Gaming / Monster Hunter Stories
« on: September 16, 2017, 23:15 »
I need to know if anyone else has even heard about this game (and rant about how good it is.)
It’s deceptively simple on first look, collect monsters and battle them with a rock/paper/scissors battle style, but there is something so addictive about the whole thing. I’ve basically been playing it for three days straight. The animations in and out of battle are well done and I think that this is one of the most adorable games of all time. Traversing the maps with your monsters feels and the battles feel satisfying. I got this game as a time waster and ended up with an amazing game and I don’t see myself stop playing any time soon. I would recommend this game to everyone, but especial to Monster Hunter fans and people who like collecting things in game (There is a bit of a Pokemon feel to getting all the monsters.)

Has anyone else played this game? If so what did you think of it?

10/10. Bread, bread everywhere. Only on this site that's a good thing, In real life having too much bread can lead to dire consequences.

10/10. I instantly recognize your sig, avatar and name.
Also noticed you registered on this site about a month after me and have done so much more than me.
(Although it's not hard to do more than me on this site.)

I'll keep them as they are mainly because I can't imagine the characters in that group looking any different. (I love character and world building, it's my favourite part of writing. I've designed lots of characters and worlds that I never really intend to write about, just because it's a fun process.)

Very slowly writing a fantasy book. I keep getting sidetracked by non-relevant characters and plot points. Also I gave a draft to a friend who made me think that there might be some negative implications of the group of (Mainly) villains in the story who have black armour and most of them have blonde hair and blue eyes. I didn't think anything of it until my friend brought it up and now I don't know if I should change it or not.

I have accidentally got the wrong drink at a vending machine. To make matters worse this is the second time I've brought the wrong drink at this vending machine. I have been outsmarted by a vending machine twice now. (This is the most first world problem ever)

So i should be writing, but instead im sitting here googling the answers to these questions because dammit, nobody can beat me at procrastination.

How dare you. Procrastination is one of my three major skills along with over complicating things and tripping over. (Seriously I am really good at tripping, it doesn't matter how flat the ground is or what speed I'm moving or if I'm moving at all I could just randomly trip over nothing at any time. The only areas where I don't trip is on rough ground oddly)

Long story short, Kanga was aged mentally and left physically unchanged due to an experiment screw up. I'm wondering, could Kanga breed since his body probably thinks he's older than he actually is?

I don't think so. I don't think mental age can actually affect how the body works internally, so if the body hasn't developed to the required point then it just physically can't do what you want it to. Then again I have little to no experience with biology so I could be wrong.

Are there really 802 pokemon? I mean when Pokemon evolve its not like actual evolution, it happens to most Pokemon during their lifespan and each member of a species will always evolve into the same thing (A Charmander will evolve into a Charmeleon and nothing else) so different evolutionary stages could be considered age or maturity differences and we don't consider kids and adults different species. So should we only count each evolution line once and find out how many actually different Pokemon there are. (I am too lazy to do this myself.)

Typing "How to chill out" into google hasn't returned any useful suggestions so I'm still super mad although I can't quite remember why.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but I'm really good at procrastinating. I'm the best person I know when it comes to doing anything but the given task. I get really amazing at it when I try and sit down and write. Anything can and will distract me at that point. I need to be saved from my lazy ways :(

Edit: Tried to go to sleep and the stupid fire alarm went off. At 11:20. Why?

Did anyone nickname their Solgaleo/Lunaala anything other than Nebby?
Ok, I'm gonna rant for a bit so you can just ignore this paragraph. Am I the only person who is starting to get a little bored at everyone ever calling the legendary Nebby. I know one other person who named it something else. And no calling it Nebula barely counts as calling it something else. My Lunala is Artemis so my Solgaleo can be called Apollo.

In other news completed the Pokedex and got a 50 win streak in the battle tree last Friday and now I don't know if there is anything left for me to do in this game.

^Remove the space between Snow and paw and you have a Warriors name.
It's been so long since I've done anything related to Warriors, yet I still remember most of it fondly.

In Pokemon I have almost finished the Pokedex. All I need to do is level up a few more Pokemon and trade with a friend for Solegeo, Buzzwole and the other sun exclusive UB that I don't remember. One of my Pheromosa beast boosts special attack and is capable of taking out the elite four on its own.

Entered the hall of fame. Still under level, but surprisingly nothing gave me too much trouble apart from one member of the elite four who gave me a lot of trouble and wiped my team once.

Shigure (Primarina, Lv 54)
Aeris (Lilligant, Lv 48)
Jaco (Ledian, Lv 46)
Schrodinger (Espeon, Lv 49)
Skulduggery (Alolan Marowak, Lv 48)
Layla (Kangaskhan, Lv 51)

Hit Poni island today. I have decided that my boy Guzma is my favourite character (Despite the fact that he and the ghost totem Pokemon are the only ones to wipe out my entire team)

Shigure (Primarina, Lv 41)
Aeris (Lilligant, Lv 40)
Jaco (Ledian, Lv 39)
Schrodinger (Espeon, Lv 40)
Skulduggery (Alolan Marowak, Lv 40)
Layla (Kangaskhan, Lv 39)

Starting to really feel the lack of EXP share, but I'm to proud to admit defeat and turn it on.
