Preferred Name: My username is good enough, or just dragon if you want to shorten it
Timezone and available hours: Newfoundland Standard Time (it's a half hour later then Atlantic Standard Time). Evenings are probably best for me, really any time past 7 PM should be fine (except on Thursday), though I'd prefer if it ended before 1 AM. Sorry if these times are a little weird for you, I live in a weird timezone...
What do you want to learn?: I mostly just want to learn how to build a good team, but I'll probably end up needing to learn more then just that...

My first pokemon game was yellow and I was so young when I started playing that I couldn't read. getting the game for my birthday is actually one of my earliest memories. That's the beginner's mistake right there, playing the game before you can read.

For some more specific examples:

It literally took me years to get past the first gym (starting with pikachu did not help)

When I finally did, I got a little farther in the game then reset. I did that a lot.

Later, I got crystal and was much more successful (partly because by then I could read. a little...), I almost beat the game, but I still did a lot of stupid things, like using my master ball on a skarmory.

Of course, I did that thing where you only ever use your starter, so that was a pretty bad beginners mistake (and I continued to do that right up until DPPt, though my first diamond play through did that to some extent)

Actually, in the first two gens, I never even used any pokemon besides my starter and the first five I caught because I didn't understand how the PC boxes worked

Really, the only reason I got as far as I did in crystal was because my mom helped me (because she was awesome)

I've been breeding Fennekin to try to get a shiny. I just hatched my 1000th Fennekin. No shiny. I'd give up, but that'd mean I hatched 1000 Fennekin for nothing

do you use a program for this, or do you draw it by hand?either way, thats a really good giratina. would like to see more of this, you look like a good artist ^w^

I actually use both. I drew it by hand then scanned it to color. And thanks! I'll definitely make more, once I figure out what to make, haha ^^; And thanks again =^^=

uploading elsewhere is the only way I know to do it. Nice picture though.

Oh, haha, oops ^^; Well, I'm actually useless at sprite art, so I guess we're even, haha (wish I could do sprite art...)

Thanks! re-drawing it made me realize I actually still like the design (even if it doesn't look like what it was intended to...) but I agree with you about the nose... I just can't seem to change it without making it look weird...

Haha, actually, my username comes from a (failed) attempt at designing a creature that looked like a dragon and a cat. I've been using it (and variants of it) for years now. Actually, my original design is still up on my old deviantArt account... I'm kind of ashamed of it... partly because my old drawing is awful, and partly because it looks nothing like either a cat or a dragon. I think it looked something like this:


(ugh, I'm not good at drawing animals in that sitting position. It looks like it's about to stand up... yeah, let's go with that.)
I love your design though ^^

Anyway, nice to meet you!

*edit* wow, I go sketch a weird not-actually-a-dragon-or-cat thing, and a conversation starts here. Haha, I feel so welcomed, you guys are awesome ^^
