Before someone else does, allow me to guide you toward the Rules (http://pkmn.net/?action=content&page=viewpage&id=3304) - fairly easy to follow - if I'm honest I don't think I've read them fully yet, I just read the titles, but most are just common sense.
Anyway, I'm called Richard, but I prefer Dick, and I'm reasonably new myself (April this year, iirc)! Most people are really easy to talk to so I'm sure you'll have an awesome time ;)

Although most are fairly inactive/I've never heard them be refered to by their name - only really Richard and Blaziken that goes by his name and is active. I think...
Latias Tamer isn't really active these days, always used to be him and Richard and Blaziken online
