I have a friend who's just generally quite bad at every game he plays. He's a good sport and generally fun to play with (even if it costs us the win) so I took his advice and bought the recent Mortal Kombat for something to do over the Easter holidays.

He's really good at this game.

I looked through his statistics and on one character he has about 200 wins and 27 losses. It would't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that his main is the character that I was aiming to main.

The game is fantastic but I'm not clicking with any of the characters. Ferra/Torr was my go-to since I figured they would play like Solomon Grundy from Injustice but I'm not getting anywhere with my combos lol.

I'll probably check YouTube for some tips.

I was in bed by 8.00pm on Friday cause I had to be up for work at like 4am 0/10 would not recommend

Last night was pretty crappy tbh like £40 for the whole thing. The food was nice and there was free pizza at the end which was good. Honestly though that was the worst ceilidh I'd been to in my life like???? The guy was shouting the instructions over the band while they were playing so when we started it just didn't work at all. The Virginia reel had weird moves and the first normal strip the willow was a train wreck. Orcadian one wasn't as bad and was mental as usual. Plus there was only 4 of us from band there and it was so awkward. Even as we got drunk it was still awful. I'll know not to go next year lmao

I'll probably check YouTube for some tips.

That's what I did for a few of my characters in smash bros. I thought cloud was going to play pretty much like Ike (yeah, the radiant hero's playstyle is called footsies), but Cloud is more of a pressure/keep away character without limit. You should pressure with short hop nairs and dairs then charge limit every chance you get. It's really interesting what you can learn on YouTube if you do some digging. Also, just do some more practice, because that alone can help you discover some things (Fox's dash attack not good for comboing? Ha, yeah right).

I hate daylight savings.

^ Managed to get a short combo for D'vorah and there's this annoying combo spam with Alien that's difficult to block.

Gonna have to swallow my pride and go back to my original gym tomorrow. Really hate the way that the gym is going because it's ridiculous and poorly managed and I'll go through phases where I'm livid because of this and decide that I don't want to go but it's the only gym where I'll feel comfortable unless I go through that awkward phase where I don't know how anything works again idk.

Uni gym is literally multiple meat-heads hogging an individual pieces of equipment but thankfully cardio is "gay" so they're afraid to use the cardio stuff incase it's a catalyst that turns them into the demi-gay or something. Fortunately the cardio equipment in uni is out of this world - they don't know what they're missing.

Oh and my friend is really weird and just generally a dick and it really gets under my skin.

My main thing against him is that he tries acting "alpha" all of the time because he's insecure about his masculinity and it's really annoying because he tries being a bit of a "lad" and this literally consists of saying "man the harpoons!" when any girl who isn't stick-thin comes up to us or goes past.

Like...? I don't get him. He's sometimes okay but he's such a close-minded and insecure dick who is either a massive hindrance to us or he's just unpleasant to be around.

His standards are higher than the Empire State so I can only imagine that he's one of those guys who has had their minds defiled by excess amounts of porn because he's punching far beyond his weight as it is.

He's actually trying to gain muscle at the moment but he's completely ignoring my advice because he's so sure that he's right about something he's completely new to. If he could squat more than the bar I would let him snap his stuff up tbh just as a lesson in humility.

I was like that last night, was just absolutely shattered! Hope you made your class okay!

So in the space of like 10 hours I seem to have gone from a tickly throat to a chesty cough!! I'm really hoping my asthma doesn't rear its ugly head again because I'm not registered with a dr here and I'd hate to cause a fuss hahaha.
I've got a blue and a brown puffer though so hopefully that will keep things at bay. I hate taking my blue one cause it gives me weird palpitations and shakiness for like 20 mins???

I almost pulled an all-nighter Saturday night/Sunday morning. I fell asleep at half 6 and woke up at half 9. This was at a friend's house, and I spent the whole night making levels in Super Mario Maker.

Needless to say, I have eye-bags the size of Jupiter and am still feeling the effects.
