One of the many new features of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire is the PokeNavigator. This is an upgraded version of the PokeGear in Gold/Silver/Crystal. There's the usual map but what really intrigues people is the Trainer Eye.

In order to be a successful Pokemon Trainer, you must have battled and trained against many different types of trainers. Remember back in Red/Blue/Yellow where there were only a handful of different trainers and it was quite easy to figure out what Pokemon countered theirs? Well, R/S introduces a brand new challenge. Many new trainers have been added and genders have been given to the new trainers. For example, in R/B/Y, only the Cooltrainers were given genders. They added this feature to the Swimmers and Campers/Picnickers in G/S/C. Now, just about every trainer has been split into two different trainers, a female one and a male one. Floater Boys and Floater Girls, male Psychics and female Psychic, male Students and female Students. Well, you get the point.

Special 2 on 2 battles have been introduced in Pokemon R/S. Many of the trainers recorded in your Trainer Eye will send out two Pokemon at a time. What's a trainer to do other than counter with two of his/her own? You may notice that you're missing a trainer even though you've just finished battling him/her. Not every trainer will be recorded. Only those in the following list will have their names in your Trainer Eye. There is a total of 70 different trainers but only 69 of them have been discovered. Even in Japan, where the Pokemon rave is bigger than the rest of the world, no one has yet found this mysterious and elusive trainer. However, it is rumored that he is a Boarder with the Pokemon Rozeria. No evidence has been found so we'll just have to wait for some genius to find him. You're not actually reading this, are you?
