I love Piplup's French, German and Japanese names.

Tiplouf (French)
Plinfa (German)
Pochama (Japanese)

I just so happen to have the English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish versions of Pokemon Diamond.

I am sure there was something strange with the Spanish version, but I do not remember what. HOWEVER…

This is the best ever:

Eelektross's French name: Ohmassacre

Seriously, nothing can beat that.

Aggron (Japanese) → ボスゴドラ, also read as BOSSGODORA. BOSS-GODORA.

Big fan of german (?) for larvesta, which is ignivor. Unless that was a nickname from wonder trade.

Ignivor is indeed Larvesta's german name.

Doublade's Korean name sounds.... awesome.

Ssangeomkil! It's really awesome if you say that name. Especially if you are a native Korean speaker.

EDIT: Any Korean Pokémon name is awesome.

Swoobat = Rhinolove

It doesn't even look like a Rhino!

What were they thinking?

I can answer to this.

Rhino comes form Greek. ρινός (rinós), "nose". Look at its nose. It looks like a heart. Rhinolove. Nose of love.

Understood?

Off the top of my head, Kleinstein (Geodude's German name) never ceases to amuse me. Judokrak (Throh's French name) sounds awesome, too.

I like Pikachu. What? It technically counts as a non-English name given it is the ORIGINAL Japanese name to begin with and one of the few Pokemon never to be known by any other name.
