Most people have it displayed on there profiles anyway ;)
As for the actual topic, good luck with your game, but I don't have many ideas for Pokémon.
-
Pm message me, I could give some starter ideas. Also, wouldn't this fit under fake whatever?

I came up with a couple. How about a Sphinx Pokemon that has the snake headband and the snake is alive. It evolves into a larger sphinx with huge wing that are normally folded when in the sphinx resting postion and a living three snake headband. Their names are Sphynx and Sphynoix respectively. They are also part Ground. Sphynx is Ground/Psychic and Sphynoix is Ground/Flying. Also Sphynoix is over ten feet tall and very heavy looking.

^ I think an Anubis pokemon would be better.

Isn't that just Lucario...
-
It is? I hate Lucario with a burning passion. I mean the one with the cat ears and the bird face (that's Anubis right?)

No, Anubis is the jackal headed one...
& according to Rick Riordan is attractive... (I don't know if you've read the Red Pyramid, but that's the reference...)

No, your both wrong! That would be the awesome looking, dog-like pokemon with spikes on its hands that can shoot and sense aura, that also happens to look like Anubis.

We were describing Anubis, not Lucario...

Sphynoix in my mind would have a resemblance to the Great Sphinx in Egypt but I forgot to say it also has a long curved beak. I was thinking it is one of the heaviest Pokemon and may look sluggish but that's where you are wrong. It has an incredible high Speed stat and the Pokedex entey states that it can cause an earthquake when it lands and its wings are so large it blocks out the sun while flying. Does that make it sound cooler?
-
If you we're going to do a huge Sphinx one I would think it would battle competitively as a wall.
-
^I was think that too mainly because its headband has three living snakes that can attack opponents. I was also thinking of a new ablility for the sphinx Pokemon called Riddle. Before each turn the text says, "Sphynx/Sphynoix asked [Pokemon facing] a riddle." The ability then will randomly decide if the questioned gets it right or wrong. If it's right the message will then say, "[Pokemon] answered the riddle correctly!" If it is wrong the message says, "[Pokemon] answered the riddle wrong! Sphynx/Sphynoix strikes back." The Pokemon then gets damage equal to the amount given by Rough Skin and Iron Barbs.

Yep that's really cool

Here's the basic animal the starters are based off of, you can go in depth on your own.
Water: A Wolf(?) with final typing to be water/dark
Fire: Maybe a tiger that starts off cute than turns into a strong, good looking tiger. Final typing is pure fire
Grass: A floating seed that in its final form turns into a bunch of beautiful flowers. Pure grass
-
How about a lobster type Pokemon clad in metal plates? It's typing is Water/Steel and it is called Lobsteel.
-
That could be the starter!
-
It should be "Lobstiel" so it's not too much a give away to what type it is.
-
^Good point. I was thinking its level up moves include Crabhammer (of course!), Bullet Punch, Metal Burst, and Iron Head. I came up with the idea for this Pokemon around the same time as Gen 3 was announced.
-
Lobsteel and Lobstiel are decent names, but I'm sure Clobster would work better. Since the words "clobber" and "lobster" are much closer to each other than "lobster" and "steel," they mix pretty well. Its name would also recognize Crabhammer.
It doesn't sound too much like Cloyster either. It's only that close in spelling if you noticed.
-
Maybe that can be it's evolution!
Lobstiel sounds kind of middle evo is, it needs a name for the basic pokemon.
-
Yes, because I'm sure CJ was planning for Lobstiel's pre-evolution to be "Rockster," if I remember correctly.
-
Sarcasm levels rising!
ermmmm.... how about Shrympe pronounced Shrimp-ee or something like that?
-
Eh... I was being serious. He really did try to post this on other, older topics with a prevo called "Rockster" included... or something. Look up old topics, you thing.
Shrympe? Where's the combination of words?
-
Not every Pokemon name is a combo of words! think about..........Lugia. That's not two words slammed together!
-
Lugia is very well 2+ words slammed together, I'd have to tell you. Shrympe is a name to be given to an ordinary shrimp. It should have attributes, behavior, physiology, and typing, some of which should be hinted at in the name, or else it's something strangely plain. I think there's more to be told about this Pokémon where its name is other than just "Shrympe."
-
I couldn't think of anything else :(
-
Shrympedo? Maybe, that's the best I can do.
-
You sniped me, pig.
Well, other than Rockster, for a shrimp prevo, I'd think of Shrimpnel, which is Shrimp + Shrapnel, usually a metal chunk flying from an explosion, as well as a solid bullet, so the name holds Steel-typing. That is if we're so focused on a Shrimp Pokémon.
-
But wouldn't the first evo be pure water, usually?
-
Not necessarily and I wouldn't say usually, unless you mean Mudkip, which is understandable, since it's a starter and those are, in fact, usually single-typed to begin with. I was deciding on something Water/Steel; however, pure water could also be decided upon, why not? As long as it's nothing generally plain namewise, since that's most of what we need so far. For a pure water-type, the name should include something other than a word that would refer to its typing, perhaps one that refers to its other qualities, such as its physiology or behavior.
-
Yeah, I thought it would be:
Water-> Wtaer/Steel -> Wtaer/Steel
As the only starter to not fit that is Bulbasaur. Steel also wouldn't work on stage one due to it making a neutrality to fire, which would break the triangle at stage one. If that doesn't matter, then sure ;)
-
But this doesn't necessarily have to be a starter, though there was a mention, as always. ;)
And even if it is, Fire and Grass could always be paired up with a second type to set up neutralities there, at least, to make it look even.
Bulbasaur is the only dual-typed, basic-stage starter, and if we're hoping for CJ's idea to be a starter, we're only encouraged to have the Pokémon follow in Bulbasaur's footsteps and bear dual-types also at basic stage.
-
I'm not sure but have they done a hamster Pokemon
-
Well, here one idea. It's from a topic I created, but hasn't been replied to. So I'll make some good use of my (lack of) imagination.
My Pokemon:
Name: Keyzer
Speicies: Key
Ability: Sturdy
Type: Steel
Description: Two allen keys that are somehow attached to each other which act as arms. At the center is a head made of steel. It can somehow hover through the air. One swings of it's arms will cause serious damage!
This is as about as creative as I'm gonna get! ;)
