I tried to clone a Chespin earlier today but I can't seem to do it anymore.
If anyone is wondering, the Chespin had 31/31/31/0/31/31 IVs. I've been practicing IV breeding for when I play through the storyline of the games.
I've been reading on other forums that many other people have tried to clone and have failed like me.
Apparently, the 1.3 patch has something to do with it.
I know that I could just remove the patch on both the consoles I'm cloning with, but would I cause problems for my games if I did that?
I habitually never save in Lumiose city, except for when I'm inside a building.
Its annoying that I can't clone, especially since I know how to IV breed now. It would be nice to be able to clone my perfect Pokemon.
If cloning was still possible, i'd have Rich clone some blazikens/klefkis to give away as gifts to my friends. We found this out about a month ago, and it's a shame really.
Cloning with the latest X/Y patch *is* possible, but from my experience it's only with X/Y, and no OR/AS mixing. X/Y cloning is now much harder and more precise / possibly more luck based. It generally takes me about 45 minutes to clone one thing and it's not worth it most of the time.
