Stadium Stadium Two: Stadium 2 Little Cup Strategy |

Want to know how to beat the Little Cup on Stadium 2? Continue reading:

Charmander being irrelevant.

Always use your own Pokémon if possible; they are usually stronger than rentals. You can also pick your own movesets.

Remember; in the Little Cup, Berries, Berry Juice and Gold Berries restore an incredible amount of HP, relatively speaking.  A Gold Berry will restore most Pokémon back to full health.

Also, remember that although Chansey, Onix and Scyther can evolve - and therefore compete in the Little Cup - their stats are still huge.

A Chansey with Reflect and Light Screen holding a Gold Berry or Leftovers can stay alive for a very long time.  A strong Special-based move such as Ice Beam can make it quite a strong contender.

Squirtle using Blizzard. The photographer must be brave!

A Scyther is quicker than almost every other competitor (apart from Diglett, I believe, who is tied).  As such, Endure + Reversal is a good combo to have on it.  Teach it Quick Attack to beat anything else using the same combo.

Onix's Defense is huge, so it's best to work on the defensive.  Toxic + Bind is a good combo, as long as you trap something with physical moves.  Dig will allow Onix to prevent being damaged while the poison gets to work.

As for the rest, Smoochum is a good choice for special-based attack (namely Psychic and Ice Beam, if possible) and Geodude is good for physical attacks (Rock Slide and Earthquake if you can).

The problem is that you can't train them, as they have to be on :L5.  The answer is to use stat boosters, but remember that on :L5, max stat experience will only raise stats by two or three points.  For Scyther's Speed, Chansey's HP, Onix's Defense, Geodude's Attack and Smoochum's Special, however, it's probably worth it.

I swept the entire Little Cup on both rounds with this

Abra@ Gold Berry
~Psychic
~Ice Punch
~Thunderpunch
~Theif

Using 10 of every stat booster aside from Protein, Abra doesn't go down in one hit in the Little Cup unless it's hit by a strong physical STAB'd attack like Rhyhorn's Earthquake. Use Psychic as you main move, Ice Punch for Ground types, ThunderPunch for Water types, and Theif when you eat your Gold Berry. This Abra is an amazing lead Pokemon in almost every stuation. Beware of Houndour when using it though.
