X and Y/OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire / Roller Skates

Hear me out, I grew up with X and Y but like one thing I've always hated about it is that I could never get rid of the roller skates and the only way i could get "rid" of it was either use the d pad or the bike. Did anyone else have an experience with gen 6 like this?
