Title: Birdo? Male or female?
Post by: The name master on February 07, 2016, 18:24
Birdo is a popular, well-known character in the Mario series, but one question is unanswered: is birdo male or female?

Wikipedia says:

"The original manual for Super Mario Bros. 2 asserts that Birdo is a boy, who thinks he is a girl"

Then it says:

"However, several games portray her as male"

What do you think?

Well, the debate about Birdo being a male or a female has been going on for a while.

I think it's pretty obvious.

The answer is yes.

she was confirmed trans female at one point, so she's female. end disscussion, it doesn't get any more complicated than that

EDIT: On looking it up they tend to leave her gender ambiguous or refer to her as a female

OK. Here's a new discussion. Why does bowser kidnap the Princess?

It's probably just part of their kink then Mario comes in and ruins their foreplay.

Unless it's all from Mario's perception and he's a "nice guy" who tries being "nice" to Peach in the hopes that she'll go with him but then someone she's actually attracted to (Bowser) comes along and they go off together and he's posting on /r9k/ about how some Chad stole his girl and how he's going to break them up but in reality he shows up at his house and starts screaming "reeeeeeeeeeeee!" whilst jumping up and down and Bowser's like "okay, bro, just take her man, sheesh".

Birdo= Video Games' first transgender!

I thought it was stated that Bowser kidnapped Peach at first to break a curse placed on him but after that he just did it to try to get revenge on Mario.

Go eat your eggs! Force fed, force fed. Go eat your eggs! Out of his mouth...........straight at your head!

With purple pants,
They start to tear, I reach out with all my might to
Poke out an eye.
I poke out an eye!
I poke out an eye!

My seven year old smile: Vanishing! Eggs, Why eggs?!
It's breaking my heart, it's hurting my nose,
it's turning my skin green! Why did you have to be so mean?!

To elaborate what I said earlier about Bowser kidnapping Peach, the story I heard goes like this: Bowser was a normal human that got cursed and turned into the being we know him as. In order to break this curse and turn back normal, he needs a Princess to fall in love with him and give him a kiss. So he takes Peach because she meets the criteria and none of the other Princesses existed yet but it could be said that they were too far away and Peach was the closest. Mario goes to save Peach not knowing the true reason behind the kidnapping and defeats Bowser before he gets a chance to explain his situation to her. Bowser then vows revenge on Mario for his defeat and now simply uses Peach as a lure to draw Mario into his plots forgetting why he kidnapped Peach and the curse in the first place. It is basically a version of Beauty and the Beast where the Beast never got turned human at the end of the story.

New discussion. Why does Wario love money?

He was created to specifically be Mario's opposite and thus the greed factor. The SML: 6 Golden Coins manual said this. Wario is never satisfied with what he got so he goes after more treasure and money to try to satisfy his greed.

Well, that's satisfied my greed to know why Wario is such an ass! New discussion! Are the Koopalings Bowser's children? Where's Bowser's wife? You can't have children without a mother!

Are the Koopalings Bowser's children?

yes and i care not what shigeru miyamato says about bowser jr being bowsers only kid. i luv the idea of bowser being semi-competent single father to a bunch of rowdy megalomaniac kids.

bowser jr is a massive clueless weenie and would be beaten up by all the koopalings so that canon should be fired out of a cannon

So he can take over the mushroom Kingdom in her absence.

OR

Force her to sign her Kingdom over to him.

Bowser took Peach at first to break a curse but then Mario rescued her before he could explain things to the Princess. Bowser has since then forgotten all about breaking the curse and mainly takes Peach to use as bait to trap Mario in his revenge schemes.
