This is just a basic guide as to where to find everything, and what you can expect to find in all of Hoenn's Town and Cities.

Littleroot Town

Places of Interest- Your Home, Prof. Birch's and Brendan's/ May's Home, Prof. Birch's Lab
Items Obtainable- Amulet Coin, Pokedex, Pokeball (x5), Potion, Running Shoes, SS Tidal Ticket.

This is where your whole Hoenn journey begins. At the very beginning of the game, make a point of getting the Potion out of your PC. You receive the Amulet Coin off your Mum after you defeat your Dad, the Pokedex off Prof. Birch, the Pokeballs off May, the Running Shoes off your Mum as you leave, and the SS Tidal Ticket off your Dad after you've defeated the League. There's not really much to do here.

Oldale Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart
Items Obtainable- Potion

Just talk to the PokeMart representative standing to the right of the Pokemon Center, to receive your free Potion.

Petalburg City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Wally's House, Petalburg Gym
Items Obtainable- Balance Badge, Ether, HM03 (Surf), Max Revive, TM42 (Fa�ade)

Don�t forget to stop by the Pokemon Center and talk to the guy standing next to the PC. Here you can create your own profile. If you change your profile to �Mystery Event Is Exciting� after earning the Balance Badge, then Mystery Event will be unlocked on the games menu. Remember that you cannot earn the Balance Badge until you have 4 more badges. After earning your badge, go talk to Wally�s Dad, who will reward you with HM03 (Surf). Now that you can Surf, check out the shores of Petalburg�s 2 small lakes, to find some rare items!

Rustboro City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Cutter�s House, Pokemon Trainer�s School, Devon Corporation, Rustboro Gym
Items Obtainable- Exp. Share, Great Ball, HM01 (Cut), Letter, PokeNav, Premier Ball, Quick Claw, Stone Badge, TM39 (Rock Tomb), X Defend

Just talk to the Cutter in his house to receive HM01 (Cut). By talking to the teacher in the Pokemon Trainer�s School you will receive the Quick Claw. Then if you talk to the kid in the Devon Apartment building, he�ll give you a Premier Ball. Firstly defeat Roxanne and receive the Stone Badge as well as TM39 (Rock Tomb). Then as you leave the Gym, you have to help the Researcher from the Devon Corporation get his goods back. After doing that, the Researcher will take you to the head of the Devon Corporation. You will be asked to deliver a Letter to Steven in Dewford Town and the Goods to Capt. Stern in Slateport City. In return you receive the PokeNav. Return to the Head of the Devon Corporation after delivering the letter, to receive the Exp. Share.

Dewford Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, Granite Cave, Dewford Gym
Items Obtainable- HM05 (Flash), Knuckle Badge, Old Rod, Silk Scarf, TM08 (Bulk Up), TM36 (Sludge Bomb)

Not really much to do here. Just deliver the Letter to Steven (who is in Granite Cave; talk to the Hiker inside to receive HM05 (Flash) and defeat the Gym. Remember to stop off at the house by the dock for your free Silk Scarf!

Slateport City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Pokemon Fan Club, Oceanic Museum, Name Rater, Harbour, Hyper Rank Pokemon Contest Hall, Shipyard
Items Obtainable- Deepseascale or Deepseatooth, Pokeblock Case, Soda Pop (x6), Soft Sand, Soothe Bell, TM41 (Torment), TM46 (Thief)

Lots to do in Slateport City. So you can�t participate in the Contests just yet, but you can obtain your Pokeblock Case from inside. Deliver the Goods to the Shipyard as well. You�ll find out that he isn�t there. Now go to the Oceanic Museum and go upstairs. You'll find Capt. Stern there. Suddenly Team Magma/ Aqua will appear. They should be easy to defeat. If you�re in need of some healing potions, just visit the Seashore House. Defeat all the trainers and the owner will rewards you with 6 cans of Soda Pop. If you�re in need a Pokemon Name Change, just visit the Name Rater (It�s not as fun as the PKMN.NET Name Rater of course, but it�ll have to do). At the Pokemon Fan Club, if your lead Pokemon has a maxed out condition through Pokeblocks, then the President will give you a colour co-ordinated scarf. If your Pokemon loves you, then talk to another member to receive a Soothe Bell.

Mauville City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Game Corner, Rydel�s Cycles, Mauville Gym
Items Obtainable- Basement Key, Coin case, Dynamo Badge, HM06 (Rock Smash), Mach Bike or Acro Bike, Rare Candy, TM24 (Thunderbolt), TM34 (Shock Wave), 20 Coins, X Speed

When you first enter Mauville City, head for the house to the right of the PokeMart. If the owner thinks your Pokemon looks strong, you�ll receive HM06 (Rock Smash). Next head over to Rydel�s Cycles. Rydel is so impressed with your desire to travel that he�ll give you one! You can either have the speedy Mach Bike, and the light and flexible Acro Bike. As there are various places in Hoenn, where only a certain bike can take you, you can always switch to the other one when you need to. Before you can visit the Gym, you�ll see Wally standing in the way. He asks if he can have a battle with you. He only has a Level 16 Ralts, so you might as well for the experience. Then you can go defeat Wattson. After you obtain the power to Surf, Wattson will appear near the Pokemon Center. He�ll ask you to do a little quest for him. He�ll give you the Basement Key to help you, and if you succeed he�ll give you TM24 (Thunderbolt).

Verdanturf Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Wally�s New House, Normal Rank Pokemon Contest Hall, Rusturf Tunnel
Items Obtainable- Contest Pass, HM04 (Strength), TM45 (Attract)

Firstly, visit Wally in his new house. If you talk to him he�ll tell you that he�s going to become a better trainer than you. Deluded fool. Go inside Rusturf Tunnel and help the digger out by using Rock Smash to smash the rocks. They�ll reward you with HM04 (Strength). And of course, don�t forget to receive your free Contest Pass in the Contest Hall. Now you can enter Contests!

Fallarbor Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Move Tutor, Super Rank Pokemon Contest Hall, Prof. Cosmo�s House
Items Obtainable- TM27 (Return)

It seems Team Magma/ Aqua have taken Prof. Cosmo to Meteor Falls. Maybe you should go and help him? The person standing in front of the PC in the Pokemon Center is Lanette. She is the person who designed the PC Storage System. Now the PC will no longer call itself �Someone�s PC!� The Move Tutor teaches your Pokemon any move that they currently don�t know but at one point had a chance to learn. In exchange for a Heart Scale of course� Later on, after you�ve reclaimed Prof. Cosmo�s Meteorite, take it to him and he�ll give you TM27 (Return) as a reward.

Lavaridge Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Pokemon Herb Shop, Lavaridge Gym
Items Obtainable- Charcoal, Go-Goggles, Heat Badge, Mystery Egg, TM50 (Overheat)

Talk to the woman standing in the sand next to the Pokemon Center, and she�ll give you a Mystery Pokemon Egg. It will eventually hatch into a Wynaut. In the Pokemon Herb Shop, you can buy Healing ailments for lower prices, but which taste bitter, to your Pokemon�s displeasure. Talk to the person in the house nest to the Herb Shop to receive the Charcoal. After you defeat Flannery, Brendan/ May will reward you with the Go-Goggles. Now you can visit the Desert on Route 111.

Fortree City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Secret Base Shop, Fortree Gym
Items Obtainable- Feather Badge, Mental Herb, TM10 (Hidden Power), TM40 (Aerial Ace)

In the South- East corner of Fortree City, there is a Secret Base Shop. They have a great selection of Desks and Chairs, so it�s definitely worth checking out. In one of the houses, a woman will see if your Hidden Power has awoken; If you can guess which hand she�s hiding a coin in then she�ll give you TM10 (Hidden Power). You�ll need the Devon Scope from Route 120 before you can take on the Gym leader.

Lilycove City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, Department Store, Harbour, Art Museum, Master Rank Pokemon Contest Hall, Pokemon Trainer Fan Club, Move Deleter, Team Magma/ Aqua Hideout
Items Obtainable- Max Repel, TM44 (Rest)

Brendan/ May blocks the door of the Department Store, so defeat them first off. Then you can enter the Department Store. Always enter the Pokemon Lottery Corner. The Prizes you can receive are:

3 Matching Numbers: Exp. Share
4 Matching Numbers: Max. Revive
5 Matching Numbers: Master Ball

At the Pokemon Trainer Fan Club gather many enthusiastic Pokemon fans. Maybe you come become their idol? By visiting the Art Museum the Curator will tell you about his quest for new paintings. Maybe you could help him? The Move Deleter can delete your Pokemon�s unwanted HM moves.

Mossdeep City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Space Center, Steven�s House, Mossdeep Gym
Items Obtainable- HM08 (Dive), King�s Rock, Mind Badge, Net Ball, Sun Stone, Super Rod, TM04 (Calm Mind)

Stop by at the top- left house firstly. This is Steven�s house, and he�ll give you HM08 (Dive). Visit the fisherman�s house near the Space Center, to receive the Super Rod. Talking to the person standing near the Pokemon Center will result in you receiving the King�s Rock. Talk to somebody in the Space Center and they�ll give you a Sun Stone. Don�t forget to visit the Gym!

Sootopolis City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, PokeMart, Cave of Origin, Sootopolis Gym
Items Obtainable- Rain Badge, TM03 (Water Pulse), TM31 (Brick Break), Wailmer Doll

In the town�s North- West is a Martial Artist, willing to share his favourite TM (Brick Break) with you. In the South- East, is a woman who�ll give you a Wailmer Doll for your Secret base because she�s never seen you before. Mental. The big attraction of Sootopolis City is obviously the Cave of Origin- home to Groudon or Kyogre, depending on your Version. Once the Crisis with the legendary Pokemon has been resolved, you can go for your final Gym Battle!

Pacifidlog Town

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center
Items Obtainable- TM21 (Frustration), TM27 (Return)

Visiting this town isn�t even compulsory to complete the game. A Man living in the South- East of the island will tell you whenever Mirage Island appears. The Pokemon Fan Club Chairman�s Little Brother is visiting Pacifidlog. Show him your lead Pokemon and you�ll receive a TM based on your Pokemon�s feelings towards you. If your Pokemon likes you, you get TM27 (Return). If it doesn�t like you, then you get TM21 (Frustration).

Ever Grande City

Places of Interest- Pokemon Center, Victory Road, Pokemon League
Items Obtainable- None
