful of the flames, Nova braced herself but hunkering down a bit. She had seen an overheat before-- but this one seemed especially powerful. The ground tremored as the flames hit the ground with immense power, causing Nova to shake, and almost lose her footing. Nova properly braced herself however, and merely stumbled forward to absorb the impact.
 The flames were pouring in from all directions, and there was no way that Nova could absorb it all. Nova braced herself for the massive amount of flame power she was going to take in. She took a deep breath, and her crimson eyes glowed a brighter red as her Flash Fire ability activated. A heavy wind whipped the flames into Nova's direction, as her blue fur began to turn orange and red while the fire swarmed around her. The dancing flames thickly surrounded her as her body tried to absorb it all, to prevent burning the entire forest to the ground.
Nova tried to look through the thick shield of flames, and could see that the Doomsday pokemon were either knocked on the ground, dead, or fleeing. Wait, are some running away? Nova squinted through the flames, watching as they took back off into the forest. She had never seen Doomsday run away before. So then it was true -- slowly, they were becoming more intelligent. They were unwilling to fight to the death anymore. The inferno continued to swirl around her, as Nova prepared to take all of the fire. Her fur glowed even brighter, and the flames were immediately sucked into her body.
The houndoom howled loudly, unable to control herself due to the sheer amount of power bursting into her body. Flames began to leak out of her mouth, as her body was just too filled with flame for her to take it all. Nova lost control of the fire, and a few rogue bursts of flame flew towards the trees, lighting them aflame. Nova inhaled sharply, trying to contain all of the fire that was within her. Every part of her body just wanted to release the fire within, but the forest was already beginning to burn. The flames weren't raging like they would have if they had been touched by the full force of the overheat, but, regardless, the forest was now on fire.
"We need to get out of here! Now!" Nova barked to the group, locating a patch of trees that hadn't yet been touched by flames. "Let's go!"
The Anorith stayed where he was after Patrick left, simply because he had no idea what to do now. It looked like there were still some pokemon attacking, but it was already an exhausting day before the attack, he just didn't have the energy to fight. He then noticed something light up the night sky. He also heard a yell, he wasn't sure from who, but he decided this and the ominous fireball, which was beginning to fall, were reason enough to go hide behind something. Luckily, there was a rock close by. He didn't quite make it there before the shockwave hit, but he was mostly behind the rock by the time the flames reached him, but a couple of his wings were left exposed to the flames for long enough to badly burn them.
The flames soon passed, most of them seemed to have been diverted elsewhere, and he heard a howl soon after. However, the area around him was on fire. He managed to put out the fire in a small area using Water Gun, but it wouldn't take long for the water to evaporate and the trees to catch fire again. He ran out, though his three injured wings slowed him down, and tried to find anyone else. He saw the remaining attackers fleeing, so that was good news at least.
He ran over to where the others were, which was also where the fire burned the hardest. Was it even worth trying to control the fire? He wasn't sure, but he tried anyway. He tamed the flames nearby, but he knew he wouldn't be able to use Water Gun much longer. Unless someone else with water type moves was able to extinguish the flames, they would have to run. Hopefully this would at least give everyone a chance to get out of here.
SCRAP was close enough to the attack that the shockwave blew him away like a box in strong wind and the flames struck him, though the attack wasn't directed at him. He landed near where Patrick and the Anorith were fighting off some Pokémon. The Porygon had already taken a good amount of damage during the battle, and running his Combat routine and being close to the source of a very powerful attack didn't bode well for him. He was "tired", if a nonorganic being could be called such.  His health was low. SCRAP's thrusters fired, reorienting himself to an upright position. His limbs were trembling chaotically, but he was still able to move with little struggle.
"We need to get out of here! Now! Let's go!" barked the dog-like Pokémon with a stone embedded in her body. SCRAP turned to look at Keira, who was laying on the ground having exhausted her energy. If mobilization was a priority, and this Pokémon was unable to move herself, then she would require assistance.
"Combat r-r-r-routine end. Diverting auxiliary pow-pow-power to thrusters." SCRAP crackled. His voice was fuzzy, staticy. He looked to where Keira lay: her vital signs looked low. She was dead weight, so she would need to be carried. Clocking in at an estimated 19 kg, she would be heavy in the arms of an organic lifeform that was already tired from battle. The Porygon floated quickly towards her and, with some maneuvering and effort, managed to lift her onto his back.
"Evacu-cu-cu-tion". He moved towards Nova, lurching left and right as he attempted to balance the new weight on his body.
Fleur, no matter how far away she was, was still knocked a bit off balance from the shockwave. Then the forest caught on fire. "Well this is just swell. Charizard, we need to get out of here, and I am not leaving you behind. " The buizel attempted to help it up into a standing position, which was near impossible. Somehow, she succeeded, but it sapped a lot of what energy she had left. "Come on, we need to get moving." Fleur said at last.
Keira opened her eyes and felt as if a palkia stepped on her over and over again. Plus the adrenaline had faded, leaving only pain coursing through her body like a poison. Speaking of poison, this is what it may have felt like to be poisoned, but she wouldn't know. The beedrill was the only poison type there and it didn't even go near the fox. Keira didn't care anymore, she figured the flower that was on the middle tail was nearly black (another reference to the former rp) like when she was first found by Innis. He had saved her, but she didn't return the favor. That's why she ran from Reiru, because she had failed the ones who saved her. Come on, you have to have something left. Something. No? Nothing? No energy? No fire? Nothing? Come on! You're weak! Know what, forget it. Just don't die. Keira shut that voice out of her mind, that voice that pretty much abused her, it was good motivation to listen so it shuts up. I really hate my mind sometimes. I really do. It's like someone else is in my head. I know when i'm licked. She felt as if she was floating and all she could see is pure light. No....I can't be dying. Pain came again, she lightly sighed in relief. Good, now, I need rest. The ninetales closed her eyes as she slipped back into unconsciousness.
"Scrap, if you can't carry her, I have a lot of energy after her overheat. I can take her from you until you... fix yourself," Nova said to the Porygon. She spoke with haste, still worried about the woods that were crumbling around her. The way Nova saw it, Kiera was relatively light, and wouldn't feel like that much if she was slouched over her back. A branch fell in the distance with a loud crack, and Nova pointed her head towards the noise. She then noticed the small Anorith crawling about on the ground.
"You can put... that one on your back," Nova said, pointing her muzzle towards the Anorith, which seemed to be badly hurt from the fire. "I can handle Kiera. No problem."
Reiru struggled to her feet. Her side was numb wherr the Buizel had hit her with the Ice Punch. But she wasn't going to fail Keira again. "She may not forgive me. I failed her badly. She might not even accept my help." Reiru said, and was airborne before Fleur would be able to reply.  From an aerial perspective, it looked bad. She saw several different fights going on, including a clearly Psychic type fighting a Scyther with two weapons that looked familiar.  She also saw the burst of heat that had come from Keira.  She just hoped that there weren't any friendlies near the hit zone that didn't like fire. A lot of small fires started around Keira, and the small fox collapsed.  Reiru had a thought, and hoped that these d-day Pokèmon were smart enough to have a self preservation instinct that drove them. She remembered, back in Hoenn... The group had been about to be overwhelmed by a swarm of d-day Pokèmon when, out of nowhere,  a rampaging D-Day Salamence had come. It's roar alone had been enough to scare off the swarm.
And now Reiru was going to try and replicate that. She took a deep breath,  and bellowed a roar, a deep, booming dragon's challenge, that the Charizard hadn't known she could perform. If she hadn't known that she'd created it, her instinct would have been to run.
You aren't even a real Dragon. You can't even fool yourself,  let alone a horde. You'll fail again,  and Keira will die,  and it will be all your fault for posturing, rather than getting in there and helping her. Useless idiot.
Fleur saw the dragon take off and then bellow a huge roar. Even the charizard seemed to be a bit afraid of herself after the roar, and the buizel fell over and recoiled. She yelled up "Glad you aren't d-day! We'd be toast!" The doomsday pokemon started to flee quickly and the group started to move from the forest fire. However, a couple group members seemed to turn around and be ready to face this new "threat". Here we go....
 Almost immediately after Nova had asked Scrap for Keira, a loud roar blasted through the air. Nova's head snapped to attention in the direction of the sound. It was nearly deafening, and it brought a chill to Nova's heart. Something big was nearby. Definitely some kind of dragon... a charizard, maybe, Nova thought, starting to walk towards it. She didn't want to leave them, but something about the charizard drew her close. She came to a slow stop, and turned her head to face SCRAP. "Scrap, watch over them for me, there's something big nearby. See if you can find anyone else,"
 Nova then dashed towards the sound, running through the flaming brush towards the sound. Not long after running through the clearing, she found the source of the noise: A charizard, just like she had guessed. Nova took a quick scan of it, trying to figure out if it was doomsday or not. It had some accessories, but they were tattered or destroyed, and a ring with a gem on one of its fingers. That's a mega gem like mine... Nova noted. Whether this charizard was a doomsday pokemon or not, it was incredibly dangerous. When Nova raised her vision to stare into its eyes as a challenge, it looked almost dead on the inside. She bared her teeth in a growl, slowing from her run into a slow pacing motion. She stopped about eight feet from the flame beast, her blue fur standing on end.
Fleur sees Nova turn and go after the charizard, landing close nearby. "Wait! Before you attack, she did that to scare the d-day pokemon off. She's with us!" Fleur blurts out. "Plus we don't have time to fight, we need to flee!" The buizel points to the fire, only getting bigger and bigger by the second. "I think I saw a cave nearby. We need to get there without killing each other! The charizard is not doomsday, and considering her past, we might want to give her a chance. Plus....the megastone." Fleur said, she was talking quickly for a few reasons. First, the charizard wanted redemption, two, it wasn't doomsday, three, she had seen enough death for the day, and four, if they didn't run, they'd burn.
 Nova looked at Fleur, a bit flustered that she didn't even pick up on the presence of the Buizel. "Apologies," she said curtly to the Charizard. "No offense, but if you don't want pokemon to mistake you for doomsday, you should probably wash up a bit and get that dead look out of your eyes," Nova said quickly, clearly trying to defend her own hastiness to attack. She paused her speech for a minute to turn herself around, and took a deep breath to relax her hackles. "Let's go."
Nova dashed off into the flames and forest, making her way back to where a few members of the group had congregated.
The flames in the area near the Anorith had been tamed, for now at least. He could no longer use Water Gun, so this was as much as he could do. Hopefully it would give them enough time to gather so no one would get lost. The Anorith turned away from the flames and moved closer to SCRAP as Nova ran off to investigate a loud, terrifying roar. Though normally he would want to investigate the noise as well, the little insect couldn't bring himself to care right now, he had too much else to worry about. He managed to keep himself from being burned even more, but he was still in pretty bad shape. His burns would have started to heal, but his frequent moving around just made them raw and even worse than before. The cut wing especially worried him, walking on it had caused the cut to open further. Simply walking was becoming increasingly painful. He was exhausted, all of this was too much for his little body to take, but knew he wouldn't be able to rest until they were out of the burning forest. He just hoped he could stay awake that long. He couldn't.
SCRAP looked at the Anorith. It was clearly injured and struggling with movement. He could carry the former fossil, but at an estimated 12 to 13 kg it would over encumber him and reduce his speed.
"[Suggestion] Other one can ca-ca-carry you. If I did, I mo-mo-mo slow." he told the Anorith. His head twitched and a small spark jumped out. The damage was managable: he wasn't burned, nor did he have a physical injury that would be aggravated by movement. Once they reached a secure location he could begin recovery.
Nova approached the group, having investigated the source of the loud noise from earlier. SCRAP found this an ideal time to respond to her inquiry.
"[Explanation] Your combat-bat skills are superior to mine. You can better clear-r-r-r a route. [Suggestion] You would be best with optimmmmal mobility. I will carry the nine-nine-niner tailed one. There are others who can carry the re-re-remaining injured." SCRAP told the Houndoom as she approached.
The ground cracked and rose up in a small spot for a moment, before Sixx suddenly burst through the surface, digging out several feet from where he and his brother had descended. He pulled himself out, sputtering out dirt and shaking clods of soil out of his fur. He turned his head, eyes widening as he now noticed the raging forest fire around them and the others. "This is a nightmare..." he mumbled, reaching to click his claws together as a nervous habit. Suddenly a loud roar echoed trhoug hthe premises, sending the Zoroark stumbling forward with a yelp.
Patrick popped out of Sixx's back fluff, his ribbons instantly going rigid as he felt the heat around them. He landed on the ground, looking around frantically. He saw their Houndoom friend Nova running to investigate the loud roar, and their other compatriots milling about anxiously. He spied his small insect friend on the ground, looking..injured? "Sixx, I'll be back!" he cried to his brother, before running over to the Anorith. He skidded to a stop, touching his small friend with his feelers, "Oh, no...did you hurt your little wings? Ohh....you can ride on my back! I'll carry you if it hurts!" He got down into a bowed, kneeling-like position on his front paws, and nodded at his back. He had no idea how much the little Pokemon weighed, but certainly it couldn't be too heavy.
Sixx watched Patrick set to work with Anorith, and smiled a little. He then noted Keira's fainted form, an his smile turned int oa grimace. He prayed no other Doomsday Pokemon attempted to ambush them; between the fire and the general confusion, it was a very tight spot for everyone. He moved closer o everyone else, hearing SCRAP explain to a returning Nova that he would carry Keira back. Sixx examined the boxy Pokemon, and made the assumption that, yes, such an odd, but bulky Pokemon could probably carry a Ninetales with minimal issues.
Fleur started to run to catch up with everyone. As it seemed, people didn't like her charizard friend, but the buizel didn't have enough time to care about that. Plus, as it seemed, Keira was out cold and heavily injured, and that insect-like thing wasn't in too good shape either. Fleur sighed, her friend likely overdid it again and was just exhausted, but upon closer inspection.... scratches, bruises and all kinds of marks, plus her breathing seemed shallow. Fleur glanced to her tails and the normally white flower was almost black. Odd... what with this flower? It's normally snow white, but it's almost black. I'll ask her about that later.... Why does it get like that when she's all beat up and stuff....? Fleur decided to call out, "I think I saw some caves nearby on the way here? Why not try those?"
((Guys want to time skip to the caves? If you want, after transport for 001 is settled, then that person can just skip ahead if no one objects.))
((I, personally, am cool with a timeskip and don't see why anyone would be opposed. For the record, I'm gonna say feel free to do that at any time, just to keep things moving.))
Nova felt bad for the Porygon. The only time she had ever seen pokemon talk like that was when they were exhausted and close to death. "As long as you think you'll be alright. If you can't handle it, I'll take her though."
 When Fleur arrived to the group soon after, Nova nodded at Fleur's suggestion. "Only having to guard from one side should help us for sure."
((Oops, I'm slowing everyone down, aren't I... Sorry. But, yeah, a timeskip is fine with me. Also, should mention a small headcanon that came up here. It might be a common headcanon, I don't know. But, yeah, bit of a headcanon that fossil pokemon weren't always Rock type, they became Rock type thanks to being an actual rock when they were a fossil. I would assume Anorith was originally Bug/Water.))
The Anorith looked at Patrick. It looked like he was offering him a ride. He gratefully accepted and climbed up on his new friends back, chirping a few times to say thanks. He tried to hold on, like he did with SCRAP, but he was too tired to hold on, at least he turned his claws away from Patrick. He didn't realize he was a bit heavier than he used to be, thanks to the fossilization and restoration process making him part Rock type, but he hadn't even realized he was part Rock type yet.
((Hm…that's an interesting theory. I'd assume the 'revival' process involves DNA, which would make the Rock typing a part of the Pokémon originally. But the process isn't really elaborated on as far as I know. I say go with what makes the best characterization.))
The cave would provide shelter, but may interfere with the signals SCRAP intended to send to the scientists at the Mossdeep Space Center. Current priority was in healing himself and his new allies though: their encounter was nearly fatal for many of them.
Upon entering the cave, the Porygon moved ahead to a small clearing and laid the Ninetails down on the cave floor. She needed medical attention. Though living creatures could recover naturally, the recovery rate was slow and often imperfect.
"[Questioning] Do any of y-y-you have medical items? [Statement] I was designed with a bui-built in Re-Re-Recovery Mode." he said to the others. His speech processors were glitching out: a sign of damage. Though he wasn't struck much, the battle and the heat did a number to his processors. Once his body cooled down and his Recovery initiated, he should be operating close to normal capacity. The Porygon turned to Keira. "[Comforting] This will will w-ease pain." he told her in as comforting a voice as monotone could allow. From his chest cavity he took a Potion and sprayed the Ninetails.
"Running Recycle routine." he chimed; he took an Oran berry and converted it into energy, which he used to refill the Potion. Recycle: originally he was given this routine to repair damaged equipment by using spare parts and other bits he could find. It was efficient, but did take some time to run. "[Statement] This Potion has another u-use. Who requires med-med aid?"
Fleur entered the cave and SCRAP started work on healing everyone and he first went for Keira, spraying potion on her and running recycle. The charizard seemed to take the rear, coming to the mouth of the cave last. It got a few funny looks, but Fleur shot those pokemon a glare and they looked away. The buizel went over to Keira and started digging into the messenger bag the she always had slung over her shoulder. Soon, she pulled out a couple of berries, and a super potion. The buizel gave them over to SCRAP, who seemed to have healing under control, saying, "Put these to use if you wish." Then the buizel looked to Keira, she seemed to start recovering little by little, which relieved the water type. She then brought another potion over to the charizard and sat down. "So.... if you can get this on yourself, do so, and sorry about the ambush. Anyways, what's your story?"
When all had gathered inside of the cave, Nova immediately knew the dank cave would be well-suited with a fire. So she turned back, and began to pick through the surrounding areas for some wood. She could smell the fire in the distance, although she doubted that it had spread too far. Nova picked up dry twigs and branches from the ground, fathered as many as she could possibly fit between her jaws. When her mouth was too full to carry even another tiny piece of wood, she turned back to walk towards the cave.
Nova dumped all of the branches on the ground, and used her nose and paws to arrange them in a pile of sorts. She then cast a tiny flame towards the center of the fire. Black smoke began to billow from the wood, as all of the excess moisture was absorbed into the air. With another tiny puff of fire, the campfire was glowing healthily, illuminating the cave. The cave seemed fairly secure: It looked small, and she doubted that there were winding pathways that Doomsday pokemon could hide in. Her eyes hadn't fully adjusted to the darkness, but the cave seemed to mainly be a large clearing on the inside.
Nova lay down next to the fire, and opened her maw to form a loud yawn. Her previous sleep had been interrupted, and she was ready to doze off.
Patrick tried to keep good pace as him and Sixx followed the others into the cave, but his Anorith friend's slight bulk slowed him down a little. He didn't mind too much though, more concerned about keeping the small Pokemon safe and secure on his back than anything. His neck ribbons laced around Anorith, and he constantly glanced back as he walked, making sure he hadn't slid off his back during the journey or anything.
Soon they were in the cave, and the Sylveon leaned down again onto his front paws. "Now departing the Patrick Express!" He chirped, turning to bump Anorith gently with his nose to signal to him that it was safe to get off his back. Patrick glanced around the cave, smiling as he saw his friends settling in. Surely they'd be safe and sound in here!
Sixx meanwhile, shook out his fur and lopped down on the cold cave fur as soon as he was settled inside. He stole a glance over at Keira's fainted form, watching as SCRAP spritzed her with a potion. He was thankful the odd Pokemon had such skill with items. The Zoroark glanced down and the floor, licking his lips nervously. I probably could have carried her, he mused, knowing he hadn't made the move out of his own anxieties over her somehow finding out about it later, and the hypothetical nightmare that would follow that. He silently cursed his cowardice, and promised himself if Keira got injured again he wasn't just going to stand around lollygagging.
Suddenly the cave was illuminated, and Sixx glanced up and saw the campfire Nova had started in the middle of the space. he smiled, yawning a little himself when she did. "Man, it's been way too busy an evening for all of us, I think," he said, getting up and moving a bit closer to indulge in the heat, "Gonna need all the rest I can get my paws on."
Keira was starting to recover, but her body was cold, so she was shivering as she slept. Dreams were starting to come, and these wouldn't be good ones, as always. When she is cold, nightmares run rampant in her mind, like d-day pokemon outside. Mostly, these were images from the past, but they felt like fresh horrors in her mind.
This time, it was Innis, and her, only back when she was a vulpix. Luminose city was near, but her frail body gave out. Suddenly, the azumarril came by, and picked her up. This dream wasn't as bad, but then her mind shifted, Del's attack.
Him and his friend tried to kill every last one of them. Ryu was nicer back then, he had protected her and they warded them off together. However, her body racked with pain in the current time, and it shifted, to her parents' deaths.
They had held the d-day pokemon off, but her mother was overwhelmed. They swarmed the ninetales and tore her body apart, living only remains, and they had severely wounded her father. He had walked on, carrying the severely wounded vulpix, and later died. A voice rang out in her mind. "You failed them, both of them. They died saving your sorry neck and what have you done to live up to that? Nothing." She recognized that voice as her own. The fox didn't want to believe that but it was her own thoughts.
The scene shifted. Sunny, her heliolisk friend, had long disappeared. Innis was forcing the d-day pokemon back and he had maintained himself for an impressive amount of time. Keira had a chance to save him, but she ran on, leaving Innis to die. "See him? You left him for dead too. What have you done for him? Nothing."
Keira's body racked with shivering.
"All these pokemon, they've given you a chance. You've blown every other chance. Don't blow this one. Unless you want this to happen." Her mind flashes, showing every horrible image that her mind has collected since the first attack, her mother's mangled body, her father's limp body, her own body, nearly dead, Innis dying, they all swirled in her head. Then her and replaced her father's body, with another, Fleur's. "She is just one of the pokemon that could die because of your cowardice. Don't let it happen."
The images faded and her mind went black, leaving her in the soothing darkness.....
((The stuff in "" is her mind talking to her, she isn't saying anything, just so you know.))
Keira shivered in her sleep. SCRAP had nothing with him that could provide an insulation layer with which her body heat would not be lost to the environment. Perhaps the other Pokémon would press themselves close to one another to keep warm. SCRAP looked to the others; some looked to have taken quite some damage. He sprayed Keira with the Potion he Recycled and stored the now-empty healing item. The Super Potion, given to him by the strange blue and orange water Pokémon, would be ideal for emergency. Speaking of which, said Pokémon was injured.
SCRAP floated over to Fleur, who was speaking with a Charizard that looked like it had seen better days.
"[Comforting] This will ea-*static* pain." he told the water type, spraying her with another Potion he had with him. Fleur had already used a Potion on the Charizard, so SCRAP moved on to the others.
The Anorith was hurt: it's "wing" was cut up and there were some burns.
"[Comfor–] E-E-Ease pain." he told the Pokémon, Recycling another Oran berry and spraying it.
By the time they made it to the cave, the Anorith had fallen half asleep. He was slightly startled when Patrick bumped him to let him know they were there. He chirped and jumped down. The floor of the cave was cool and damp, which helped a bit with the burns. His wings were already beginning to heal, quicker than he expected, but it still hurt quite a bit. Once Nova had started the fire, he positioned himself as far as he could while still staying warm. He watched as SCRAP floated around, spraying something on the other pokemon. His voice was getting erratic, and he was making unusual sounds, but not his usual unusual sounds. The polygonal pokemon floated toward him, said something, then sprayed him with something SCRAP made using an Oran berry, it helped with the pain. "[Thanks, but, uh, are you okay? You sound... tired?]" he wasn't sure if 'tired' was the right word, but it was the closest he could think of.
Fleur looked around, there was a fire going. However, it was on the other side of the cave. She was starting to feel a little chilly at well. Luckily, there were some fallen sticks nearby, she grabbed them and gathered them into a small pile, then she took another stick and went to the other fire, caught the end of said stick on fire and used that to light the other pile, where she, the charizard and Keira were nearby. The buizel settled down again and then said, "Sorry, just thought that a fire would help warm our friend up." Fleur motioned to Keira, who slept nearby. Fleur then said, "If you would, please tell me your story. You don't have to tell me everything, I just want to get a sense of how you two met and who you are."
Meanwhile, the fire started to warm Keira's body, speeding her recovery up. Her breathing steadied.
((Sorry that's it's mainly filler. Just needed something to float it along a little))
Reiru took the Potion gratefully, and waited as Fleur grabbed a stick to light the fire. When she explained that it would help Keira, Reiru nodded. "More than you probably know. How warm she is... well... This is just speculation, since she never told us outright. That flower she has, I think it's an indicator of how healthy she is. When I first met her, it was black, not quite shriveled, then, after a while with her in a fire, it became white again. It never went that dark again, but while we were travelling, especially through the wintery regions of Sinnoh, it did go ashy grey a few times. And when she was hurt, it would darken as well. Heat helps her recover strength. It's a bit different to the way Flash Fire normally works, but..." Reiru shrugged, and then seemed to process Fleur's question.
"I... Well... Back in Kalos there is... I mean was, a 'camp' of survivors of the Doomsday Virus, run by a Gengar. He took in all of us, taught us how to take the Doomsday Pokemon down, and made sure that if we found survivors, we'd bring them back, and give them what care we could. That's how I met Keira. Innis..." Reiru paused, remembering Innis holding off the Doomsday horde in Johto, yanking fetid water from the ground, pummeling everything that came at him with water and fae energy. Him yelling for them to run, get as far away as they could. His screams as they overwhelmed him. The explosion of water, in his final moments, as he pulled all of the water within a mile to him, attempting to wash away the disease. Fleeing. Pouring rain. Kalea returning to the site, bringing a scoured white stone from the river bed. Painstaking care to carve words into the stone, words in the language Innis had such fascination with.
"An nì a thig leis a’ghaoith, falbhaidh e leis an uisge*. What comes with the wind, goes with the water." She hadn't even realized she'd said it out loud, as sorrow crashed on her like a wave. She hoped Kalea still had the stone, although she couldn't remember seeing it after that night in Johto.
She also hoped that there wasn't enough left of Innis to become Doomsday, because Reiru doubted that she could bring herself to fight the brave Azumarill.
Mei... Luis... Innis... Tanith... Probably Sunny... Arceus knows how many Doomsday... I've got blood on my claws, and no matter what I do, I won't be able to wash it away. If I fail to save Keira this time... I won't deserve this life. There is no making it right, no repentance. If there is a hell beyond this world, then surely the deaths I have caused will send me there.
((*Do me a favor, and don't ask for pronunciation. I can not pronounce Gaelic. Maybe ask Shaymin.))
"So that's what the flower does, likely. Interesting. That should be something to note. What i'm wondering is why she doesn't tell anyone about this. Maybe she doesn't want anyone worrying about her." Fleur says, trying to think. Then the charizard started talking about the survivors, and then some strange saying. The mood instantly grew somber around the fire that the buizel was at. Avoiding that touchy topic of Innis she said, "I'll be right back." She stood up and went to the middle of the cave, where a potion was ready. Fleur swapped it with an oran berry and the used potion then went back towards the charizard and Keira. On the way back, she tripped over something, a bag, Keira's bag of medical stuff and some of her personal belongings. A small book fell out of it, it was written in unown characters, something that Fleur had a small understanding of. She brought it and the new potion over to Reiru. "Hey, maybe this will give us a little information. I don't like doing it, but it could give us a little info" she said, taking one of her knives and began picking the lock that was on it.
She soon finished picking the lock. It wasn't damaged or anything, just close the book and the lock is back in play. The buizel started reading it, looking over each page a few times in order to translate it. After the first page, she started telling Reiru, in a hushed voice so no one else could hear, "It seems as if her parents wrote this. They must've been really smart to write in unown characters." She continued reading, "It also says that lucario was her friend, didn't seem like it. She kept reading, the d-day advancing.... Then finally, something that had no name. It explained something important, what they were looking for. She reads it over and over and then translates, "We have part of it. Here it says that the flower seemed to go dark and start to die as her life force wanes. Plus heat, fire and warmth does help the process out." she reads on then says, "However, keeping a fire stone nearby also seems to help out. There's more, she can tap into her life force or a fire stone to increase her firepower, but doing so will drain her completely and render her unconscious. If too much is used... bad things. So it seems that it's flash fire, but overly complicated. So basically she's frail, but powerful, and there's ways to speed her recovery." Fleur explains. "If you have something to write it down on or in, we may want to do that so we have something to refer to. Maybe keep it in that bag you have?" She points out the bag that the charizard had with her. "You know.... I never got your name. I'm Fleur. Sorry if I seem all over the map, but I just don't want anyone else listening in. So.... what's your name, and do you have anything to write this down on or in?" said Fleur.
"To be entirely honest with you, I don't actually know what's in here." Reiru murmured, slipping the satchel off of her shoulder.  "Before I went to follow you guys... Kalea, the Blaziken you probably saw when Keira was kicking Ryu's teeth in for him... she made me take it. Knowing her, it's probably a general survival kit. ...I hope they're still okay." Reiru mused, pulling the bag open. Her snout scrunched as she recognized the bitter herbal smell that she couldn't help but associate with Kalea's tough love method of healing.  You don't have to like it, but it does the job.
"Hm. Rope, Arceus knows where she got that. Needle and thread,  probably for stitching wounds, you'll need someone significantly more nimble with their hands than I am for that to be any good. Pouch that reeks of bitter herbs, probably medicinal... a roll of bandage, my megastone... good to know where it got to... Why the devil did she give me a Fire Stone? I can't use it. A journal of some kind and..." Reiru froze as she saw the painfully white stone, the size of her closed fist, nestled in the bottom.  "So that's where that went..." she muttered,  and pulled out the journal, to give it to Fleur.  "Will that do for noting down what we know about Keira? My name's Reiru by the way. I did tell you earlier, but it was a bit chaotic, so I don't mind that you forgot."
 "Yeah, seriously..." Nova said to Sixx, opening her jaws in a loud dog-like yawn, finished my a high pitch whine. "It doesn't look like there's too much time left to sleep though. Hopefully since the boss is out cold, nobody will be around to make us wake up early in the morning." She rested her head on her paws, and hear her stomach rumble. She hasn't eaten since the morning that they got to the lab, and despite filling herself up as much as she could, she was undeniably incredibly hungry. She eyed an oran berry on the other side of the room. I'll take it if it's still there in the morning, she thought. She hated the taste of berries, but she wasn't prepared to make a journey on an empty stomach in the morning.
 She had gone days at time without eating or drinking though, so Nova knew she could make it through the night without any meat in her system.
"Oh, so you're Reiru...." Fleur said. She thought of all the stuff that Keira had said, some positive, some negative. However, the biggest one was how Reiru had nursed her back to health right before the first journey began. "I've heard a lot about you. Anyways, yeah, that'll work." The buizel took the journal and started writing the information about Keira down in it, and in a hurry, so Keira didn't notice. She finished and put the original copy back in Keira's bag. The fox slept soundly, so it was easy to slip back in. On her way back, her ankle twisted and she fell over, swearing under her breath and aggravating her leg injury. Fleur stood back up and hobbled over to her little camp and handed the other journal to Reiru, also taking the sewing needle and sterile thread, then she went back to where she was and tried not to cry out in pain, she was still injured from the ambush. "I think we should sleep, it's getting late." she said, going to check on her friend.
Meanwhile, Keira had just woken up enough to be partially alert, but not fully. Fleur went down and muttered somethings under her breath, then handed something to Reiru. The ninetales quietly used pain split to help heal her friend's leg a little bit and quickly hushed up as soon as Fleur went back towards her.
Fleur suddenly felt as if she could walk a bit better, she walked over to her friend, checking her over and deciding that she would be fine soon. The buizel  then laid down next to her friend, quickly starting to fall asleep. Keira wrapped her tails loosely around the buizel to cover her, a bit like a blanket and she too started to fall back asleep.
((Hey guys, mind if we timeskip to the morning? If you don't next post can be the skip if that person wants. And remember, dead d-day pokemon are food too!  :yeswink:))
Since the others would require rest, SCRAP decided to return to his duties as guard.
"[Elaboration] While you all rest, I will gua-guard. If a threat is detected, I can *fzzt*."
"Initiating Recovery Mode. Recovery in: TWO *crackle*" SCRAP began humming quietly and a soft blue light eminated from his body, though it wasn't bright enough to hinder rest. Recovery Mode, when used in a non-intensive situation, could be run in the background allowing for other programs to be run while healing. In this case, SCRAP chose to send a message to his creators. His voice was quiet now.
 The sun was rising in the distance, and Nova set out into the forest. She knew that it was dangerous to be out -- she had whispered to Sixx that she was going to get something to eat, but she wasn't sure if he was awake. Probably not. All that Nova new was her stomach felt like it was eating itself, and her mouth was bone dry with dehydration. She listened for sounds of movement, while also keeping watch for anyone that may attempt to attack her from behind.
 The birds were so silent. That was one thing that Nova missed dearly from her childhood. Bird pokemon calling out to eachother in a constant superiority contest. She used to imitate a Fearow's call just to scare them all into silence. However, while Nova once regarded silence as golden, it was more difficult to think that way when the silence was due to massive death.
 She piqued her head up towards the sound of a twig snapping. A small noise, the pokemon wasn't that heavy. Her heart beat with anticipation. She began to slowly trot towards the distant noise, avoiding any stray object on the ground that could cause noise. As she got closer, she could pinpoint the scent. While she couldn't quite identify the pokemon, it definitely had that disgusting, rotting Doomsday smell to it. Nova crept closer, putting her head down lower to ensure that she wouldn't be sighted by her prey.
 It came into sight, and it was a Doomsday Delcatty. Not her normal fare, but Nova was starving. And anyways, a Delcatty was a decent size. Everyone could have some. Nova tried to stop herself from salivating, but the prospect of eating was just too exciting. Nova readied her jaws, because it wasn't going to be an easy pokemon to take down.
 She leaped forward, and landed on top of the Delcatty. It let out a shriek as Nova's weight and jaws slammed onto its body, and eventually it fell over under Nova's heavier weight. Within seconds, Nova had overpowered it, and it was time to bring her prize back to the camp. She grabbed the Delcatty by the scruff, and attempted to carry it, keeping her head up as high as possible. It was rather difficult, but luckily she had remained fairly close to the camp in case an emergency had occurred on her hunting trip.
 Nova arrived at the entrance of the cave, and dropped the Delcatty close to the fire she had fallen asleep at. A bit too hungry to share, Nova got to work eating the Delcatty. They could eat when they woke up.
Morning came. It was more midday when Fleur woke up covered by some sort of fur. She soon realized that it was Keira's tails, because she saw the flower, which was only a light shade of gray. The buizel sighed in relief as she pulled herself out. The leg was stiff, but usable. Nova was gone from the cave. Hunting i'd guess. Fleur took her knives and walked out, scouting ahead. It seemed as if there was a river nearby, but there was a bridge to cross, then the boat to get to Johto wasn't too terribly far from that.
Fleur started back when a small flock of about 5-10 d-day tailow were eating near the cave. Looks like we're going to have a feast. Feathers flied, agonizing squawks were silenced and the buizel slashed with her knives and ran with quick attack in a blinding rush. A few got away, but about 6 were dead. She tugged them back to the cave and set them in the middle. Nova was digging into the delcatty that she seemed to have snagged. "Well, looks like we have a small feast." she said, putting the bodies of the tailow down on the cave floor. "We'll get moving once everyone's up and moving." she said flicking a knife to tear open the belly of a pidgey.
((This is gonna go a bit back for Keira, so it may be a bit confusing))
Keira woke up when she heard squawking, more like jumped up. She regretted that, because her body was stiff still. Wait, Fleur left. Knowing that her friend would be back soon, she started looking into her medicine bag. The cure, a shiny purple liquid in a vial was still safe. She had taken the utmost care taking every precaution to protect it. There was another vial, it was a dark blue and marked Chesto Berry Juice, she opened it and took a few drops, and it energized her. As Keira finished reorganizing, Fleur came back into the cave with half a dozen pidgey. She stretched out and went over, Nova had bagged a delcatty. Keira yawned a bit.
"Nice to see you up sleepyhead." Fleur teased. "Next time you want to kill yourself, ask me first." Keira playfully hit her with one of her paws. "Duly noted." she went to the other side of the delcatty and took some of the blood into an empty vial. "Why are you doing that?" Fleur asked, confused. The fox answered her friend: "I saw Abraham in a dream add the blood of a d-day pokemon into the cure, so i'm getting some for later. Plus I want to know if there's anything else useful of it." Fleur was skeptical but left her friend to do so. Keira but the vial aside and starts to eat a bit of the delcatty.
Sixx yawned, rolling over and cracking open his eyes. There was movement in the cave now, and in a few moments he deduced that it was indeed morning. Vaguely, he recalled Nova moving past him earlier and possibly mentioning something about going out, but that had been when he was still in a state of twilight sleep, and he'd almost assumed he'd just dreamed it. But no, he could see the Houndoom was here, gnawing away at some meat that appeared to have once been a Delcatty. He snuffed, pushing himself up onto his hindquarters and shaking out his massive head fluff.
He glanced over at Patrick, and smiled a little as he saw the Sylveon still curled up, snoozing away. Sixx then looked around the rest of the cave, and almost audibly sighed with relief as he spied Keira up and moving, looking much less battered than the day before. He slowly pushed himself up, heading over to where she and Nova were indulging in the fallen Delcatty.
"Ah...Keira," he said as he approached, waving a bit. He licked his lips, his mangled ear twitching a little, "It's..it's good to see you up. How are you feeling?" Feeling his nerves prickling up again, he reached over to snap up one of the Taillow Fleur had brought in, quietly ducking his snout and tearing into the tender bird meat. He cut his eyes up and watched Keira, hoping for a positive response from the Ninetales.
Fleur started eating the meat from the pidgey, and after a few days without meat for her, it tasted like it was of the finest quality. Obviously it wasn't but it was the first she had eaten in a while, so she didn't really care. It took a lot of willpower to maintain composure while she ate instead of eating like a savage. Keira was just about to start on the delcatty when Sixx started talking to her, she spoke, "Good enough." she started eating at last.
((Mainly to keep it going, everyone needs to wake up before we start to travel))
"If you receive this message, please respond." SCRAP continued. For most of the night, while the others slept, he continued sending his messages to the Mossdeep Space Center. He also Recover-ed himself, taking the long hours of nothing eventful to repair his damage slowly as to limit the use of his energy.
"Respond if you are there."
He, unlike the living being around him, didn't draw from biological matter to remain functional. He could use berries, fruit, and other energy-storing foods to refill Potions and the like though. As long as he didn't run at full power for excessive periods, his systems could remain functional for a long time with small periods of rest.
"This is SCRAP calling Mossdeep Space Center, do you copy?"
The others were waking up and some had begun eating Pokémon they hunted down. SCRAP found it strange that they would so readily consume the meat of Pokémon who were tainted with a disease that caused rabies-like symptoms, but he deduced that they had feed before on the meat and found no ill effects.
"Awaiting response…"
A thought popped into his head: he would need a decontamination shower upon arriving at MSC. A space virus on Earth. At the Mossdeep Space Center no less. How illogical.
((Let's give this a kick in the pants))
As the rest of the travelers started waking and eating their fill, save SCRAP, who doesn't "eat" in the nonrobotical sense of the word, Fleur started thinking. "Hey, i'll be back in a minute." she says, starting to gather the remains of what was eaten already and taking them into the woods to bury. The smell of the kills might attract unwanted guests, and after last night, that wasn't a good idea. She quickly finished and looked up, about to turn back when she heard a rustling, then woooooosh.
A knife zooms inches from her head and into a tree behind her.
A blue flash emitted from in front of her, the color was an intense blue, but the flash itself was light. The buizel swore under her breath. "Great, him.... Fleur took the knife out, the handle came out, but the blade was stuck in the tree. She groaned and then just chucked the handle back, starting to run off quickly, back to the cave. The buizel barely reached the mouth before saying, in between panting breaths. "Blue flash, knife user, likely wants cure. We need to go, now. empathizing now. Keira groans, "Him again....." she stands, going over to her bag and moving the strap over her shoulder. "Wait a second...." she says, Fleur looks a bit worried. "It almost feels as if it was tampered with. Fleur's heart skips a beat. "What am I saying? I don't have time for this!" Fleur breathes an almost audible sigh of relief, glad that Keira didn't think more in depth about it. She was right, they didn't have time to think about it.
"What's going on?" Nova asked, taking her jaws off of a bone that she had been gnawing on. She assumed this was that Lucario that Keira disliked, and the one who wanted to take the cure from them. I wish he would just back off... we got there first, so it's ours... she thought, getting up on all fours and walking over to Keira.
"A certain lucario that's against us, that's what." Keira growled, "Probably wants the cure or me, possibly both." Fleur was standing around, thinking about what to do. Suddenly, her eyes light up. "I've got it! Gimme that." She swipes the scarf tied around Keira's head like a bandanna from her head. "Ey! What are you doing?" Fleur shushes her and ties it around her own head quickly. "A diversion. A small party of you and a couple others stay here while the rest of us run for what's left of the woods. He'll see the scarf and think we killed you, or something like that. He'll pursue, then the small party will head for the bridge and cross and hide along the rocks there until the rest of us get there." Keira seems confused and asks, "How do you know there is a bridge and rocks ahead?" Fleur hastily replies, "It's the way we came and I scouted ahead, now get back and lay low! Whoever's staying stay, the rest follow me!" She bolts out of the and past the lucario, who obviously seemed confused. Keira was about to object, but stayed quiet and ducked towards the back.
((I am so sorry for holding you all up. I did intend to reply earlier, but... I'm sorry))
The Anorith woke to the sound of the others going about their morning business. His injuries had completely healed overnight, to his surprise. He noticed a few of the others had caught something to eat. It smelled like the pokemon that attacked the group last night. Was it even safe to eat? The others seemed fine. He wasn't feeling too hungry, but, with the way things have been going, he didn't know when the next chance he'd get to eat would be. He cut off a small piece of the whatever-it-was to eat.
After the chaotic events of the previous night, it was nice to have some time to relax. However, it didn't last long. He looked around at the others, desperately trying to figure out what was going on. Fleur ran out, he scurried forward slightly. Keira walked back, he turned and returned to his first spot. Soon he just ran behind the nearest rock, close to a wall. He peeked out to watch the other, still hoping to get some idea what's happening.
"Well I mean..." Nova said quietly during Fleur and Kiera's discourse, as they tried to figure out how to ditch the Lucario. She hoped that he'd get the hint with just the scarf... they were potentially leaving Keira in a situation where she'd be in danger. She looked down at the bones of the Delcatty. Maybe I could get the thigh bone. Then maybe he'd know. Or, well, maybe that's not much of a better hint.
Fleur dashed off, and Nova quickly tried to think of a plan. She came to a conclusion, and then ran out of the cave after Fleur. She could definitely smell a steel type, who was no doubt the lucario that had been giving them a lot of trouble. She saw him looking rather confused by some trees in the woods. "You're one step behind!" Nova yelled to him tauntingly, and skidding herself into a stop. She turned herself to face Ryu. "Between us, Kiera was a waste of resources. We picked her off in the forest last night. But, don't worry for the fate of the world. She served her purpose by getting us the cure. I suggest you find somebody new to stalk."
Fleur kept running, slowing down just enough to hear Nova and mentally facepalming. She had definitely gotten his attention, and the lucario was obviously enraged by this, but also hurt. He said, "Fine, then i'll avenge her. Starting with the buizel." "Gotta catch me first~" Fleur says, taking off. The lucario started off after the two and the three vanished into the forest.
Keira casts out her senses to see the scene unfold with extrasensory and sighs, eventually cutting the link. "That's one way to go I suppose." She then looks at the ones that stay, "Hope you all are ready to run at a moments notice. Oh! And if anyone knows how I could disguise myself, that would be a huge help."
Sixx stood up to his full height, listening as Fluer explained her plan of splitting up into small groups. He watched the Buizel take off out of the cave, and saw Nova quickly move to follow her out. He sighed and scratched his mangled ear. "Patrick," he called, "I'm going out with them, stay back here with Keira and all that." he glanced at his Sylveon brother, "You know...could be dangerous out there. We'll meet back up later."
"Oh, that's no problem!" Patrick chirruped back. He turned his head to watch his Anorith pal skitter behind one of the cave's many rocks, "Besides, my buddies are still here! I can keep an eye on them! it'll be fine!" he waved with one of his feelers and Sixx nodded uneasily, before getting down on all fours and shooting out of the cave after Fluer and Nova.
When Keira spoke up about the potential to leave at a moment's notice, Patrick blinked over at her, "Well, that shouldn't be too hard." He heard her mull over ideas for disguising herself, "Hmm...now that's a toughie!"  He tilted his head and examined the Ninetales. Finally, he made a soft thoughtful snuff, "Maybe if you roll around in some mud it'll hide your pretty gold color! And make you...not smell like you, so you won't be as easily traced! Huh?"
Sixx, meanwhile, tore out of the cave and managed to spy Nova and Fluer heading off into the forest, the Lucario they were trying to shake fast on their tails. "Aw man," he mumbled, getting down into a running position again and taking off, Maybe if I get to the woods quickly I can throw up some illusions...disorient the Lucario...hmm...
Nova flew on her feet, but she wasn't too afraid of the Lucario. After all, all she needed to do was throw some fire type attacks at him and she'd be set. To start, she opened her mouth, and a tiny ball of fire began to grow in her mouth. It turned from orange, to red, to white. She allowed to to sit in her mouth for a few more moments, until it turned blue. She then turned her head back, and fired the Will-o-Wisp at the opposing Lucario.
The others were acting quickly in fear of some attacker. A "Lukerio", according to the Ninetails. Unfortunately, SCRAP had no data on this Pokémon. As such, he couldn't devise a plan of attack should the situation arise. The group decided to lay a fake clue and to scatter with the aim to throw the attacker off the trail. It seemed illogical: creatures that were often prey would tend to stay in large numbers to overpower lone attackers. Their experience with this newcomer, the "Lukerio" would have to serve them well.
Keira, the Ninetails, asked about camoflauge. SCRAP approached the Keira.
"[Explanation] I am equipped with technology allowing myself to change outward appearences and textures. [Regretful] I can alter myself, but not you unfortunately. [Encouraging] If you remain still, you can hide behind me. I can do nothing regarding your odor, as the pink creature mentioned."
((Please note that I might have slight control over Nova in order to keep this moving. Kypna gave me perms for this))
Keira looked at SCRAP, then answered "Thanks for the offer." as she went to cover her most defining features in mud. The flower could be hidden by SCRAP, as she didn't want to get mud on that. When she finished, she gave her suggestion, "Alright, let's get a move on. I'd rather get out of here when we can."
Fleur, meanwhile, was scaling a tree, waiting for them to run by so that she could down the lucario to give them a little bit of time to get away from him. She held a knife in one hand and had an ice punch ready on the other when she steadied herself on a branch, waiting for Nova to run by, leading their right into the trap. Right on cue, Nova ran by and the lucario after her, flinging aura spheres in her direction. Fleur let herself fall, right at the lucario. It sensed her. It grabbed her leg, leaving her surprised. "Nova! A little help here! The lucario says "Don't think she's going to help you now." It takes the knife from her and drops her on the ground. "Alright, I guess you're first, now pick the way you die." I hope she gets over here, I don't feel like dying today.
 Nova turned around, and saw that whatever Fleur was planning to do, didn't turn out all that well. The Lucario had her pinned now. Nova panicked a bit. She considered a physical attack for a moment, but what if he was going to pull a knife and force her to stab herself? But a fiery attack may splash onto Fleur, and hurt her.
 I have to make a choice now, she thought, preparing to shoot the fire from her mouth. She ran forward a bit to close the distance between her and Ryu, and unleashed her flamethrower.
Fleur watched this course of events and watches as the attack flares towards them and grins. The lucario's body would take most of it since it had her pinned. Suddenly, it jumped away, leaving her unprotected and to take the full impact of the attack. Luckily she was a water type, or that would've really hurt. Fleur twitches and grinds her teeth as she endures the attack. The lucario laughs at this and taunts them, "Nice try, you almost had me. Gotta be quicker than that."
Fleur springs up, slightly slower than what she was, and delivers a sharp kick to the face that the lucario blocks with its arm. She lands, and the knife comes flying at her, and she stumbles out of the way just barely. It was aimed at her heart.
"I can't beat this guy with speed alone!" yells Fleur. "What do you suggest?" The lucario pipes up, "You to sit down and take your deaths now. I'll make it quick." Fleur scowls, "I'd rather take Keira on after you make her mad. Oh wait! She's dead!" The lucario surprisingly keeps its composure, "Fine, the hard way. As it should be, ladies first." It motions for them to charge.
As soon as he was done motioning for them to charge, Nova instead opened up her mouth, and belted another line of fire at the Lucario, ignoring his invitation for physical combat. I didn't make it this far for this crazy Lucario to stop me!
"Engaging camoflauge" SCRAP chimed. He scanned the surrounding area and changed his body shape and texture to provide a large surface to better hide the Ninetails. She then suggested they "get a move on", which SCRAP understood to mean she wanted the remaining Pokémon in this cave to move to a different location. They were all at optimal operating capacity and could combat opponents should the situation arise. However, with unknown variables to consider in facing any number of hypothetical opponents the decision was a difficult one to make with certainty.
"[Request] Define 'Lukerio', the hypothetical attacker."
((Omg, I'm so sorry guys. Life got a bit hectic and I've been meaning to post here, but haven't had the time. I'll make this post and if you want to continue, we will))
Fleur watched as the lucario swiftly dodged and they sized each other up. It throws and aura sphere at Fleur and she slips, it barely missing a direct hit to the head. "Oi! Get a better aim!" taunts the buizel, and she charges, ice punch in hand, ready to strike.
Meanwhile, Keira's mind is trying to come up with a quick description for SCRAP. She finally says, "A lucario is a tall, blue doglike creature capable of fighting and sensing others using aura. It's a fighting and steel pokemon, making it effective against Nova, you and Sixx due to fightnig type attacks, and Patrick and our insectlike friend because of steel typing. It's fast and powerful, so handle with extreme caution." The fox starts to run in the direction opposite of the lucario's trying to get to safety before i realized where she really was.
