Sun and Moon / Re: Wake-up Slap a Komala

"All special effects of moves based on the Sleep status condition affect this Pokémon."

So Wake-Up Slap should double its power when used against a Comatose Pokémon.

You may need to open your browser to see if your Wi-Fi hotspot needs a login. Other than that I don't know.

I was SOS chaining Trumbeaks, looking for its hidden ability Pickup, but found a shiny one instead. >.<

I didn't count the chain, but I would guess around 15.

I got this idea from a reddit post, it's a full Baton Pass chain for the purpose of SOS chaining for shinies and hidden abilities. All but the setup lead and end of chain catcher carry Recycle and Leppa Berry so they never run out of PP.

Vangoni - Smeargle @ Leftovers
[Moody]
- Ingrain
- Substitute
- Double Team
- Baton Pass

Setup passer that provides healing, evasion, a sub to prevent status and another layer of protection, as well as a bunch of stat boosts from Moody. Phazing from Roar/Whirlwind/Dragon Tail/Circle Throw is also prevented by Ingrain.

Shakoni - Smeargle @ Leppa Berry
[Moody]
- False Swipe
- Soak
- Recycle
- Baton Pass

The idea here is to get the initial Pokémon to 1 HP to increase the chance of it calling for help, as well as later on when you need to switch to the other enemy poke due to the first one nearly running out of PP. Soak allows it to hit ghost types. Moody adds more boosts which are passed to the next Pokémon.

<Japanese name> - Smeargle @ Leppa Berry
[Technician]
- Icicle Spear
- Entrainment
- Recycle
- Baton Pass

This or the next Smeargle's job is to KO Pokémon and find out their ability using Entrainment (which is also useful for getting rid of Insomnia etc. before catching). Icicle Spear for hitting through Sturdy and types it matches well against, or Aerial Ace on the next Smeargle to hit through evasion and do better against other types.

Artacia - Smeargle @ Leppa Berry
[Own Tempo]
- Aerial Ace
- Entrainment
- Recycle
- Baton Pass

Farbeagle - Smeargle @ Silk Scarf
[Technician]
- Spore
- Hold Back
- Aerial Ace
- Soak

The catcher which I've been using during my playthrough, which will end the chain.

I also have a False Swipe Decidueye for Riolu and other fighting types that use Final Gambit, being immune to most of their moveset due to the ghost type. A Damp Parasect for catching exploding Pokémon is most likely the next Pokémon I will make.

If anyone needs help teaching Smeargle any move just ask. The only problem move was Baton Pass which required me to use wild Ditto to learn the move by transforming into one of my Pokémon (that only knew Baton Pass thanks to the move deleter) and then switch to Smeargle and sketch it.

I'd like a Litten. Gender, natures, IVs, and moves don't matter. I just want one to train and breed. I could give you a Pheromosa if you have Sun. I also can breed you a Mareanie as well. No HA Pokémon as I have yet to find one.

Guess I was confused as you quoted my entire post, rather than just the bit at the bottom.

HA Pokémon are only found by SOS chaining. Sometimes it will be obvious if they have the HA, such as Vulpix summoning hail or Smeargle gaining/losing stats from Moody, other times you need to use a move like Entrainment or Skill Swap to find it.

But yes, a Pheromosa would be great.

Well it's pretty necessary to use this KO method if you're resetting for a specific nature etc., due to the long dialogue and auto save after beating the Elite Four.

Working on catching non legendary Pokemon before challenging the Elite Four again to have another chance to capture Tapu Koko.

I didn't take any notice before as I was further behind and not interested in spoilers, but there was no need to battle the Elite Four again. Just KO Tapu Koko the first time, then go back to the place and touch the statue. Worked for me.

What do you want in return?

Are you asking for a level 1 HA Smeargle or a ready made Pokémon with the complete moveset? Obviously if it was the latter I would ask for more.

Telling me what good stuff you have would be a start.

Actually I prefer a dead forum to an alive one, for if it were alive my posts would get swamped with 100s of other posts and would never get noticed.

Sun and Moon / Re: Mega Rayquaza + Z Move = OVERKILL!
« on: December 13, 2016, 13:48 »
Z-Crystals can't be tricked, they work in a similar manner to Mega Stones in that they can't be removed from a Pokémon by using a move.

Sun and Moon / Event moves can be relearned!
« on: December 13, 2016, 13:45 »
The move relearner can be used to relearn event moves that it previously knew, as well as egg moves. My Snorlax was able to relearn Happy Hour.

I'm guessing this would work with any move that had been forgotten, such as transfer only moves once Bank is working.

It doesn't work. Rayquaza can't mega evolve if it's holding a Z Crystal.

I have Timid Moody Smeargles, don't know the IVs yet as I haven't reached the IV judge yet.

Not for competitive battles, but I believe a set like this would be perfect for setting up and then baton passing to a Pokémon used for SOS chaining that has Recycle + Leppa Berry..

Smeargle @ Leftovers
Ability: Moody
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ingrain
- Substitute
- Double Team
- Baton Pass

You're basically unkillable and protected from status once you you've done a full set up.

Anyone have a Litten? I can trade with you from Dec 31st on. I don't mind the gender or nature and egg moves can be optional.

Sure, I can save one for you.

I prefer Meowth for Pickup as it's harder to accidentally evolve it due to happiness requirement. I have all 3 Alolan starters (2 are females) as well as regular ability Serperior and a Ditto to breed with. I'm mostly going to focus on beating the game first but can breed if anyone needs.

Sun and Moon / Re: Battle Tree Troubles
« on: December 12, 2016, 00:09 »
This is intended, a move affected by Prankster will fail when used against a dark type. Also they nerfed confusion so the opponent will only hit themselves in confusion about 30% of the time. And the speed drop from paralysis was changed to 50% speed from 25% speed.
