Title: The Japanese guy in the Battle Resort
Post by: Petzbreeder on November 28, 2014, 12:23
I'm sure you've noticed in the Battle Resort, there is a guy who speaks only in Japanese.

フム... みただけで わかるよ
キミは ただもの でわない トレーナーだ
そのうでを さらに みがいて せかい......
ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップスに
チャレンジする事を おススメするよ

I know what he is saying!

Hmm... with only one look, I can tell
You are not an ordinary person; you're a trainer.
I recommend you polish that skill even further and challenge the world... the  Pokemon World Championships.

I found out after I asked on Yahoo Answers yesterday.

Thanks for this, I was genuinely curious about what was being said. Odd that they make so many references to PWT. Seems to hint that it'll be coming back at some point.

What does he speak in the Japanese games? Is it English or another language?

I don't know, but considering the Looker missions with the Japanese text in X and Y are in English in all foreign games, I'm guessing its the same in OR/AS too.

Play it in another language and find out!  ;D

I'm becoming more pessimistic everyday about DLC for Pokemon games. I think they're talking about the real life Pokemon World Tournament. We e-sports now, bruh.
