Title: Sprite off [Round 3! Vote for round 2's winners]
Post by: SirBlaziken on September 22, 2013, 22:46
Hi! I'm ShinyBlaziken2000. I'd like to run a sprite contest. Like Mark's, to prevent voting bias, PM the sprite to me. After a few days, a poll will go up and you vote for your favorites. Then I'll announce the results and the next round will start (if there's enough interest.). I myself will not vote, since I know which one is which. Each round will last 3 days. Also, like Mark's contest, there will be a judge's favorite award for each round. You can vote for yourself.

Any Questions? Ask here!

Round 1: Aviary
Mix 2 pokemon together, one with wings and one without, must include wings. Either base.

Winner: (http://i.imgur.com/w2JPM5r.gif) Sebastian Moran
Judge's pick: (http://s6.postimg.org/tiek2bvz1/Sharzel_v1.png) Dragonofthedepths

Round 2: Contrast
Mix or recolor (in the case of two, if you'd rather do, for example, recolor a grass type to be an ice type) at least 2 pokemon together with at least one being weak to another, if more than two, a cycle must be completed.

Ex for 2: Fuse a fire and a ground
Ex for 3: Fuse a electric, a water and a ground type together
Ex for 4: Fuse a a fighting, a flying, an ice and a steel type together

Winner: Sebastion Moran (http://i.imgur.com/bNwK6Al.gif)
Judge's Pick: Salado (http://s12.postimg.org/3n2axxuyx/Arbok_Torchic_Snivy_Alakazam.png)

Round 3: 1-3 recolor
This round is easier. Just take any pokemon form gen 1-3 and recolor it with another pokemon from gens 1-3 (Modern poses are permitted)
Winner: Sebastian Moran (http://i.imgur.com/rEl5SXo.gif)
Judge's pick: BronySpriter (http://s9.postimg.org/per8ghsfv/sentraros.png)

Round 4: Recolor Dragon
Take any dragon type and recolor it with another pokemon's colors. Easy.

Alright, the pole will go up, Round two will be up in a bit. For nonspriters, you can discuss the sprites here!

Some interesting entries to say the least. They all look weird individually, and even more odd together.

EDIT: If you mean retype then it isn't a recolor, unless it is acceptable to simply recolor a brelloom blue and white and call it a retype.

No, I mean that for example, haxorus is weak to Glalie's type, recolor haxorus using glalie's colors. A re-type is fine, though.

By modern poses, you mean gen 4/5 sprites, right?

Yes. However, poses from gens 1-3 are also allowed.

No they don't. It said another pokemon from gens 1-3, it means an abra could get the colors of a lotad.
