Well I believe they are going to implement Black and White mechanics onto this one and not the old one, so yeah I think it'll become the "default". There is also Pokemon Online available. The interface and team building feature is really nice, but the standard of battles there leaves a lot to be desired... it was used mostly because it supports 2v2 and teams with less than 6 mons (for VGC).

I don't get why they made a second Shoddy when it's still made in Java. Correct the issues, please, like using another programming resource! Java suffers so much resource whoring and lag.

Especially when it's just going to be another Shoddy...

Go complain on their website, not here.

They don't listen either because they created it and use their superego to define nothing can ever be wrong with it.

Joeno

And we're not going to discuss other sites or their products here like that, so yeah, still need to go there to complain.

Mega bump but I just found this really useful team building tool. Gives you suggestions of partners for pokemon based on typing and ability:

Could someone give me a good mixed moveset for

Meganium

Item: Miracle seed

Nature: Impish

Level: 58

Richard and Blaziken

#68
Meganium is honestly the worst of all the starters, it's beyond bad.

Meganium@ Leftovers
{Overgrow}
Impish nature (+Defense, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Defense/ 6 Attack
Razor Leaf
Body Slam
Synthesis
Swords Dance

Swords Dance and try to OHKO Magikarp. Body Slam in case that Magikarp is actually a sleeping Charmander. Synthesis keeps you alive.

Note: Physical Meganium is horrible and walled by Steel types forever. Meganium in itself is a crappy support Pokemon whose best use is Light Clay Dual Screens. Even then, there are like 630 better options. .-.

Edit: Meganium gets Seed Bomb via HGSS tutor. Use that over Razor Leaf.

Frenzy Plant is a Grass type Hyper Beam, which sucks, since you do more damage with two Grass attacks over the course of two turns than you do in the 2 turns that you use Frenzy Plant (or any Hyper Beam move; 1 turn using it, the next completely helpless). Furthermore, the nature of your Meganium is lowering it's Sp. Attack, so Special attacks aren't even viable on yours.

Zy

Fresh new damage calc that suppots Generation V.

The Smogon Calc is being updated to Gen V, but this is much more simplistic. If you prefer PO over Shoddy, this is your calc.

I've been using that calculator for like 4 months. Really not so new. But it is helpful.

I need my UU team rated!

Lead: Empoleon @ Leftovers
Torrent
Calm [+SpD -Att]
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

Stealth Rock
Scald
Ice Beam
Roar

Basically, what Empoleon is supposed to do is set up Stealth Rocks to weaken any Flying-types for my sweeper, Scrafty. Other than that, he can just wall and Roar any other threats.

Core Pkmn1: Heracross @ Flame Orb
Guts
Jolly [+Spe -SpA]
252 Att / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Facade

Heracross is there to rip a hole in the opponent's team including anything that might have a super-effective move against Scrafty; in other words, Hercross is for coverage. It also can get rid of speedy Flying-types with its Jolly nature and Stone Edge (not to mention draw them out as well).

Core Pkmn2: Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
Adamant [+Att -SpA]
252 Att / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Earthquake
Outrage
Aerial Ace
Fire Punch

Flygon serves as my speedy revenge killer that can get rid of anything that knocks out one of my core pokemon. I also use it as a counter to Fighting-types with Aerial Ace -- one of Scrafty's gaping weaknesses.

Core Pkmn3: Raikou @ Life Orb
Pressure
Timid [+Spe -Att]
252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Calm Mind
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power Ice
Extrasensory

Raikou would be an obvious choice to include in my party, with a great stat-boosting move in Calm Mind, and counters to both Flying- and Fighting-types. Raikou can also serve as an unexpected counter to any threatening Dragon-types that might have a super-effective move against Scrafty with a couple of Calm Mind boosts.

Core Pkmn4: Weavile @ Choice Band
Pressure
Jolly [+Spe -SpA]
252 Att / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Pursuit
Ice Shard
Low Kick
Ice Punch

I need something to draw out Fighting-types, right? Well, Weavile is perfect for that. It can also serve as a nice revenge killer -- or just killer period. Ice Shard can very effectively kill off anything that has less than half HP left should anthing be -- god forbid -- faster than this thing. I find it very good for the speedy Krookodiles that litter UU too.

Sweeper: Scrafty @ Lum Berry
Moxie
Jolly [+Spe -SpA]
252 Att / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Dragon Dance
Drain Punch
Crunch
Zen Headbutt

Now, for my beloved sweeper, and my favorite pokemon: Scrafty. I love this thing as a sweeper because of its excellent ability, Moxie and its access to Dragon Dance. You let this thing set up, and there's no stopping it. When all of its counters are eliminated, Scrafty can gain a free Dragon Dance on the switch-in and possibly another one if the opponent tries to put status on you. After two Dragon Dances, this thing is actually faster than most, if not all, of the UU tier. With its great attack, and the fact that most Fighting-types are dirt slow, Scrafty, thanks to Zen Headbutt, can also get rid of any Fighting-types that you couldn't get rid of before. Can you say 6-0 sweep?
