(I know most of you Americans will have finished the game already but still! )
So what's your team just now?
I'm currently in rustboro, training a little for the gym.
Lilli - Treeko lvl 12
Poe - Surskit lvl 9
Alice - Ralts lvl 10
Ava - Taillow lvl 10
Not sure if I'm going to copy my old sapphire team or just make a new one, undecided yet.
-
I IV/nature bred my team for OR before the games were out, and my team for that is
Blaziken lv. 100
Gardevoir lv. 100
Salamence lv. 100
Manectric lv. 100
Vaporeon lv. 100
Gardevoir lv. 100
I am beginning an AS Nuzlocke now with a competitive Pidgey starter. I've hardly done anything yet, so I have
Pidgey level 6
Lotad level 4
Gonna be rough, but we'll get through it!
-
I just downloaded the shiny Beldum with mega stone off Mystery Gift, resetted for a Jolly nature (not caring about IVs, can breed later for that if I want a competitive one) and now I'm super training it. It will be useful in my Omega Ruby team because it has the special move Hold Back. Oh right, the team..
Mudder - Marshtomp (M) - Lv.20
Michu - Cosplay Pikachu (F) - Lv.20
Makit - Makuhita (M) - Lv.20
Nashia - Mightyena (F) - Lv.18 (has Fire Fang)
Buggle - Beautifly (M) - Lv.18
Shiny Beldum - Lv.5
I currently have 2 badges and I'm in Slateport City.
-
In spite of trying to take my time with the game, I find myself only one gym badge away from challenging the Pokemon League ^^; That said, I only have four regular member so far, and I think they're all Level 43 atm:
*Aquario/Swampert (Male)
*Sue/Hariyama (Female)
*Hawkeye/Skarmory (Male)
*Madam Reaper/Dusclops (Female)
The other two slots are currently vacant, save for some HM Slaves when necessary. I have a Marill who handles all the water-related stuff, and a Slakoth for cutting, smashing, shoving and secret base-making.
Think my fifth member should be a speedy Electric-type, dunno about the sixth yet. Gonna take things as they come.
-

Doing well and off to fetch my sixth badge~

Combusken (Richard) Lv 17
Poochyena (Ed) Lv 16
Mr. Wurmy (Beautifly) Lv 16
Shroomish (Greta) Lv 18
Makit (Makuhita) Lv 18
Just delivered the letter to Steven! *dreamy sigh* Team is definitely subject to change. I need Mega Altaria so I'll be getting a Swablu at my earliest opportunity. Shroomish is kicking ass all over the place so she can stay. Poochyena has been more useful than I anticipated at this point buuuuut it's probably the Ice Fang that's gotten me out of a few tight spots. Definitely need a water type. Considering Whiscash since I've always liked it but never used one!
-
Changed my team and leveled up a little:
Mudder - Marshtomp (M) - Lv.24
Nashia - Mightyena (F) - Lv.21 (has Fire Fang)
Buggle - Beautifly (M) - Lv.20
Zoga - Zigzagoon (F) - Lv.18
Shiny Beldum - Lv.16
Peppy - Wingull (F) - Lv.15 (has Brine)
-
Destroyer II - Mightyena (M) - lv. 40
Matrix - Manectric (M) - lv. 40
Yuk - Muk (M) - lv. 40
Birdy II - Swellow (F) - lv. 40
Tree-Top - Shiftry (M) - lv. 42
Skeptic - Sceptile (M) - lv. 40
I still only have 4 badges.. I think I need False Swipe right about now
-
3 Badges in, going for 4 soon.
Blaze/Combusken M (I got lazy) lv. 24
Kadabra M lv. 24
Kirlia F lv. 23
Chase/Electrike M lv. 24
Masquerain M lv. 25
As soon as I get the goggles (I have made lavaridge, so I should have them by now), I'm getting a trapinch.

JIGGLY - gardevoir - lvl 32
kushlord - breloom - lvl 32
swagpert - marshtomp - lvl 34
scrub king - swellow - lvl 32
STRAIGHTALLY - linoone - lvl 29
STRAIGHTALLY is a hm slave and idk what else to catch ;_;
-
Team is still the same except that I cheated a wee bit and transferred a Hippopotas over from Bank after PCing Makuhita since I have nothing that can deal effectively with Wattson. Greta is now a Breloom (and STILL kicking all forms of arse) and Ed is a Mightyena. Ed was dropped briefly for a Marill but it kept fainting so into the PC it goes. Beautifly continues to be surprisingly useful.
-
Just beat Norman, now going around surfing before continuing on my adventure.
Grovyle [33]
Swablu [31]
Grumpig [32]
Masquerain [32]
Hariyama [34]
Vigoroth [24]
Vigororth atm is my HM Slave. Masquerain has been surprisingly quite useful and has gotten me out of a few sticky situations, always loved Masquerain but purely on design as I've never used one - thought I would of boxed it by now. Just boxed my Gardevoir, I love her but I've used Gardevoir so much that I wanted to try something new.
-
Alice - Ralts lvl 10
ccc:
just out of mauville:
Adélaide - Surskit lvl 21
Aimé - Kadabra lvl 24 (25?? he's poisoned so i can't see his level)

Haunter - 25
Crobat - 27
Pikachu - 27
Marshtomp - 28
...
I just got the Mauville City gym badge :D speaking of which, I really like the new refurbished Mauville :3
I received a Gastly via Wonder Trade (which I used for far too long xD) and evolved it a few minutes ago :)
Crobat is brilliant :D I'm surprised I managed to evolve Golbat earlier than usual.
My Pikachu is the Cosplay Pikachu you get in Slateport and so far, so good :)
Anddd Marshtomp just rocks ;P
Love these games so far! :)
-
I finally managed to beat Norman. I only succeeded because I'd transferred a couple of fighting type Pokemon to Alpha Sapphire that I had on Bank.
I smashed Norman's face in no problem!
-
It turns out Meteor Mash isn't a particularly good contest move, and Thunder Shock, Spark or Thunderbolt are better, so I used the move relearner in Fallarbor Town to teach my Cosplay Pikachu Thunder Shock. It will be a while before it learns Thunderbolt, and I want a special attacking moveset since it has a Timid nature and I'm EV training it using Super Training. The extra speed will also give Electro Ball more power.
Omega Ruby Team:
Mudder - Marshtomp (M) - Lv.34
- Water Gun
- Mud Shot
- Mud-Slap
- Rock Slide
Metang (shiny Mystery Gift event) - Lv.34
- Hold Back
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt
- Bullet Punch
Nashia - Mightyena (F) - Lv.33
- Bite
- Fire Fang
- Strength
- Howl
Peppy - Pelipper (F) - Lv.33
- Brine
- Air Cutter

Michu - Cosplay Pikachu (F) - Lv.20
- Electro Ball
- Quick Attack
- Thunder Shock
- Thunder Wave
Skarmy - Skarmory (M) - Lv.19
- Peck
- Metal Claw
- Rock Smash
- Secret Power
-
Finally got myself a Swablu but levelling it up to match the rest of my team is taking forever. I just want to whup Flannery already.
-

AS Nuzlocke has come with 11 deaths so far, not been a fun ride. But my starter Pidgey's alive and well, and fully evolved. We've just arrived in Lilycove.
Victoria the Pidgeot@ Pidgeotite
Hurricane
Twister
Roost
Hidden Power Ground
Paul the Hariyama@ Rocky Helmet
Low Sweep
Knock Off
Fake Out
Surf (Temporary until I get a Water type)
Wanda the Camerupt@ Soft Sand
Earth Power
Lava Plume
Rock Slide
Magnitude
Dahlia the Vileplume@ Miracle Seed
Giga Drain
Sludge Bomb
Moonlight
Sleep Powder
Just caught an Adamant Heracross in the Safari Zone that I kinda want to use, but Hariyama has been with me since Dewford and saved the team multiple times, so I dunno if I want 2 Fighting types.
-
Currently at Lilycove:
Richard the Blaziken lv 41
Nick the Altaria lv 41
George the Hippowdon lv 41
Greta the Breloom lv 40
Theodore the Crawdaunt lv 40
...and Ziggy the HM Slave.
Having a bit of a dilemma about having two fighting types on my team. Thinking of replacing Greta with another grass type (possibly Tropius) before Wallace, or transferring something electric from Bank. I had an Eletrike for about five minutes but it kept fainting on me!
-
Never get rid of Richard the Blaziken, I've heard he's quite the battler :3
-
I definitely wouldn't! He's a bro! And I don't have another fire type lol.
Ugh I'm reluctant to drop Breloom because she's gotten me out of a few tight spots but I just don't know if I can justify two fighting types on my team. D:
-
My team changes a lot, now that I have beat the game, but when I cleared it, it was
Kenshin (Gallade)
Dianne (Gardevoir)
Axol (Swampert)
Metang
Tiki (Nuzleaf)
Sligoo
-
Chase the Manetric - 27 M
Blaze the Combusken- 26 M (not my highest? it's a crime, i know)
Kirlia - 27 F
Kadabra - 26 M
Masquerain - 27 M
Trapinch - 20 F (freshly caught)
-
Grumpig
Piloswine
Sealeo
Altaria
Medicham
HM slave: Vigoroth
deciding what I want to replace my HM slave... no idea yet. Currently training up my Sealeo and going through a couple of routes i've been meaning to visit (Sea Mauville etc) before taking on Mossdeep gym.
-
Transferred a Joltik over from Bank since Hoenn is sorely lacking in decent Electric types.
-
AS Nuzlocke has been coming together pretty well. We defeated Mossdeep Gym and I'm mostly just looking around for more Pokemon possibilities.
Victoria the Pidgeot level 43
Paul the Hariyama level 43
Wanda the Camerupt level 42
Dahlia the Vileplume level 43
Kurt the Banette level 43
Brianne the Sealeo level 33
Just caught the Sealeo in Shoal Cave. I repelled my way into the depths of the cave where Snorunt has 40% rate, but no luck. Not sure if I'll keep Sealeo, to be honest, I really don't care for this entire evolution line.
Also Claire, Manectric is good! I bred mine to have Hidden Power Ice, and with a final moveset of Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Hidden Power Ice, and Volt Switch, what more could you want? D:
...That said, Joltik is adorable, so you are forgiven!
-
Manectric is pretty cool looking, but the Electrike I had kept fainting on me and I'm impatient! P: Anyway I kept Blaziken, didn't I? ;)
Ugh I don't want to go to work I want to stay home and play OR ;m;
-
My Pikachu is awesome for both contests and battling! Its Electro Ball puts out an amazing amount of damage with a Timid nature and 252 Speed EVs, mostly because most of the AI Pokémon are so slow. If more damage is needed, Thunder Wave can increase its power by making the opponent much slower. Quick Attack is the only move it has that can hit Ground types though, which is annoying. I guess I'll teach it Icicle Crash or Draining Kiss once I've finished doing Coolness contests.
-
Added Abomasnow in anticipation of Wallace, so barring any more changes my end game line up will be:
Richard the Blaziken
Nick the Altaria
George the Hippowdon
Theodore the Crawdaunt
Peter the Galvantula
Rosie the Abomasnow
Though I'm having a hard time stopping myself from just steam rolling through everything with Mega Altaria.
-
Playing Omega Ruby first, but I own both. Just finished the E4 first time and some of the postgame, but not up to Delta Episode completion yet. Party is:
Lv58 Sceptile @ Sceptilite
Leaf Storm, Focus Blast, Secret Power, Dual Chop
Lv58 Flygon @ Amulet Coin
Earthquake, Fly, Stone Edge, Dragon Claw
Lv58 Sharpedo @ Mystic Water
Waterfall, Crunch, Earthquake, Dive
Lv58 Aggron @ Aggronite (Rock Head)
Double-Edge, Stone Edge, Brick Break, Iron Head
Lv57 Gardevoir @ Expert Belt (Trace)
Moonblast, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt
Lv58 Linoone @ [nothing] (Pickup)
Rock Smash, Surf, Strength, Cut
-
I bought the game earlier this week, and I haven't had much time to play. Here's my current team:
Taillow, level 20
Whismur, level 19
Grovyle, level 20
Zigzagoon, level 17
Ralts, level 16
Nincada, level 13
I just wanted to switch it up a little with some new pokemon I dont usually raise.
-
My Omega Ruby team has greatly improved since the last time I posted.. Some have good or perfect IVs and are EV trained, some don't.

Got crowned Champion not too long ago, and then some. So here's what my team looks like atm:
*Aquario/Swampert (Male)
*Sue/Hariyama (Female)
*Hawkeye/Skarmory (Male)
*Lita/Electabuzz (Female)
*Bernie/Typhlosion (Male)
*Missy/Bouffalant (Female)
Having lots of fun in-game with this team so far, but I have yet to test it in Random Matchup online (specifically Doubles). Only Sue, Lita and Bernie were Super Trained extensively, and even then I may have made some... eccentric choices with the EV distribution, so I'm pretty casual about it all.
-
Updated team!

-
I've caught a couple of post game legendaries in Omega Ruby, now I'm playing through Alpha Sapphire, and have 5 badges so far. The team, not including the 2 Linoone I trained to levels 35 and 25, named Ziggy and Zaggy, are:-
Bazella - Blaziken (F) Lv.41
[Blaze]
- Focus Energy
- Shadow Claw
- Blaze Kick
- High Jump Kick
This is a contest moveset, like I posted in Team Building (http://pkmn.net/forums/index.php?topic=105885.0), just lacking Hyper Beam. High Jump Kick was from from the move relearner. Also gives perfect in-game coverage for battles.
Sceptella - Sceptile (F) Lv.42
[Overgrow]
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Breath
- Crunch
- Leaf Blade
I bred this in X and transferred the level 1 Treecko near the start of my Alpha Sapphire game. It's HP Fire with 31 / 24 / 31 / 30 / 31 / 30 IVs, Super Trained, and I'll give it the proper TM moves when I find them.
Kooshy - Pikachu (F) Lv.41
[Lightning Rod]
- Volt Switch
- Electro Ball
- Nuzzle
- Draining Kiss
I plan on using this in a Cuteness contest when I find the Rest and Sleep Talk TMs.
Allotic - Milotic (F) Lv.41
[Marvel Scale]
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Rain Dance
- Water Sport
This Pokémon has been transferred from my original Sapphire game (at level 25 and never used in battle), in which is had already won Master rank in both Beauty and Toughness contests. And now it's won Master rank in Beauty again in this game. Rain Dance and Water Sport is the new combo, the old combo was Rain Dance and Surf (I previously had Hail and Blizzard too).
Mushella - Breloom (F) Lv.40
[Technician]
- Power-Up Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Spore
- False Swipe
I used the DexNav to get its hidden ability, though I didn't bother with getting Bullet Seed. I had to level this up as a Shroomish to level 40 to get Spore, now it's finally evolved.
-
I got on my team:
Nickname - Pokemon - Item
*No Nickname* - Sceptile - Sceptilite
*No Nickname* - Metagross - Metagrossite
Shrek - Loudred - Silk Scarf
*No Nickname* - Ludicolo - Sea Incense
Bermuda - Rayquaza - Razor Fang
They are the best team!
-
I've still only just finished the Primal Kyogre storyline in Alpha Sapphire, and this is the team I use for random PSS battles:
Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
Level: 50
EVs: 208 Atk / 4 Def / 46 Sp. Atk / 252 Speed
Naive nature
IVs: 28 / 18 / 31 / 31 / 10 / 31
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Stealth Rock -> Earth Power
- Calm Mind
Peppyon - Sylveon (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pixilate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD
Calm nature
- Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Protect
Latias @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 78 SpD
Calm nature
- Dragon Breath -> Dragon Pulse
- Psychic
- Psycho Shift (Refresh?)
- Recover
Allotic - Milotic (F) Lv.53 @ Sitrus Berry
[Marvel Scale]
EVs: 176 HP / 252 SpA / 46 SpD / 36 Def
Modest nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Disarming Voice
- Recover
Disarming Voice is to not miss against Sand Veil Sandshrew hordes when EV training Defense. The move Swift can be used for that purpose as well. This Pokémon has bad IVs and will need a replacement later to use in the battle box.
Flammella (Blaziken) (F) @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant nature
- High Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz
- Stone Edge
- Protect
Named after the Blaziken I used in the original Sapphire, this is the Pokémon I use to do most of the fighting, and has replaced my starter. The HP restoring O Power has been very useful as I rely on Flare Blitz a lot in game. Fully bred and trained in AS.
Sceptella (Sceptile) (F) @ Sceptilite
Ability: Overgrow
Level: 50
EVs: 248 SpA / 12 SpD / 250 Spe
Hasty nature
IVs: 24 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earthquake
The EVs are optimized for level 50 battles, and it's best to use 248 EVs instead of 252 when the IV is 30. I used the team builder in Showdown to make sure the last 4 EVs in each stat made a difference.
-
Still waiting on that Dawn Stone... My team for the E4 will be:
Gallade - M Gallade level 57 (WHEN I GET THAT DAWN STONE!!)
Zachariah - M Blaziken level 65
Mia - / Shedinja level 65
Andy - M Sharpedo level 63
Olivia - F Altaria level 64
Molly - F Banette level 63
Molly's subject to change; I have a few others trained up but I'm not sure whether they'll be subbed in or not.
I also accidentally let my Levi evolve into a Gardevoir at level 34, so I got my friend who also had a male Kirlia at level 24 to trade. Honestly haven't looked back; I really want my Gallade! Scall & Ion, will you give me my Dawn Stone please?
-
For normal play...
George the Blaziken
Held Item: Blazikenite
Nature: Quiet
Blurb: Good Perserverance
Moves:
Flamethrower
Blast Burn
Fire Pledge
Sky Uppercut
Background Info: Despite his abusive childhood, he's just the sweetest thing! Little did he know, he would have a rare mental disorder that would bring about headaches upon being entrusted with (rather sneakily) the appropriate Mega Stone (but only when Mega Evolutionary topics are discussed and he's within earshot). But, he's still going strong, even having just been teleported to Kalos! But he won't have that great of a time there, as he's constantly being harassed by the Great and Powerful Trixie, who at this point has become a god among her kind. Who knows? Maybe he'll find a caring and trusting owner at a time like this.
Kristoff the Mightyena
Held Item: Empty-Handed
Nature: Bold
Blurb: Somewhat Stubborn
Moves:
Ice Fang
Taunt
Crunch
Rock Smash
Background Info: Pathetic, Pessimistic, and Peculiar. Those are the 3 words Kristoff lives by. To go with his icy nature, this depressive doggy has Ice Fang. But don't worry. He's actually warm-hearted, and cares deeply about his friends! He even netted the initial Hoenn Championship, by survivng with a margin of HP left from Steven's Megagross's Giga Impact! That's how much of a boss he is!
Guybrush Threepwood the Linoone
Held Item: Empty-Handed
Nature: Modest
Blurb: A Little Quick Tempered
Moves:
Surf
Slash
Strength
Double Team
Background Info: Legs of a raccoon, heart of an adventurer! Feet on the ground, mind in the Seven Seas! Life of an adventuring soul, even when not adventuring! Destination: Monkey Island!
Chester the Gardevoir
Held Item: Gardevoirite
Nature: Hardy
Blurb: Quick Tempered
Moves:
Disarming Voice
Psychic
Draining Kiss
Attract
Background Info: A fabulous character shouldn't be taken lightly. This fine fellow, voiced by Jack Douglass in an impersonation of George Takei, likes to believe that at least. But, he has some secrets... He was once charmed by an infamous contest celebrity with an Altaria. When said celebrity turned out to be using a human guise to fool people into liking her (and revealed the fact that she was a siren, too), he hasn't liked her since, and he's been treated with extra care, too.
Mabel the Ludicolo
Held Item: Quick Claw
Nature: Bashful
Blurb: Likes to Run
Moves:
Waterfall
Dive
Water Pulse
Mega Drain
Background Info: Some say her mind is a puzzle to many... But, being the only girl, she has (or at least had) eyes for George. This kind of relationship was put on permanent hold when poor Georgie Peorgie was sent to Kalos, but her heart will go on.
John Hubert "Mr. Peepers" "Spike" Peebles the Beautifly
Held Item: Empty-Handed
Nature: Jolly
Blurb: Good Perserverance
Moves:
Giga Drain
Bug Buzz
Roost (in place of Secret Power)
Air Cutter
Background Info: He likes to fight and bite, but he has plenty of knowledge on plenty of subjects, and the bravery to show it. To me, these 3 tactics go hand in hand in combat. Power, Wisdom, and Courage... It sounds like he's been playing a bit too much Zelda.
-
Still waiting on that Dawn Stone...
Uh, might be a fair way back, but I believe there's a Dawn Stone in Victory Road. Failing that, there is a dawn stone available in the Super Secret Training minigames. There's a minigame with a Gallade and if you beat it without getting hit (hard to do, I know), you'll get a Dawn Stone :)
My team is currently:
Star (Swellow) - Lv44
Knight (Swampert) - Lv42
Eru (Gallade) - Lv41

Now for the contests~!
Chester the Gardevoir
Held Item: Gardevoirite
Preferred Category: Cuteness
Nature: Hardy
Blurb: Quick Tempered
Moves:
Disarming Voice
Psychic
Draining Kiss
Attract
Background Info: OK, I said he was charmed by a certain "celebrity" who had an Altaria, now I'll reveal her name: The celebrity who was really a siren is named Lisia, and the Altaria's name is Prince Ali. Now that he's no longer affected by the siren's spell, he's actually got quite the case of stage fright whenever he sees her...
The Kricketune (technically named Dledleewhoop)
Held Item: Red Scarf
Preferred Category: Coolness
Nature: Brave
Blurb: Highly Persistent
Moves:
Fell Stinger
Slash
False Swipe
Hyper Beam
Background Info: This boy LOVES to make music, especially with his guitar! He doesn't like having what amounts to KNIVES for hands, despite his guitar-playability. This is useful for making sandwiches, but only hinders handshakes. That huge mustache of his may make him look like a gentleman, but he's SO MUCH MORE than this~!
Nurse Redheart the Audino
Held Item: Audinite
Preferred Category: Cleverness
Nature: Gentle
Blurb: Takes Plenty of Siestas
Moves:
Hidden Power
Heal Pulse
Calm Mind
Entrainment
Background Info: She's the makeup artist for contests, but she also knows how to make everyone physically perfect again! Her trademark nurse hat is actually very important for her charming factor, despite being fit for using Cleverness Category moves (and Heal Pulse)...
Rainie the Castform
Held Item: Blue Scarf
Preferred Category: Beauty
Nature: Lax
Blurb: Mischievous
Moves:
Rain Dance
Hail
Sunny Day
Weather Ball
Background Info: You know she's got a thing for looking her best when you see her~! Well, at least you know how she's feeling according to the weather. When the weather's normal, she's content. When the sun is brighter than normal, she's mad. When it rains, she's tired. When hail or show falls from the sky, she's... Um... Touchy, to say the least.
Elsa the Froslass
Held Item: Yellow Scarf
Preferred Category: Toughness
Nature: Impish
Blurb: Highly Persistent
Moves:
Wake-Up Slap
Torment
Bite
Headbutt
Background Info: She. Means. Business. All the time. She never lets anyone go without some sort of competition, whether it be a fight, a game, or a staring contest. In fact, if she wasn't so big-hearted, she'd break the rules on an almost daily basis! You read that right, she's actually quite nice, despite her Jersey-esque voice and regal name!
