Random Randomness / Re: first world problems

What I find annoying is that the front page hasn’t been updated since ORAS came out. Literally two Generations have occurred with the latest just starting and we still have a Gen VI game being called “the latest games.” Everything on this site is dead. Sometimes I don’t even know why I bother to see if anything new has happened because of how inactive everything is.

Maybe offer to update the site with your own articles? Could breathe some fresh life into things. (lol beat me to it)

Set myself the goal of completing two warbands before Christmas and I've finished my Despoilers but now that I'm starting my Wild Hunt, I'm realising that I've burnt myself out. Like, I'm painting up a team of elves but I just want to start my next planned project which I'm really excited about.

Idk, I just find elves to be boring.

I've noticed they often post on dead threads that I've made.

They must really like me!

Might be like the Reapers from Mass Effect and they're coming to get you :o

There's a ridiculous amount of tension at work at the moment with the older managers feuding with the younger managers and, all in all, walking on eggshells isn't fun. It feels like we've got a small-scale civil war going on. It's just something nobody needs right now.

It's nice posting here, it feels more like a small community than just a forum like. Even those weird bot accounts that'll post on dead threads with broken English have their charm.

Finally got around to pre-ordering Pokemon Shield! It's one of the titles that I bought a Switch for so I'm excited. Had to do it online, though, because my foot still hasn't recovered. Don't mind skipping the outing to pick it up but there's a solid chance that it'll arrive whilst I'm working.

Despite all the controversy, it'll probably be a decent game.

My Tamagotchi got here today and being able to relive some of that childhood nostalgia is proving to be a blast.

It's the mini so I'm missing some features but depending on how this goes, I'll probably get a regular one down the line.

I've been proper excited for Halloween for ages and I've even got a nice costume for it BUT I hurt my foot last Thursday and it still hurts to the point where shoes are uncomfortable so it looks like I'm not going to be doing much this year.

Had a really nice birthday today. I'm really tired now but, all in all, my 25th was really nice.

Finished up a miniature today and it feels like I'm finally figuring out how to make decent bases. It's a nice snowy base so the dried earth and melting clumps of snow make a lovely change from the grubby muddy bases with puddles of sewage everywhere that I've been making for my Kill Team.

Finally caught a Kyogre on Pokemon Go. It's probably my favourite Gen 3 legendary so being unable to get it from the research breakthroughs until now has been a pain. Properly taking advantage of moving Pokemon from Go to Let's Go at the moment so my CP1400 Alakazam is now living a better life in Let's Go.

Work's coming along nicely, too. I still hate it there but it turns out that people genuinely appreciate the fact that I work hard and it's really nice to actually hear how they've spoken about me.

So, at work, people have heard strange noises around the building after we've closed. Noises like doors opening, closing and slamming , equipment being used upstairs, and whistling. It's usually swept under the rug when brought up because even though it's fun to speculate that the building is haunted, it's not something anyone really wants to think about because the way we work would make it stressful.

I worked a close tonight so I brought my camera and went through a roll of film. I'm lowkey hoping that nothing shows up tbh but it's exciting. I'm hoping to get the film developed soonish and maybe take some more pictures on the second floor of the building.

Had my second PvP battle on Pokemon Go to help a friend do their quest challenge and, once again, this shiny CP1499 Latias was my MvP and scored me a win!

It has taken ages but I'm able to start working on a decent PTCG deck. Lowkey looking forward to when they release the Sword & Shield sets because I like the designs of the majority of the new Pokemon and forms we've seen so far. Looking forward to the game in general tbh.

Finally settled in at work and I'm getting on with everyone and it's making things a lot more bearable. We lose a tonne of new staff so I guess I've finally been accepted as being part of the main team. Feels nice tbh.

I did weighted squats for the first time in what has probably been over a year yesterday without making my knee hurt. I've had to massively cut down on the weight I've been lifting but it means that I can squat without issues again. I'm guessing that I was increasing the weight too quickly and sacrificing form in order to complete the movement and that was knackering my knee.

I'm just chuffed to be squatting again.

It's that special time of year when the Real Ale & Cider festival comes around and I'm genuinely excited. They've finally expanded on their ciders so it'll be a tough deciding between ales and ciders this year.

 Can't wait.

My phone has stopped holding charge on one of the few days where I genuinely need it and, all in all, I'm fuming since my phone is dead and there's a good chance that it's knackered.

 It's such an annoying inconvenience.

Ate healthily all week and hit a new milestone with the ol' weight loss. Might be undoing all of that with a cheeky glass of rum (wouldn't recommend) but progress is being made and I'm chuffed.

Got some painting projects in the works that are coming to fruition at the moment, too. Hoping to pick up an airbrush soon to speed up the painting process with models but I want to work on some masks too.

I sent you an invite, I tend to send gifts daily unless I haven't managed to get on the game and/or leave my house to get more gifts.
