My anxiety is making progress. I'm fighting as hard as I can it's slowly getting easier. It's still hard but I can't give up, even if my body and mind are telling me to give in.

Please keep me in your thoughts.

of course ya big nerd (looks like im gonna hardcore wedgie u but actually goes to ruffle ur hair)

soz to be That Jerk and idk if you have had a Formal Diagnosis of (motions head)......you know......but if you have you might find a book called "Asperger Syndrome and Anxiety" by a guy called Nick Dublin might help a bit even if ur not inclined that way entirely. its basically a little bit "anxiety for nerds" and i guess you can take or leave the majority of stuff from it depending.

strictly speakin its ~~~written for adults~~~~ but ive been finding it ok. its got some neat tips about tryina get ur parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest, as opposed to the fight or flight one which is the sympathetic nervous system, basically you either have one or the other on at once and the book goes on about this) back in charge with breathing exercises etc.

but thats all i know cos im still at the beginning of the book cos i have to read past the chapter where it talks about having meltdowns & it says "having meltdowns is ok, find a space to have them in private, now we will-" and ironically i ragequit the book there cos i have made it my lifes mission to never meltdown ever cos im not That type of autist but yeh im trying again lol

anyway if ur havin trouble finding it let me know

anyway its not easy but from one nervous nerd to another keep fightin the good fight!!!! youll get there and youll find out how actually powerless the anxiety really is when you do

A fanfic I wrote is getting some minor traffic and anyone who actually told me what they thought seemed to like it, asking me to tell them when the next chapter was done, or telling me it made them sad, which, good, that was the point. I'm hoping traffic will pick up once I publish the next chapter, since then it'll probably look better. In incomplete work never looks good, especially when it's totally new.

Fun thing about it: I just happened to publish it on the main character's canonical birthday. Happy birthday, love you, have some sadness in your life, I guess.

Smashed my probationary review. Been fretting over failing the review and losing my job so it's nice to know that I'm good for now.

Finished a fair chunk of my Christmas shopping today and saw some festive-looking houses on the way home. The only downside was that it was (and still is) piddling down and my coat wasn't waterproof.

I've basically been given another coworker's hours at work because he's done a runner and I'm hoping that if I show that I can handle it (which I can) I'll be offered a contract with more hours than I'm currently doing.

Right. All the presents are wrapped and I've got my Santa hat ready for tonight's shift and my hours aren't the worst tonight either.

It's nothing massive but I got my first Victory Royale today on Fortnite in solos!

Kinda kicking myself because I've avoided solos, duos, and squads because they're stressful sweat-fests but then I went and won my second solo game. Like, I could have had an umbrella glider ages ago lol.

Finally pulled the trigger and joined a better gym. I'm guessing there was a New Year's resolution promotion thing going on because I got some goodies when I signed up.

I'm excited to be getting back at it tbh.
