Older Main Games / Re: Met location for eggs in Pokémon Crystal

You're welcome.

I haven't played the original Gold/Silver/Crystal games in ages. Maybe I should play again.

The met location is where it hatched. There is someone in Cianwood city who will tell you where you met it.

General Pokémon Discussion / Re: Peoples fave pokemon games?

Pokemon X is my favourite one. I love the music and the various new Pokemon that were made available.

What was I thinking, posting that after Sword and Shield came out? Sword and shield are definitely my favourite games now. Possibly more so than X and Y.

Sorry about that. this website doesn't allow linking to some websites. I forgot about that. The website name gets replaced with blocked.

I can link to it via a tinyurl link. I'm not sure if the mods will allow it though.

Welcome to the site.

Unfortunately, this site hasn't been updated in ages. There are probably a few broken links and empty pages dotted about the place, not to mention the forum is pretty much dead these days. We have an active Discord server if you want to chat.

Websites like blocked.net would probably be a better place to look for Pokedex info. That's the one I use.

Random Randomness / Re: first world problems

I still post here whenever I can.

I want to catch every Pokemon in Sword and Shield that is available before the first gym. There are so many places available now, that I don't know where to start!

I have Insomnia and I hate it!

The Insomnia is caused by my Anti-Epilepsy medication which, as well as stopping my Epilepsy, works as an Anti-Depressant.

I'd rather die of an Epileptic seizure (Is that even possible?) than have Insomnia. Clearly, the Anti-Depressant aspect of my medication isn't working!

My medication also lowers the amount of Melatonin my body produces, which explains the Insomnia.

Less Melatonin means less sleep.
Less sleep means less dreams.
Less dreams means I can't talk to my subconscious about everything that is bothering me.

I love having Star Wars dreams. I sometimes feel that Obi Wan understands me better than anyone else that I know in real life! Whenever I tell anyone in real life about the things that are bothering me, they just push me away and ignore me.

Media / Words Alexa pronounces incorrectly
« on: September 24, 2020, 13:57 »
Do you have an Echo Dot or any another Alexa-enabled devices?
Has Alexa pronounced anything incorrectly for you?

What are your experiences?

My Echo Dot announced (after I asked it to play music I haven't heard in a while) that Take A Bow by Rihanna was the next song it was going to play. However, it pronounced bow wrong!

It pronounced bow like boat, as opposed to bow like bowel which is how it is supposed to be pronounced.

I still haven't properly started yet. Sometimes it takes me ages to motivate myself to do something.

Now that my family and I have properly moved everything to the new house, this is as good a time as any to start playing again.

My bad memories are resurfacing again.

I need to find an effective way to explain to my mum that my french teachers were impossible to learn from.

I've found one way to give her a japanese lesson in the same way my teachers taught french. I'm not sure how she will react.

Welcome to your very first japanese lesson. Understand this. Are you fluent yet?

If I did this to my french teachers, they would probably hate me, not that they didn't before.

Media / Re: Will I be able to record my keyboard this way?
« on: September 03, 2020, 20:21 »
My dad found the line in for me. I found an audio splitter on Amazon which works the way I had in mind, unlike the one I linked to before.

Now I need to get my dad to find a HDMI cable (we have plenty in the house) for the next part of my plan.

I'll be able to fully record myself playing my keyboard soon.

you could just use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord to go from the line in (Microphone port, normally red)

Do you mean that red port on the far right? If so, I've wondered what that was for a while!
Edit: As it turns out, my speakers are plugged into that one. I only noticed it on the picture when I saw it on Amazon. My dad was the one who put my pc together. That's why I didn't know.

My keyboard only supports 6.35mm, so I'll have to get a cable like this.

I don't think my pc has a line in port. I know you said it was overkill, but would the idea I came up with using the USB actually work, or would I end up with the noise problem I mentioned earlier?

I don't think my microphone port works as a line in port as well. I tried doing something similar with something else once, and the result was just this loud unpleasant screeching noise!

I've tried playback while recording through my webcam while wearing headphones just to experiment, and I get a bit of lag. Like I said in the first post, the backing tracks can be manipulated by playing chords, but my chord changes will be delayed if there is a bit of lag.

I know I could just record the keyboard while pointing a camera at it, but I don't want to record the thumping sounds of the keys being pressed.

I have this keyboard which I want to record myself playing.

I have an idea of how I could record it, but I'm not sure if it will work. It has a headphone socket which works as an aux socket too. Only a big headphone plug can fit into it, but the cable I plan to plug into it is a small one.

That shoudln't be a problem, as I found one of these on ebay earlier.

The cable I plan to plug into it is a headphone splitter which will allow me to plug two audio outputs into it.

Plugging headphones in one socket, I'll also be plugging this into the other, allowing me to record it on my pc with this and listen to it at the same time.

I should be able to record it in something like Audacity, right? There is a certain backing track I want to use to record a song for a friend. The backing tracks (not the ones in the video) can be manipulated to play whatever chords I like.
