What nicknames have you given your Pokemon? I'm planning out my team right now and I'm going with a music theme!

Talonflame - Rouge (male)
Comes from the Loveable Rogues, who I am a big fan of ;D

Mawile - Lorde (female)
Mawile is a fairy, but I have a feeling that she is a bit evil as well, which is the impression I get from Lorde. I have a feeling she's got a darker side which sometimes shows in her music.

Malamar - Nizlopi (male)
Malamar is an awesome Pokemon, but the typing is a bit strange. I wanted a name that reflected that in some way, and Nizlopi sounds equally cool and weird.

Blastoise - Bastille (male)
Bastille kind of sounds like Blastoise and I think it suits it. The 'stille' part reminds me of cannons for some reason too  :o

Gogoat - Lilygreen (male)
I listen to a lot of Lilygreen and Maguire and Lilygreen is my favourite singer from the duo. Lilygreen also suits Gogoat as it is a Grass type.

Mamoswine - McBusted
Okay, so I'm actually so excited that McFly and Busted are getting together, so I couldn't resist not naming one of my Pokemon McBusted! Mamoswine is a massive Pokemon, and McFly and Busted were both MASSIVE back in their day, so it just seems to fit  ^.^

My team (to be) have a Mythological Gods theme.

Heliolisk - Ra
Hydreigon - Iris
Typhlosion - Vulcan
Skarmory - Alecto
Alakazam - Odin
Dragalge - Mars

Alakazam - Houdini
Hydreigon - I eat babies
Scrafty - Zeke
Chesnaught - Bombshell
Gengar - Oh crap he (Oh crap he used Shadow Ball! Yay for joke names.)
Garchomp - Reaper

I nickname /everything/. This game does not have a theme, although I may have to have a game with egypt as a theme... or an eventual team. My current team, however is:

Winnie - Crobat (A standard name on any of my teams)
Gary - Venusaur
Blaziken (because event. Boooo)
Skye - Lapras
Robin - Delphox
Lucy - Granbull

This is my second time I did a theme team.  The first time was in Black.  I nicknamed everyone off of Mega Man characters in that game.

This time it was Fire Emblem Awakening characters!

Greninja - Lon'qu (the closest thing to a ninja in both Pokemon and Fire Emblem)
Pidgeot - Stahl (Average flying type named after a character that was described by another as "Totally Average in all ways")
Raichu - Mariabelle (I caught a female Pikachu and decided to name it after the blonde troubadour since both CAN cast lightning...)
Blastoise - Kellam (Blastoise is a tank.  So is Kellam)
Florges - Sumia (Sumia does all sorts of flower petal fortunes so she gets associated with the Pokemon always holding a flower)
Aegislash - Chrom (Really, I named it after Chrom because they both wield swords in battle and I wanted someone to be named after the main character...)

I like to nickname everything, even stuff I'll never use.

Like I thought calling Espurr "Mystic Mog" was the funniest thing ever, even though I don't like Espurr at all...

My nicknames are puns on celebrity names, play on words or phrases, and Egg moves or the forme or color.

my nicknames are bloody awful, like leonardo the squirtle (NINJA TURTLE REFERENCE WOOO)...

that's what I was going to name mine.... but I chose SpinDr instead.

I actually made a really crappy TMNT team (mostly because a lot of the guys are strictly NU)

I named a male Jigglypuff Iggy Puff. Also named my Throh Up as a joke.

I nicknamed my Klefki, Lowkey. You know Lowkey? The Trickster God? I can see you were so confused because he's real...low key. :unsure:

Waffles the Greninja: What can I say? I had a craving for waffles when I chose my starter xD
Maurice the Charizard: Dunno, just liked the name Maurice, especially for a Charmeleon.
Mustard the Zygarde: It's a freakin' legendary, so I wanted to name it something cutesy
Sweetheart the Lucario: I have a soft spot for dogs, okay? XD

Poke-transporter has changed so many of my Pokemon's nicknames that it just makes me  >:(

My team's names are sorta random but I enjoy them *This is soulsilver and heartgold* *Team is a work in progress, only have 6 badges and 24 hours of play*
Togetic = Chop Suey cause I like it
Flameon = Ying because when I look it's sprite I feel like curvy yet rugged shape I see in the more detailed ying and yang drawings
Feraligator = Silento because of two reasons the black around his eyes reminds me of nighttime which during this Christmas reminds me of SILENT night and he is a second gen poke coming right behind squirtle, and who can forget the badass sunglasses, and Silento might not incredibly badass but he will make for a memorable name.
Koffing = not sure just captured him, can you spare a suggestion for his name.

Makuhita - Wally ( he is fat and fat people shop at wal mart)

idk if you live in america but wal mart is one of those stores that has everything and is slowly causing small shops to close

Well the Wally thing works more because I know a lot of people at least in my area refer to Wal-Mart as "Wally World" for some reason.

And it's also worth mentioning wal-mart is full of some serious freaks of nature. If I had a foreign person with me, I'd take them there to see the worst that America has to offer.

Aurorus- North (Cause auroras are also known as the "Northern lights.")

Female Braixen- Foxy Love

Pikachu- Ling Ling

Vullaby- Pebbles (because of the bone bow)

Deoxys- one is Danger Zone, the other is DNA
