Black 2 and White 2 Join Avenue: Join Avenue - Introduction | It does exactly what it says on the tin!

Join Avenue!

Making a debút in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, the Join Avenue centralises itself around the communication and wireless aspect of the games. Beginning as an empty route, Join Avenue will grow the more you connect your game with others, such as through Wi-Fi, C-Gear and InfraRed, eventually growing into a blossomed route full of shops opened up by those you have interacted with. This will be done automatically, so you don't have to worry when you're linked with somebody.

Once you have communicated with a few other games, you will start to notice the trainer sprite of that game wandering down Join Avenue. Talking to them will result in them revealing that they are looking to open a store; giving them encouragement in return will result in them opening a store dependant on which statement they give out. The statement they give out is dependant on their Trainer ID, unfortunately we do not currently know how it is so, and the items that they will sell will depend on the game from which they come from (so if you interacted with a trainer using a Black cart, he will only sell items under the category "Black"). There are eight possible slots for shops, although you can have as many of each as you like (so you don't have to have them all, you could have eight Lottery stores if you're lucky enough..);

Once you have installed a store and it has opened up for business, you will be able to buy items from that store, but only one of each item per day. You will also find, as you browse through our pages, that certain items will only be sold to you once you have 'levelled' your store up, along with certain rewards you will gain for increasing your Join Avenue rank. Once you have beaten the Elite Four, and opened a store up, you will start to find characters wandering down the Join Avenue looking for a particular store as expressed in their desires. Guiding them to the correct store will increase the popularity of your Avenue, and for every 10 characters you correctly guide to that shop will the shop itself increase by a level. In addition to offering out better items, you will also get an increasing discount on the items as you level that store up, by a 1% per level increased, up until a maximum discount of 40%. So if you, say, have a store on Level 20, you'll receive a 20% discount on your items.

Aiding a visitor to your game to the store they want to be at will usually increase the popularity points of your Join Avenue by either 100 or 200 points, however if you are lucky enough to have a Gym Leader visit you, and you successfully guide them to the shop they want to be at, they will give out up to 1,000 points, so it is well worth keeping your eyes peeled for them. If you help a fan, as opposed to another character/player, they will give out only 75% of the normal popularity points, although this is still enough to keep you going despite being more tiresome..

Please find below a table of the phrases that will be given out, along with the store(s) that they want to be guided across to and the amount of points they will reward you with. They may also talk to you about the trainer who opened the shop, which may be trickier to figure out which store they want to be at, however. Certain phrases will have more than one store that they will be happy visiting, just take them to one of the relevant stores and they should give you the points you deserve;

As explained above, your Avenue will increase in rank dependant on the points you gain in reward for guiding the visitors to their desired store. The increase in rank will also bring you rewards, such as eventually being able to personalise the Join Avenue name to your own desire. The points given below are the amount of points needed to gain from the level before it, not in total.
