Basically, are there any songs that really get to you? You don't hav to physically cry at it...
But it helps.
River Flows In You, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-pYDsGAHzA) Kiss the Rain, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fY1Dd4Sx-AM&feature=related) and Never Meant to Belong* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB8p6lE5EKo&feature=related) are some of mine.

Graduation (Friends Forever) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdKqMJ0O88I)
Yes I'm a little young, but I really miss primary school and the lack of homework, haha xD I'm not really looking forward to leaving secondary either, because I like my friends and whatnot. Still got four or so years to go, but the fact that my mum will probably want me to go to another school for sixth form means less time for me :c [/ramble]
-
Slipped Away by Avril Lavigne is the only song to make me cry of sadness, but live performances by Amanda Palmer tend to get to me, mainly Have To Drive, Delilah and Look Mummy, No Hands.
-
I'll Be There. Not the words, no. The NOTES make me cry tears of joy.
-
Nothing really. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v52Igdotisk)
I don't even know why I posted here. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk_sAHh9s08)

Tears in Heaven
Eric Clapton
probably the saddest song, especially if you know the background story. it is so full of emotion.
-
Anything by glasvegas, daddy's gone/s.a.d light/flowers and football tops especially
Green day, wake up when september ends (so sad if you know the meaning behind it/macy's day parade/no-one knows/give me novacaine/redundant
Frightened rabbit: things
Blink 182: Always/I miss you
Snow patrol: Chasing cars/run
Johnny Cash: Hurt
Nickelback: Far away
Obv i don't cry at these every time i hear them but some make me emotional for different reasons.
For anyone that doesn't know Highland Cathedral is a scottish piping song [composed by germans ironically]. We play it in wind band a lot and it gets to me. The last time i heard it was when a lone piper played it at my great-aunties funeral. That made the song even more poingnant for me.
-
Any song for which the performance involves me being repeatedly kicked in the shins
it's more likely than you'd think.
-
Brother my Brother (Pokemon album, too lazy to look up the actual singer). This reminds me of my sister, because it reminds her of me. I love her more than anyone else in the world, and I miss her.
The Older I Get - Skillet. A painful reminder of the relationship I have with my father.
Start Again - Red. For many more reasons than one, but it reminds me of some people that I wish were still part of my life that are no longer.
Oh My Dear - Tenth Avenue North. Listen to it and no explanation is needed.
Snuff - Slipknot. This one doesn't really make me cry, just very emotional.
There's plenty I'm forgetting or just can't be bothered to list. I'm sort of an emotional wreck, I guess. :/
-
No songs make me cry.

Brother my Brother (Pokemon album, too lazy to look up the actual singer). This reminds me of my sister, because it reminds her of me. I love her more than anyone else in the world, and I miss her.
that is such a moving song too! one of my favs. i think its like the blessid Union of souls that sing it. that scene in the 1st pokemon movie always pulls at my heart strings.

-
am i the only one who finds that brother my brother song kinda funny
-
how so may i ask? just corny or something?
-
pretty much corny yeah
it's a nice song, but there's a point when i was watching it and heard that song that i thought
wow
boybands do not go well with emotional moments do they
because there are tears in my eyes and not sad tears either
-

Just... So beautiful... These aren't even manly tears I'm crying...
-
about 25% of the PMD3 songs
-
"It Is Finished" from the Mother 3 soundtrack. I legit weep but anyone who plays this game and *doesn't* cry has something wrong with them imo.
-
Blink 182-I Miss You
-
21 guns.... just because my uncle was in the military and when soldiers died and they had funerals there they'd play that specific song. It's just... *sniff*
-
Kite - U2
Such a sad story behind it:'/

Toki wo Kizamu Uta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAiP8zzrlWM), the OP of Clannad After Story is quite depressing once the series gets into things, too.
-
Remembering Sunday- All Time Low.
I'm recording a version of it for my dissertation project for next year and it's making me weep uncontrollably.
-
St Winifred's School Choir - There's No-one Quite Like Grandma

-
braids - glass deers
too much emotion in the vocals cant cope
-
I'll Make A Man Out Of You
That song from Mulan. I makes me almost cry.
My Moment - Rebecca Black
Just, the theme of it. How Rebecca perseveres through all the hate she gets from that one song. It brings me to tears.
Wedding Dress - Taeyang
How Taeyang went after a girl, but her heart was stolen from him by another man... Brings me to tears every time. But it's my favorite K-Pop song.
-
Lucy - Skillet
It's about someone's love dying. If this isn't sad to you, you are heartless.
*Bursts into tears*
-
My Immortal by Evanecense is pretty sad.
-
Falling Away With You - Muse
it's about really loving something and then leaving it all behind and trying to forget it... It's so beautiful.
-
"I Dreamed a Dream" from the Les Misérables OST
One of our song choices..
-
Green Day- Wake Me Up When September Ends
There's a deep meaning behind it and how it's connected to the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Since then, we brought the war to them, and all the lives lost. My dad was in the war.
-
Superman (It's Not Easy)- Five for Fighting
And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going- Jennifer Holliday/ Jennifer Hudson
Both are sad but the Dreamgirls song is the most emotional as it is in the most critical scene in both the movie and musical where Effie refuses to accept the fact she's been fired from her singing group and loves the manager. The Five for Fighting song is about feeling you don't belong in the world.
Making Love Out of Nothing at All- Air Supply
Mandy- Barry Manilow
-
Clannad - Maid Marian
An absolutely beautiful song, played in honour of a beautiful woman. =/
-
i miss you - blink 182
the voice inside myyyead THE FEELS

-
What about John Lennon's classic song Imagine?
-
radiohead-street spirit (fade out)
smashing pumpkins-disarm

Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Connor
-
dirt-phish
and if you ever think of me, kneel down and kiss the earth... it should be what this thought is worth
i'll never hear your voice again...
-
Iris- Goo Goo Dolls
This song was perfect for the movie City of Angels since it is about wanting something that other people you know may not understand. It is interesting that this is only the second Meg Ryan movie I saw in its entirety.
-
Green day - give me novacaine
Frightened rabbit - escape route/nitrous gas/my backwards walk
Biffy clyro - opposite
-
Castle of Glass - Linkin Park
Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see.
For you to see.
The tone just tugs at me. Student did speech on band. Played video. Watch it. I dare you to not get emotional at the parts with the kids, especially the little girl.
-
another necropost for bread
eight full hours of sleep - against me!
-
Usually it'll be dependent on my state and how I've been (and it's more just emptiness rather than actual crying which is just as bad, if not worse imo), I think the ones that stick out are
Burial - Shell Of Light
Drake - Marvin's Room
Ellery James Roberts - Kerou's Lament (犠牲)
How To Dress Well - Suicide Dream 2
Radiohead - Videotape
hmm
-
You Me At Six - Underdog
Despite not being directly about what I went through (and being more about something quite...bad), it reminds me of what she / they did to me. Some of the lines hit hard.
If it was longer than 2:27, it'd be worse for me.
-
torn - toad the wet sprocket
ooh i forgot this song existed and now just eurgh
-
Juan Gabriel-Hasta te conoci
Cri Cri-La Muneca Fea
Pokémon: The First Movie-Three on Three
Pokémon: The First Movie-Tears of Life

The Rolling Stones-As tears go by
Mega Man ZX-Black Burn (Highway-O Bombing)-This one really doesn't make me cry but it just makes me feel down.
Cristian-Volver Amar
I have more, but those are rather because nostalgic reasons and are tears of "joy"
