Title: Gym leader rematch problems

In the house where you can rematch gym leaders, they are not alternating and it's been 5 weeks. Can someone tell me what to do?

Are you playing on multiple DSes or changing the dates on it? The games stall when you do those things and don't update daily events. Based on this (and your Join avenue trouble) it sounds like it's stalling because of that.

Yes. I thought it would be how I get swarms in platinum by setting it to 23:59.
