This episode is essential viewing because:
Ash, Misty and Tracey return to Pallet Town.

Brock returns to the group.

Ash returns Tauros to Professor Oak.

Ash, Misty and Tracy have arrived back at Pallet Town. Tracy can't wait to see Prof. Oak and gets his sketches ready. Ash says he can do that at his house (shouldn't he be picking up a certain bird he promised to go see again?) and Misty wants to have lunch there too. They all run towards his house. Ash goes in and calls that he he's home. A familar voice calls from the kitchen. Ash runs in to see that it's Brock! Misty and Tracy arrive and Brock offers them all some tea. Misty asks what he's doing here. There's a flashback to Pokeball Peril where Misty and Ash left Brock. Brock is curled up on the floor. Misty says he must have been dumped by Prof. Ivy.

Ash's mum comes in and they all talk for a while. Misty ask how long had Brock been in Pallet. Ash's mum explains how she and 'Mimie' found Brock on the way back from the market, when they trod on him in some long grass. Everytime she mention Prof. Ivy he kept curling up on the floor, like he just did. Brock runs into the hall and starts fighting Mr. Mime for the broom. Ash says they will never know what happened and Misty says again that she thinks Brock has been dumped. Ash doesn't understand. Misty says, "Sometimes you're as immature as Gary." Ash curls up in the position as Brock!

Mrs. Ketchum goes off to make some deep-dish chilidog pizza pies. Tracy yells at Ash. He has been trying to ask when they are going to see Oak. Ash takes the G/S ball out of his backpack along with his trophy. He hands it to his mother who is happy she won't have to buy another dumbbell to work out. Exasperated, everyone does a face jerk thingy. The gang walk along the path to Oak's lab. As they get nearer Tracy starts running.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are watching from a distance. James says they ought to call The Boss. Meowth reminds him they haven't caught a single Pokemon. James wonders why Brock is back with them. By this time, the gang have reached the lab. They go in and Muk jumps on top of Ash. Oak greets them and Tracy introduces himelf. Oak says to Brock that Prof. Ivy sends her best reguards. Brock curls up again. Ash hands Oak the G/S ball and he says he'll examine it later.

They go into the Pokeball room and Oak puts the G/S ball on a shelf. Then, outside Ash spots most of the Pokemon he has sent to Oak: Tauros, Snorlax and Kingler. Ash sends out the Tauros he has to go and join the others. Tracy is sketching the Tauros and Oak walks over to him. He agrees to look at Tracy's sketches. In the sitting room Oak starts to examine them. Tracy is shaking with nervousness. Before Oak can say anything there is an rumbling outside. They look out to see a canvas tent covering the house!

Outiside, Team Rocket laugh that all the Pokemon in the storage room and Pikachu won't be able to get away. They do their motto and jump down from a tightrope they were walking. They ask Brock why he's back in Pallet and mention the I word! Brock somehow gets on the tightrope and starts to sulk. Jessie tells them all to hand over their Pokemon. The refuse, of course, and Muk come to battle for Ash. Jessie sends out Likitung. Muk jumps onto Jessie. Oak tells her it's fond of humans. James sends out Victreebel which tries to eat him as usual. Muk jumps on them all.

James orders a Poison attack and because Victreebel is covered by Muk it gets poisoned itself. Jessie attacks with Likitung, which doesn't effect Muk either. Jessie and James toss some rings onto everyone, which tighen. A vacuum decends and starts to suck up the Pokeballs from Oak's storage room along with a few other things. Suddenly, the Tent is ripped open and the balloon is also ripped. A cloaked figure emerges with a Nidoqueen. He reveals himself as....Gary Oak!

Nidoqueen defeats all of Team Rockets Pokemon and sends them blasting off with a Strength attack. Nidoqueen frees everyone. Misty and Brock comment on how strong Gary has become. Ash butts in saying he's a better trainer, having won the Orange League and doing better in the Indigo League. Gary tells him he's got a lot better himself, Ash challenges him to a match. Everyone gasps as they stare at each other. Who will be the winner? You'll have to find out next time...TO BE CONTINUED >
