Another three trainers to beat here; Lass Lois, Beauty Rita and Gym Leader Whitney. These teams are much more varied than the ones you've seen so far, and the gym's quite tough.

Here's Lass Lois's team:
-Poliwag
-Snubbull
-Marill
-Meowth
-Teddiursa
-Phanpy

Use a Fighting type to bring down the three Normal types on Lois's squad. A Grass type covers the remaining three, but bear in mind that Poliwag and Marill are both equipped with Ice moves. An Electric type would be best for them, and a Water, Grass or Ice type for Phanpy. Overall, the team's quite easy to beat.

Beauty Rita's team:
-Sentret [M]
-Mareep [M]
-Aipom [F]
-Diglett [M]
-Remoraid [F]
-Ponyta [F]

I've included the Pokémon's gender for a very important reason - all of these creatures know Attract! This is a horrible move which will cause a Pokémon of the opposite sex to fail to attack 50% of the time. To counter the tactic? Bring a genderless Pokémon! Fortunately, most of the Pokémon's movesets are simple and aggressive other than attract, so bring a Magneton, Porygon2 or the like to clear them. If you can't use genderless Pokémon for some reason (maybe you've already trained a strong team), then make sure your Pokémon are of the same gender as their opponents.

Here comes Whitney's team:
-Clefable
-Wigglytuff
-Gloom
-Stantler
-Miltank
-Dodrio

It seems simple enough - use a Fighting type to counter the Normals. Unfortunately, Wigglytuff, Clefable and Stantler all know Psychic, not to mention Dodrio's Drill Peck. Miltank's no pushover either, with Rollout, Earthquake, Stomp and Bide. Watch out for Bide, as any damage it receives while biding its time will be doubled when it attacks back. Either don't cause it any damage or try knocking it out before it can unleash its attack - it's up to you.

To defeat the team, you'll need to work hard - use a Pokémom with a Fighting move which is not a fighting type. A Mewtwo with Submission would be ideal if you can get your hands on one. Recover any recoil damage and use Amnesia to protect yourself from their various Special-based moves.

To defeat Gloom and Dodrio, use an Ice type. If you can, give it a Miracleberry to protect it from Tri Attack and Sludge Bomb.

When you finally beat this gym, you will open the way to Morty's gym.
