Also having an intensive Alter Bridge education to prepare myself for seeing them in October ^^ I Know It Hurts, Ghosts Of Days Gone By, Metalingus, Open Your Eyes and Wonderful Life are the current favourites, though I still have a lot to listen to!

Definitely give the Blackbird album a listen, especially the self-title. It's darker, perhaps closer to Creed than ODR and ABIII, but the album flows wonderfully. They've got their new album out in November (iirc) too which I'm pretty looking forward to :D

At the moment, I'd say..

You Could Be Mine - Guns N Roses
Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
Still Grey - Pendulum
Triple X - Sub Focus
Blackbird - Alter Bridge

Lets get this back on topic and cut the individual remarks out. If you've got something to say about one another, take it to PM and, if necessary, then involve me or any other of the Admins.

From my own experiences of working in a pub;

"Can I have a receipt with that?"
Nothing at all wrong with that, but you've spent £2.64 on a pint of lager and you want a receipt? So you can claim all of 44p back? You're pissed as a fart anyway, you'll only put it in your wallet and mistake it for a £5 note in the taxi on your way home.

"Why are you asking me for ID?"
Tends to be at either 18th or 21st parties, usually to anybody who looks like they were born yesterday, or anybody in a vest, not that I'm prejudiced or anything. It's usually the vests who answer back with "well I haven't got any anyway" and then wonder why I refuse to serve them, accusing me of being a dick. And no, propositioning me isn't going to work either, I don't know where your mouth has been.

"Why haven't you got <insertdrink>, I only drink <insertdrink>"
Do you really want me to divulge you into the wonderful world of owning a pub (well, my dad does) and not depending on a brewery, the negotiations between suppliers and ourselves, the fact that nobody else drinks your poison and that we're not stocking it because of that alone.. or would you rather pick something else to drink, moan about it and avoid eye contact with me for the rest of the night as if I've spat in your drink, slept with your mother and not called her back?

And any form of "I was here first, did you not notice me, how stupid are you?", when I'm trying my hardest to get through the crowd of people that all turned up at once.

Oh, and people who order one bloody drink at a time as though I'm slow. Tell me your full order so I can get it all done in the quickest amount of time so I can get other people served, don't wait for me to serve each individual drink before telling me the next. If I forget one drink, I'm sure you'll tell me and make sure I'm aware of my failings.

I'm aware I might have tailed off a little bit there..

From what I overheard whilst in the EE store on Saturday getting a friend's phone sorted out;

"Why can't I connect to the Apple store, I've got my internet sorted and everything."
"That's because you've got a Samsung Galaxy, sir"
"So? Why can't I connect to the Apple store?"

I'm really.. speechless as to what to say. It's getting to me a little bit that I can't see past the last eight months where I've been visiting her in hospitals, in care homes, sitting by her side and telling her to keep strong and to keep fighting.. I'm really struggling to remember any memories I feel confident enough to speak about at her funeral that it's making me feel bad. I feel like I should have something to say, like people will expect me to be able to have something to say.. but I'm just drawing blanks. I don't want to say about the past eight months because that's not how I want to remember my grandma at all.. but.. ugh.

The memories that I can currently remember pale though.. they don't feel.. enough, you know? =[

PKMN.NET / Re: 8 Gym leaders of... PKMN?
« on: July 16, 2013, 22:35 »
This is certainly something we have attempted before on both stimulators (NetBattle, Showdown, Shoddy Battle) and cartridge. The stimulator worked quite well from memory, we had a static team which was initially 8 Gym Leaders and 5 Elite Four members, and allowed you to get in touch with those Leaders to arrange convenient times (when we were a bit busier). We opened it up a bit, allowing you to earn them in any order to help ease the time issue, it worked quite well from memory.. although I don't think that many completed it.

We also tried a WiFi one, perhaps we were a bit too ambitious but when Diamond and Pearl were first released (when WiFi was first possible) and there was a bit of a craze, we attempted a Challenge League which would see a more long-term attempt at the above.

If you can find enough members to be interested, plus enough people who can dedicate that kind of time, then there's no reason why we couldn't help from the PKMN.net Administrative side of things, but.. it's not something we've had much luck with in the past I'm afraid.. interest tends to fade quite quickly once the initial buzz wears off.

Also, I just remembered this today but Wergoheb for you IRC folk you there, interesting guy, would like to talk to him again some day.

Wergoheb.. gave quite the conundrum..  I certainly remember him.

I think at MOST a handful of people will remember this.  And that's stretching it.  But I'll put it out there.

Marathon Across Netbattle.

Vaguely, it rings a bell.. was it back in 2005?

F3raligatr When will you be free to battle? (I.e what's your timezone, as we'll need to be awake at the same point sometime!) - I'm in GMT

I'm GMT too, so that's a good start.

Best chance of getting me is going to be either Thursday night this week after 9pm, or Friday evening after 7pm. Unfortunately I've got training on all nights this week, along with team sports tonight and tomorrow. Is that going to be any good for you?

he's in GMT but PM him, hes very good about PMs

he even gets PMs
