Well, it's that time of the year and most people have at least one they love (or hate the least). Personally, my favorite is The Carol of the Bells by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. What's your favorite?
adam lay y'bounden, if it counts.
los campesinos - a doe to a deer
the pogues - fairytale of new york
fall out boy - yule shoot your eye out
idk some others but those are Top Tier
I work in a grocery store that plays Christmas music literally non-stop from mid-November to mid-January. As a result of 6 years of this, I hate Christmas music.
Shakin' Stevens- Merry Christmas Everyone
This just has everything you want from a Christmas song.
Does New Years Day by U2 count?
What about My December by Linkin Park?
Cliff Richard's version of Walking In The Air
Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody
We did it in our Christmas concert in year 6 and ever since, it has given me a sense of nostalgia. I remember the teacher telling my friend - at the time - to run on stage and scream "it's Christmas". Hmm.
cutting pink with knives - merry ******* christmas, you spineless ****

Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody
The absolute most annoying one of the lot. Even worse that Noddy Holder (the singer from Slade) is a Walsall lad so all of the local media's up his back passage between the end of November and Christmas.
I think the only one I could listen to all the time is Fairytale of New York.
They're playing Christmas songs ad nausem from in November now. Why? Start from about December 15th. That's more appropriate. "Oh, stop being such a Scrooge!" No. I won't. I know what time of year it is, I don't need to be reminded every five seconds. It's like dancing at a wedding: I participate because I feel I have to.

Is it the regular cheesy christmas carols like Frosty the Snowman and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree? If so, I honestly wouldn't blame you, I get enough of those in a month.
Yeah, in addition to crap like Santa Baby, Jingle Bells, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, etc. I get the bonus of 6 equally terrible versions sung by different people as well.
Winter Wonderland, probably (does it count?) I think Christmas music is annoying in general (maybe because I feel that it's nearly as mainstream as love songs), but winter wonderland is less about christmas than it is about winter beauty, so it's not so bad.
OH! To all of you complaining about bland Christmas music, here's a piece called Russian Christmas Music by Alfred Reed. I played it my senior year of high school and it is still as beautiful as I remember it five years ago.

Wish List - Neon Trees
New York Christmas - Rob Thomas
Fool's Holiday - All Time Low
Step Into Christmas - Elton John
a bunch of other ones too
i actually like a lot of Christmas songs?? But mostly non-classics or ones that never get played on mainstream radio stations.
really the only like 'classic' Christmas song I can listen to over and over is the Barenaked Ladies cover of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. mmmm
The original Band Aid song and War Is Over are honorable mentions. Tbh I've really gone off Christmas songs (and Christmas in general tbh) so yeah.
Might just listen to Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer instead =[
^I'm just saying that whoever wrote that song must've either hated their relatives or was a sadist. I mean who sings about old ladies being run over by animals controlled by mythical characters every day of the year?

I know this feeling too! I used to love Christmas songs but until you hear it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas about 20 times during your shift by 4 different singers it's not fun lmao.
Last Christmas by Wham, Merry Christmas Everybody by slade or Fairy tale of New York by the Pouges are probably the only few 'cheesy' songs i can stand now lol.
Frightened rabbits boxing night is good too.
I detest Christmas songs in general.
i prefer variations of x-mas music even if they end up being worse than the originals. i usually like remixes/parodies of 'here comes santa claus'. example:
Here comes Ganon-dorf,
Here comes Ganon-dorf,
Right down Ganon-dorf lane!
Fists and boots and spooky dark powers will smash you off the stage!
Fists a flyin',
Smashers dyin',
Everybody's puttin' up a fight!
So grab your Ikes and
PREPARE YOURSELF
'Cause Ganon-dorf's coming to-night!
