STABlocke challenge - SoulSilver

(1/2) > >>

quack98:
Hi everyone, I'm sure you're all familiar with a Nuzlocke challenge, well I'm attempting it with a bit of a twist. The rules I am using are:
-> First mon in each area only
-> If they faint, they're dead :(
-> Only STAB moves (at first available move, as starters don't have stab options straight away) are allowed, as well as status moves of any type.
-> Nicknames are always given
-> Pokémon with multiple evolutions (e.g. Eevee) will be decided randomly on their evolution.
-> If Saurus dies its Game Over (I'll probably keep playing, but I'll have failed the challenge)
Challenge Update:

Part 1: To Mr. Pokémon!
-> Received Saurus (Chikorita), Meganiums my favourite 'mon, so I had to :D
-> Failed to catch sentret due to having not completed the catching tutorial :(
-> Saurus reached Lv. 6 and learned his first STAB move: Razor Leaf :D. Tackle can no longer be used.
-> Saurus reached Lv. 7
-> Reached CherryGrove city after severely depleting Pidgey population in route 29
-> Failed to catch weedle due to having not completed the catching tutorial :(
-> Saurus reached Lv. 8
-> Finally reached Mr. Pokémon's house!

Part 2: Nightmare on Elm's street

-> Got a phone Call from Elm, apparently 'Its a disaster'. Why do I doubt that?
-> Rival Battle 1!
My team:                                   Rivals team:
Saurus   Lv. 8                             Cyndaquil Lv. 5
-> Tackle (not to be used)           -> Tackle
-> Growl                                    -> Leer
-> Razor Leaf
I just spammed razor leaf an won :D
-> Reached New Bark Town
-> Got accused of stealing a mon! But Lyra saves the day, and We tell the officer it was Javert.

Part 3: Violet Skies

-> Finally get taught how to catch more 'mon, the STABlocke'll get better now, how come Lyra gets Marill as a starter anyways?
-> Saurus reached Level 9 and learned poison powder :D
-> Entered route 46, encountered geodude Lv. 2, and caught it, nicknamed Roxanne, should be helpful against Falkner.
-> Reached Cherrygrove, entered route 30.
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 3
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 4 and learned mud-sport (possibly the most useless move on the game :( )
-> Entered route 31
-> Encountered weedle Lv. 4, caught it, nicknamed Buzz (for evolution)
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 5 (Kakunas give a plethora of Exp!)
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 6
-> I reached Violet city

Part 4: Bellsprout, Really?

-> Ok, I'm gonna be saying Bellsprout loads, so I'm shortening it to BS
-> 2 BS in and Buzz levelled up to Lv. 5
-> Another 2 BS and buzz is Lv. 6
-> 2 more BS and he's Lv. 7, and he Evolved and so learned harden
-> BS ARE SO ANNOYING!!!
-> Another 3 BS and Buzz is Lv. 8
-> 2 Level 6 BS later and Buzz is Lv. 9, I'm going to grind outside to get him to Lv. 10 (and so evolve him) Before facing Elder Li (awesome name GF)
-> Whilst walking around sprout tower I encountered a Gastly, and caught it, nicknamed it Jason (not sure why)
-> Buzz reached Lv. 10, evolved and learned Fury Attack. Unfortunately he can't use fury attack, due to STABlocke
-> Battled against elder Li, Buzz beat both of the BS and Roxanne beat HootHoot.
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 7
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 8, and learned rock polish

Part 5: The zephyr Badge
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 9
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 10
-> Roxanne reached Lv. 11 and learned rock throw in place of tackle
-> Saurus reached Lv. 10

Les Mis fan? Or is that just me.

quack98:
Not a fan, but yeah that's where it's from :D. I had one of the songs in my head at the time.

Wolstenholme:
That made me laugh a lot

As did this.

quack98:
Probably not the best wording.
