you say it like this "hello" or "hi" or "hey!" and if they dont respond they werent worth saying hello to in the first place (non-verbal PDD notwithstanding)

It depends what you're into tbh.
Some people will tip their fedora whilst clinking their vapes whilst others will violently dab at each other until their trackies come out of their socks.
Could just say "hi".
