Well, I just checked the US Pokémon website and the UK website. Unless this is some sort of elaborate hoax (which, given the names I thought it was), this looks to be confirmed.

I hope they bring back Secret Bases. Toss in a ton of extra customization options and I shall be a happy ninja. Oh, and maybe the art style of X and Y, trainer customization, etc. You know, keep the things people liked.

Comercially, this is not convincent.

Pokémon was released the 12th of October of 2013, and another game of that kind only a year after could mean that Nintendo could not sell enough Pokémon X and Y units. Although... who knows if PokéManiacs will make the L4D case happen again?

Third Generation was good for me (my third favourite, actually), but... it might happen that Hoenn will be like "Snake Eater" for 3DS: in both world, a lot of details exist, and Snake Eater was precisely rated down because of the excessive rendering time. I hope this does not happen with those, if they actually are released given this date.

uh i'm fairly sure nintendo sold a ton of xy units? it got a lot of people back into pokemon because of the uniqueness of it (ie, customisation, 3dness, etc) and this will play on people's love of hoenn - lots of people will go "oh my god i love ruby/sapphire/emerald and i already have a 3ds so let's get it" cause heck i know i'm buying one for me and for my brother who hasn't played pokemon since he threw down black in a fit of anger cause he was super stuck

plus people will still buy xy. i've seen so many people online who are still look like the basic trainers meaning they probably only just started

Well, as I said before, L4D case can be fairly similar; L4D2 was launched exactly one year after L4D and they are still top-percentage sellers. Because of fandom, VALVe, discounts and hats. Pokémon might be the next similar thing, as I can see thanks to your geek approach enthusiasm.

My boyfriend showed me these today and... idk what to think. I mean, the box art looked kinda official but the video showed no gameplay footage and didn't look very Nintendo-y to me.

Maybe it's just me being weird or whatever, I mean Hoenn remakes have got to the point where any announcement is in automatic doubt, but eh.

ALSO, alpha is Arceus' species name, and shiny creation trio from gen V xD (I'm adamant these will do something eventually even though they obvs won't =P)
