Ladies and gentlemen,
As you will have seen, we have recently launched our latest feature, Cards. As you may have also seen, it rather lacks graphics. So we ask your help! Send us images that look good, and we may use it for that card!
We need the following images
* Something that looks like a proper album front, as well as a general logo
* A header image for each set.
* An image for every card.
There are the following conditions:
* Each image must be in .png format (a hardcoded limitation) and must be approximately 450x450 pixels. Card images must also include a thumbnail of 100x100.
* Set images must include the set's name in a clearly readable way.
* We want original art, drawn by you, that doesn't look bad. Sprite Art is not accepted.
You get the following:
* Proper credit
* A 'Card Artist' Special card
* If the card is not 'Special', a copy of that card, as well as a ten-card booster
* A twenty-card booster for special cards or set images. If a set image, ten of them will always come from the set.
* A 25-card card booster for the other special images.
If we receive multiple images for the same card, and both look good, we will most likely create more cards so we can use all the art. Do not, however, send in art for cards that already have it.
If you're done, mail art to joenoo@gmail.com . Only mail art for cards that do not have art, but that have been created. Include your username and the name you want to be credited with in your mail, since I can't trace it back otherwise! Also leave a message at http://pkmn.net/forums/index.php?topic=60897.0 to let people know what you are working on, to prevent double work.

mmm.. i shall asume the pictures need backgrounds.. what kind of backgrounds?
and should people leave links here or PM you or what?
aaand.. what about colab stuff.. like.. one person made the main image and another people made the background.. or one did lineart and another did colouring.. or stuff like that o.o

The spoiler-space has a lot of room.
Backgrounds are free, what you feel works best.
You can email the images or links to images to me (preferably joenoo@gmail.com , since that has more room), or PM me - PMs are too hard for me to keep track of.
Collaboration can be taken into account with credit, that's no problem.

Oooh, Maybe I'll try. I wish I had a list of cards to choose from, though. I guess I'll have to work with the ones in my album.

For logo's and the like - preferably some combination of/a few images that match the sets and are a bit more than coloured text on a coloured background.

For actual member cards, should they be of the member themself, or an alias..?
Like a Scizor made of crystal, for a completely random example.
And, I'll help out on some of the actual Pokémon images too =] There's one for every Pokémon, right?

For good member cards - probably their alias, although some real elements can be referenced.

So what signifies "bad" art? Are MS Paint drawings acceptable?

Look at the current art. They give a pretty good indication of nice art.

I have also seen an alternative that seems to fit it a bit better by using our cards images. I'm waiting for some more information before I decide.

A couple of people in sleeping bags outside a store so they can be the first to get the cards when it opens the next day x]

Though it may be replaced in the future, my Chatter card was accepted, and I'm estatic! W00t!
Also, my suggested card, Pokemon Live Connection was added! I am so lucky ^__^

Yes, always mail, it's far easier for me to keep track of than having to hunt through several topics, PMs and emails at the same time.

I've made art for Snover but it still needs some tweaking to fit the requirements.

AND Joeno's nowhere near that far into the national dex yet... try Golem and you might be lucky. (76 done =o)

I've made Parasect card art. It's only made on Paint, because I don't have any fancy art software like the GOOD artists on here, but the image is still rather spiffeh if I do say so myself. And anyway the Ask Sentret card was made on Paint so I just hope Joeno likes it.

and you could have a special board for making card images.. so that only the person who made the image and the admins can see it.. which would avoid spoilers o.o

I made a Buizel image before realizing you wanted images for already-made cards. I'll be glad to send it in as soon as a corresponding card is created.

can we make card images and descriptions for ourselves to put on a card. coz for me i thaught like some girl playing cards but with a secret card up her sleeve or something. coz tricks are usualy used in cards and stuff like that.and if yeah can the moderators/admins/things put them in p pkmn.net cards page?

BUT I love Swablu, and so do many others, so why not put it up on DA or summat, hmm?

For a General logo, is it ok if I use Typography for it? With some text? If so then I could whip something up on CS2.

theres a topic in the PKMN.NET forum where people say what they are drawing..
so check that out and then look at which cards don't have images..

i'm takeing a break and drawing some original stuff.. cos i was churning out pokemon like a machiene last week :P

Ok, I get the part where we're supposed to e-mail the card pictures to you so it saves you looking through God knows how many topics like this one and ones like 'Some card pics I drew!'
But, is there some estimate between the time we send them to the time they're looked at/up on the site? So far I'm guessing something around a few days or so.

There's no certain time. I've just had a mess of problems in my personal life as well as lots of coursework that had to be done, so I haven't had the time to look at pictures and right now I'm too exhausted to look at them. I'll get to it when I can actually spare the time.

Do the pictures have to be done in paint? Or can you can pictures that you have drawn yourself and make them meet the requirements?
Also, with the PKMN.NET section of cards, can you do yourself? And does it have to be your original name (in my case, Espeoradar) or your current name?

They do not have to been done in paint, there are several different ways people have been creating art.

It's sure been a long time since I was last here, I've missed a lot once again. Anyway, this sounds interesting and I guess I'll see what I can do. I'll see if I can draw you Typhlosion, that is, if it's okay with you? I'll see if I can draw Joeno too if someone hasn't already and I have spare time.
(To be honest, Final Fantasy XII has pretty much consumed my life.)

Just shrink your picture to be 100x100 pixels =] It's easy, although I guess it can be tricky to get a neat one in Paint. I can do it for you if you like.

Hi guys, I'd love to make some images. What are some Pokemon that have no cards yet? I don't really mind what it is, and I'll have it finished in at most two hours. Can I have a list of unused Pokes, perhaps?

All art submitted up to now should have been looked at. What wasn't uploaded has already been done, didn't arrive here or wasn't worth it.

Was there a list of cards that didn't have art? As it is I'm having a look at the cards I have without art, and having a crack at drawing the ones I can think of something for xD;
