Snow Sheep (with a twist!)
« on: August 30, 2013, 14:13 »
Well, here I am again! I whipped together something rather quickly, so pardon if it's visually crude. As for the concept... I'll let the pic speak for itself:

Inspired by a picture I saw where a bunch of sheep were eating grass in the snow. Height and weight for both whenever I can think of 'em.
Minor edit: added more "icicles" on Luchilldor's "mask" to make it look more luchador-like.

For abilities I was thinking:
Snoyew: Thick Fat
Luchilldor: No Guard/Scrappy

Snoyew's base stats:
HP: 70
Attack: 40
Defense: 65
Sp. ATK: 40
Sp. DEF: 65
Speed: 35
BST 315

Luchilldor's base stats:
HP: 90
Attack: 120
Defense: 75
Sp. ATK: 45
Sp. DEF: 65
Speed: 70
BST 465

Not aiming for the higher tiers at all here, though I hope I didn't shortchange Luchilldor TOO much. Snoyew with Eviolite might be a fun Pokemon for the Little Cup tier, though...?

Can't think of a full learnset for either of them atm, but Luchilldor would definitely know some wrestling-style Fighting moves and probably Icicle Crash. I can picture Snoyew getting Ice Ball and Cotton Guard if you wait to evolve it...

As always, input is welcome!

I think Luchilldor should get Submission, Circle Throw, Stomp, Superpower, Rock Slide, Avalanche, Ice Punch, Vital Throw, Night Slash, Thunderpunch and maybe Cross Chop? Similar to Machamp I guess, but you can decide...

^Oh, Avalanche! Didn't even think of that myself. Probably wouldn't be the best user of it, though. Night Slash seems a bit of a stretch imo, neither sheep-like nor luchador-like. Submission, Circle Throw, and Superpower were the first Fighting-type moves that came to my mind, too. Stomp sounds good for a level-up move for Snoyew in particular. Thunderpunch for Luchilldor sounds neat, but I'm not sure if it really suits it. As for the rest of the moves, they seem pretty reasonable too.

Anyone else have anything to add?

@Liam: Huh... I forgot about Cotton Spore. Maybe as an egg move? Cotton Guard definitely for Snoyew, though.
@ShinyBlaziken2000: Mm, I'm not sure. From what I've read about Storm Throw, it's based of a Judo technique... but I guess that didn't stop Pinsir from learning it, apparently. Flavor-wise, I'm just not feeling it 100%.

^Well, in Snoyew's case, I see it as more of one to Growl than to Leer. I did think of Scary Face for Luchilldor, though. =)

Just curious in general: moves aside, does everything else about Snoyew and Luchilldor seem okay? My main concern is the stats. Like I said, wasn't exactly aiming for the higher tiers, but would Luchilldor stand a chance outside of NU? I'm guessing not, since its typing is a bit of a setback and all its other stats are lackluster save for its high Attack.

I'd say he'd be a middle tier NU mon, he's got a poor typing defensively, and would probably be overlooked in favour of Sawk, who is faster and more powerful, and resists stealth rock.

One more thing, he's weak to flying as well ;)

That'd be another problem: NU is littered with birds that are faster than him (See Swellow, Pidgeot, Dodrio) most of which can do huge damage with brave bird, not sure exactly how much, it may even be OHKO's.

Actually no, the ice type negates the flying weakness.

Flying vs fighting: x2
Flying vs. ice : x0.5

combine and flying will do just x1

If you boosted the speed to 67, added 5 HP, added 10 attack and gave the defenses 11 extra points, I think then it would stand a better chance outside of NU.

Stats:
HP : 95
Attack: 130
Defense : 76
SAtk: 45
SDefense: 76
Speed: 67

It resists Ice, Bug, and Dark...

and SB, no, Ice does not negate the weakness to flying actually.
