Title: The dragon problem
Post by: The name master on January 11, 2016, 16:36
Since I changed my username to the nickname dragon, people have been copying it bread is now the breaded dragon, sylar is now the sylar dragon. How many more? I wouldn't be surprised if captain Jigglypuff became the Jigglypuff dragon!

I see it as people taking the wee-wee.

Please STOP copying me and be yourselves! I preferred your old names!

I can imagine joeno becoming the joeno dragon!

Don't worry about it, I don't think anyone's trying to mock you personally, trends like this just happen sometimes. You weren't around for the eyelash trend that bread started. So many people jumped on that, it got to the point it got kinda obstructive in some cases. Besides, I always said this site needs more dragons, haha

If you're surrending you have to join the dragon clan. That's how surrending works, you give up fighting against it.

Captain Jigglypuff refuses to change his name! Worked hard to come up with something more unique and personal than other commonly used names.
Title: Re: The dragon problem
Post by: SirBlaziken on January 11, 2016, 23:02
I don't see a problem with the whole dragon thing. If I'm not mistaken, there was another name fad where everyone put AP| or AS| at the beginning of their names to raise awareness for something, can't remember what. I won't personally jump in, but i'm cool with it.

Take your head, bash it randomly on your keyboard a few good times and look at the screen. Whatever you typed has come up at least once, so in reality, nothing's really unique.

Better than adding Dragon to it though. I have never been one to follow the crowd unless it is about something that catches my attention and interest. For example I consider myself as one of the first Bronies during the late 80s before there was such a thing.

and the AS| fad was an "asperger's syndrome" pride thing, before the whole system was reworked into autism spectrum

i actually don't see that many usernames online with dragon

i do see more with jigglypuff
Title: Re: The dragon problem
Post by: Captain Jigglypuff on January 12, 2016, 01:41
Actually I have Asperger's but I never chose the AS| thing as a username. Didn't even know that was a thing. I just see it as being part of my personality but not letting it define who I am completely. This is why some things that seem odd or strange fascinate me. I am not trying to push buttons or cause trouble on purpose. I just don't believe that I should always say and do what others expect me to do if it isn't part of who I am as a person and it means giving up my individuality.

i don't see a connection with your post and mine either

the AS| fad was like a few months back in freaking 2005 or 2006 i don't know why people can't let that go

i've been here for like 12 years and i still don't even remember it happening, i just remember a fad where people put their initials for their original username then put their current nickname
Title: Re: The dragon problem
Post by: Captain Jigglypuff on January 12, 2016, 02:05
I don't see any connection between the threads. All I said is that I mainly like to do my own thing and that I usually don't follow the crowd. Playing Pokemon is pretty much the only thing I ever tried and got into because everyone else was doing it. I never got into The Lord of the Rings, Twilight, or Hunger Games craze and I was a fan of MLP long before it was cool for guys to like it. I don't follow fashion trends nor do I care about fashion. The only type of clothes I hate are almost anything with plaid on it with a few exceptions.
