Here are 6 of my favourite starters if none of them are your favourite don't worry I added other. ;D

I like Bulbasaur and Squirtle.

My favorite is Mudkip.

Charmander, then again I usually always pick fire types.

I love Mudkip..

I like them all but I'll list my favorites by region: Charmander, Totodile, Torchic, Piplup, and Snivy. I think their final evolutions look the best in each Gen starters although I also love the way Typhlosion, Venusaur, Blastoise, Sceptile, Swampert, Infernape, Samurott and Torterra look. Megnarium and Emboar are all right but don't really look as cool as the others do in my opinion.

mostly, i really don't like starters...hitokage, fushigidane, zenigame, hinoarashi, chikorita, waninoko, achamo, kimori, mizugorou, naetle, pochama, hikozaru, tsutarja, pokabu,mijumaru and these three new starters fokko, harimaron, keromitsu......


its better for me to start my journey with my own favourite pokemon as my partner....

Mis favorites by generation.
1st gen: Charmander.
2nd gen: Totodile.
3rd gen: Mudkip.
4th gen: Turtwig.
5th gen: Snivy.
6th gen: Fennekin.

I think I see a pattern here. Fire, Water, Water, Grass, Grass, Fire.
Strange, isn't it?

Gens:
1. Charmander
2. Chikorita
3. Treecko
4. Turtwig
5. None of them, all horrible
6. Must say Fennekin... but I doesn't like it so much.

Favorite: Charmander and Chikorita... I hate how this great grass type is underrated.

Gen one - I like Charmander it was a tough choice I chose Squirtlee
Gen two - Chikorita and Cyndaquil are both awesome, but Totodile was my v.first pokemon.
Gen three - Mudkip, I just really like. Torchic and Treeko are lovely though. I completed the game with Torchic, actually.
Gen four - Turtwig just kicks the others in the butt in awesomeness.
Gen five - All of them are really cute and adorable. I've tried out Oshawott and Snivy and would love to give Tepig a go too, but haven't. Snivy wins on the basis it's badass as hell.
Gen six - I like them all, but Chespin won me instantly watching the trailer. I was like "Yeah, chespin."

Torchic, obviously. But per generation, it goes:

1. Charmander
2. Cyndaquil
3. Torchic
4. Piplup
5. Snivy
6. Undecided. Leaning towards Fennekin, but I'll need to see the final evos before I can make that decision. I hope his evolutions are Fire/Psychic.

Gen 1: Squirtle
Gen 2: Totodile
Gen 3: Mudkip
Gen 4: Turtwig
Gen 5: Tepig
Gen 6: Haven't picked

I tend to prefer the water starters, with Mudkip being the overall favorite of course.

I always pick either a fire type or a water type starter but i tend to lean more toward the fire type. Charmander and Tepig are my Favorite.

Kanto: Squirtle and kin. I love every member in the line pretty much equally.
Johto: Totodile and Feraligatr. Croconaw's okay, too, it's just kind of the awkward middle child. Cyndaquil's a favorite of mine thanks to Explorers of Darkness, but I don't care so much for the rest of its line.
Hoenn: Blaziken. I don't regret my choice with Swampert back in Sapphire, but there's really no contest against a kung-fu chicken.
Sinnoh: Piplup and Empoleon, though mostly just Empoleon. Though Chimchar is kinda cute and Grotle is pretty boss.
Unova: Oshawott itself gave me a weird first impression, but its entire line grew on me over time. I really like the Tepig line, too.
Gen 6's starters: I have high hopes for Froakie. It had me at "Hello".

Gen 1: Squirtle
Gen 2: Cyndaquil
Gen 3: Torchic
Gen 4: Piplup
Gen 5: Snivy
Gen 6: Fennekin


Very first Pokemon I ever chose back in gen 1 Pokemon Blue Bersion was Squirtle. This will never change. I know everyone loves Charizard and it's almost impossible not to but Squirtle will always be my favorite gen 1 starter.

As for gen 2, I had Pokemon Gold Version. Of course I chose Cyndaquil because it looked cool. I kept it in my party all the way to the Elite Four and it treated me well.

Gen 3 was tough for me. I never chose grass starters because I don't like them much so I had to chose between Mudkip and Torchic. There was a lot of hype going around about Mudkip but with my Pokemon Ruby version I decided to stick with Torchic. (Though this changed to Mudkip once I got Sapphire, years later.)

Now I haven't really gotten a chance to play Gen 4 all that much because I don't have D/P/PL on the DS so I was forced to use an emulator (which run incredibly slow). I've played up to the first gym and the starter I chose was Piplup. The reason I did so was because the other starters looked kind of iffy and as I said before, I don't do grass types. (I eventually abandoned Piplup for a flying type)

Like gen 4, I haven't really gotten into gen 5. I'm sort of an old school Pokemon fan. But if I had to chose from the starters I'd go with Snivy. The third evolution is so amazing looking and I don't see how I could chose any other Pokemon. I know that choosing Pokemon on looks alone is a dumb thing to do but when you get a new Pokemon game that you know nothing about, The type and aesthetics are all you really have.

Gen 6 isn't out yet of course, however the change from fire/fighting has me super excited. I'm going with Fennekin all the way. I've heard rumors about it being fire/psychic but just plain old fire would do it for me.

By region mine are (starter/fully evolved starter)
Kanto: Bulbasaur/Charizard
Johto: Chikorita/Meganium
Hoenn: Torchic/Sceptile
Sinnoh: Piplup/Empoleon (but Grotle is the best of all stages)
Unova: Tepig/none (I hate them all fully evolved)
Gen 6: Fennekin

lol, you forgot more than half of the starters, but whatever. Mudkip is clearly my favourite, and he will always be. The swampert line is soo cool

1st gen: Charmander
2nd gen: Cyndaquil
3rd gen: Mudkip
4th gen: Turtwig
5th gen: Oshawott
6th gen: Fennekin or Froakie... I haven't decided, I've gotta... play with them first.

Eh, everyone's entitled to their opinions, but for me, I'll take a cuddly Torchic over a buttfiresquigglehead any day. :3

Blaziken just wants to be a Garudamon.

Bulbasaur, Totodile, Treecko, Chimchar and Oshawott are my absolute favourites, but I still like Squirtle, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Piplup and Snivy. I only really dislike Torchic and Tepig's evolutionary lines.

I never said she couldn't like infernape. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but I don't hate it. Although, there are a lot of blaziken lovers on this site. It's quite clear that Blaziken is dominant, I can easily see this I haven't even been on here very long. Not all the blaziken fans may be quite as easy going with an infernape fan as you are. There typically seems to be a few people who get angry with someone who likes something different than them, such as an infernape over blaziken fan.

Haha, you definitely haven't been here long. I hate Infernape with a passion unrivaled by any other living being in the universe, and I'm sure most members here can attest to that, but I was just being nice.

Yeah, I can attest, but I'm next in line for hating infernape the most and loving blaziken the most.

Out of the Gen 6 starters, Fennekin is my favorite. I like how it is a fox and yet is very different from Vulpix. It has a different feel to it and doesn't scream rip off like Plusle and Minun had with Pikachu.

I really love Totodile, I don't know why, I even love its last evolution. I just want to hug it till it starts biting me!!  :)
