This is something mentioned on the website which never had a big reveal. Apparently you can make a small 10 second customised video featuring you and your Pokemon... And normally this would seem kind of gimmicky, but looking at the screenshots and reading the description, I actually quite like this. Have you guys noticed it - any thoughts?
This also serves as a hint to go digging through the X/Y menus sometimes - all sorts of new stuff pops up when you least expect it!

Dead things. It's a bit pattchy sometimes in that I'm fine with meat (as long as it's a slab and not a whole animal, and I'm cautious about things like chicken on the bones) but I try not to overthink those XD; And dead bugs are terrifying. I make arrangements with people - if I handle live bugs (by carrying them out of the household - I won't tolerate bug squashing) then they handle the dead ones.
Some people find it a weird phobia, and I guess it is a bit odd, but c'est la vie. I also can't stand the idea of drowning - sometimes movies even give me that sensation, such as Life of Pi when the ship goes down. I feel like I can't breathe properly - no fun.

Yeah, but that's paid regularly, and it's gonna stack up. =/ I really don't like 'Pay-Monthly' things... It's a system designed to keep extrapolating money out of people, and the more the system moves in that way, the more suspicious I become of it.
Plus, I only rarely transfer 'mons over, so I don't want to be paying for a service the whole time which I barely use. There are very few people who REGULARLY want to transfer Pokemon over in fact, so... The subscription based method of paying makes me unhappy. I'm quite sure they could have managed Poketransfer without people having to pay for it, and without even needing to use some cloud-type system that would need maintainance in the first place.

... Ewwwww, /blugh/. Is this really the way Nintendo is moving? x_____________________________x Damnit, this is the first bit of news I'm disappointed with. Though maybe I shouldn't complain too bad... If they have a free trial you should at least be able to switch your Pokemon over to your X/Y cartridge without having to pay for it. Still... And I don't really like these Mega Evolutions, apart from Blastoise. Maybe they'll grow on me... =/
I guess it's also possible that once the free trial of Pokebank runs out, maybe you'll still be able to use PokeTransfer and it's just a way of bribing people into trying it out so they might start paying for it?

Just a quick heads-up that according to the official facebook page we can be expecting a bit more news tomorrow, September 4th! This will be one of the last news updates before the offiical game release, but my bet is that it will be detailing the ins and outs of Pokemon Amie.

Hey - if Windows 8 is really that bad, there's a chance that just buying a download of Windows 7 for whatever laptop you want to use will be tour cheapest option. You can buy it on Amazon for £70 or, if you're willingnto take a risk, from independent sellers for about £50.

I'm in a similar boat, and I've currently got my eye on the Dell Inspiron 15r. From the sounds of things it can handle some tough stuff, and there are still some around with Windows 7.
A quick google brings up one on Amazon for £595, but that's a quick search and I'm sure you can find one for cheaper~

Well, if it really kills the metagame so bad that it makes it less fun to play, it could always be banned/placed in a separate tier like double and single battles. As for ingame, it sounds a lot of fun... And like it would make some playstyles such as Nuzlocking even more dramatic.

Hey, hey, it's an interesting topic. Bullying? Hm... I kind of view it as a part of growing up... To some degree. You need to learn how to have some thick skin. Sure, I think it can be malicious, I wouldn't encourage it, but if you learn to cope with bullying early on you have a good setup for life. (Of course it can also install various scarring emotional problems, but so can almost any background.)
Also, for some people, I think they just genuinely don't know where the line for 'teasing' ends and 'bullying' begins. After all that differs from person to person. For one person 'you look hideous today' would just be two friends joking around, for another it could be a huge knock to the self-esteem... It depends. A common solution to it can (depending on the type of bullying) be to make it clear that you do not like it - without necessarily rising to it. With that being said if the bullying clearly IS malicious, well: I chose to just ignore it and that worked fine for me. People still sucked a bit, but they did get bored of it.
Just for one example, on the school bus, people used to throw things at me. I mostly ignored it, but one time a kid poured some cococola on my head. At that point I turned around and calmly pointed out, 'I'm wearing hearing aids, which are expensive electronic devices which you could have seriously damaged.' Everyone on the bus acknowledged that this may have been too far, and said sorry, and it reverted to the occasional thing being thrown my way - something which they gradually grew bored of, and by next year it had stopped completely. It was unpleasant, but didn't escalate, and when it did get worse I was able to calmly tone it down again. Of course the downside is that this won't work in the instance where people just think it's a joke, so be sure to be assertive rather than just passive. And it may not work with more aggressive bullies... I'm not sure. But that's just my two cents on my bullies experiences.
