Title: Masuda Method Breeding!
Post by: quack98 on October 22, 2013, 19:25
Hey, everyone seems to have come to the consensus that shininess this generation can still be acheived by masuda method, but no one seems to know how much exactly.

This is where we come in.

Everyone who masuda methods something can post how many eggs it took, so we can take an average. I'm currently masuda breeding mareep, so as soon as it works I'll put that up, but if anyone else gets one, please just post the amount of eggs it took!

It'd pretty cool for PKMN.net to have its own masuda method chance thing that has been worked out on this site! ^_^

You could've posted this in the shiny Pokemon thread though.

I'm MMing Clauncher right now, I'll update when it shines.

Yeah, I didn't really want to hijack a thread though xD

And it's a different enough thing to warrant another thread, I think  :-/

Pretty simple, don't worry. It's just have a mother and father 'mon from different countries and breed them. That makes the offspring have (in BW) 8 times the chance of being shiny, but this was only 5 times in DPPt, so it may have gone up again.

I got a Charmander last week in 18 eggs, Today I have been trying to get Aerodactyl, Im on 220 eggs and counting. I'm using the very same Jap ditto, only difference Is this time I gave the father Aerodactyl and everstone to ensure the hatchlings have an adamant nature.
