Simple. You must list one-three things to make pokemon the hardest game in the world.
1) magikarp as the only starter.
2) Can only catch other pokemon after beating the first gym.
3) There are 7 trainers and the champion in the elite four seven.

4. Basic poke balls only - no great balls, ultra balls, or anything else.
5. No healing items, including berries.
6. Pokemon centers cost money per pokemon. Want to heal up a full team? You have to pay up six times.

Make the first gym ghost type and that goes from 'hard' to 'just about impossible'.

10) You're only allowed to challenge the E4 when you've captured and have all 1000 pokemon in your PC. This includes all of the legendary pokemon.
11) You must have a shiny for every gym you come across.
12) Any pokemon that is KO'd is permanently removed from your possession and the species will not appear in the wild for a week.

13) only three pokemon at a time!
14) If you leave a gym, all the trainer's pokemon you defeated are restored. So if you come in the sight of the same trainer, you have to battle him again!
15) no mega evolutions!

16) mega evolutions are allowed, but they decrease stats instead of raising them
17) using any hacking device completely messes the game up immediately
18) the game can only be played on the old nokia phones

19) All of the music is replaced by a never ending loop of I'm Broken by Pantera
20) You can't buy healing items from the pokemart
21) You have to slay every legend for EXP, and you have to do it twice to really defeat them

23) You have to snap pictures of your pets with your system to use in the game as fighting creatures

24) Pokémon refuse to fight any Pokémon of the same species or any of it's evolutions.
25) If your Pokémon is in the same egg group and opposite gender of the opponent, it will refuse to fight.

26.) Inverse Battles permanently on at all times.
