Title: Your least favourite films
Post by: quack98 on July 06, 2013, 15:10
Anyone got any films they hate, whether it be casting, bad plot, or just doesn't fit your taste?

I think my least favourite films are the dark knight trilogy, mainly the last one. First reason is (as you've probably guessed) they didn't include Robin (no, the policeman doesn't count). Second, where did Bane's Venom go? Third, they changed everyones backstory (pretty sure Batman didn't fall in a well, nor was he raised by the league of shadows, which are actually called the league of assassins), and Finally I think it's incredibly overrated, as even omitting these flaws it wasn't a great film.

So, yeah, what's everyone's least favourite film?

Too many to list. I'm just too critical.

Anything by Disney/pixar comes to mind. They're too silly and lack a good plot or strong morals like the Disney films I grew up with.

Twilight - need I say more?

Haha, I've never actually seen those films; I've just assumed they're awful.

Anything that stars barbie, or any toys meant for girls, and twilight because they are so overhyped

Batman Forever/Batman and Robin. The first two movies weren't great, but those two were simply awful. I mean, George Clooney as Batman? Really? Daredevil was pretty terrible too.

Those films were pretty bad, but I can't hate the two Batman ones; they had Dick Grayson in (if played awfully by someone who looked in their mid-30s). Daredevil is just awful, I agree

So true; especially Barbie films (Urgh, my sister used to watch them loads...)

Least favorite as in worst you've ever seen or "you have a list of movies you like, which is the one you liked the least?"

For the former:  I've never seen Twilight so I'm gonna have to settle on The Room or something.  That movie was fierce and quite wrong in too many ways.

For the latter:  I guess Now You See Me is the only movie I can think of as of late.  It's a good movie, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to watch again.  Maybe if it came on TV and I was bored one night.

Red Riding Hood. The 2006 version. With Henry Cavill in it.

As much as I love Henry Cavill, that film was just dire.

Also, ones that star Justin Bieber, One Direction, or any popular boy band or popstar.

The Lord of the Rings saga. I fell asleep trying to watch it in the first twenty minutes. Also did not care for Skyfall. I got to the drinking game bar scene and the scorpion freaked me out so much I had to turn off the movie and I didn't want to see the rest of it. I have a phobia of scorpions.

That's all I can say about that. Entitled to your opinion though so no biggie.

Hmm, I can't really say I have a least favourite film. Though actually, I did watch a french film (Amelie) in school and it was messed up. I hated it xD

The Star Wars series, just really annoys me how everyone finds them amazing and I'm just like why xD Like, the storyline is boring, effects are (inevitably) meh by today's standards and then they're like "yeah but biggest cinematic reveal ever", and anyone who's watched pitch perfect knows that Vader is father in German (although I'm pretty sure it's Dutch? Maybe both)

But tbf I just don't like generic space films, which Star Wars is kinda the poster child of

I KNEW I forgot a film series! I have never liked he Star Wars saga at all even before Episode 1 came out. I like the Ewoks and Chewbacca's looks but that's it. The rest seems kinda stale to me.

wolf of wall street was just bad like even if it didn't take all its comedy from the degradation of women it would still be a terrible film

About half of the movies mentioned in here I at least enjoyed, even if some were for the wrong reasons xD

I'd go for the first Hunger Games film, man that was a waste of a cinema trip. Any of those terrible parody films would be up there too.

Dan in Real Life.

I thought it would be funny.  NOPE.  Family comedy that wasn't even funny.  Could've seen a better movie on my 15th birthday or whatever.

Sucker punch.

Scott Pilgrim.

These are the films that I liked the least that I have ever seen. I couldn't finish either of them. All my friends really liked Scott pilgrim and I just... I didn't like it.

It's Dutch. And I don't think many of the actors in Pitch Perfect were even born in 1977.

Thing with Star Wars is that that yeah the space battles all look very pretty with the lasers and flashing lights but it looks too much like a video game. The originals on the other hand: You know they're models but it still looks real.

Saw a trailer for The Minority Report the other day. Forgot how bad that film was.

Tbh anything with terrible pre-2000 special effects is amazing.

I don't like Bambi, I'm pretty sure Walt Disney was possessed by the devil when he decided to make it.

But perhaps more topically - I've not seen it - we can all comfortably assume that Fifty Shades will be trash. The general concept "let's romanticize abuse" makes me sick really

I used to think Bambi's mom abandoned him and left him to live in another part of the forest as a kid. The worst part is that I always said this and no one corrected me or even told me that abandoning children is wrong.

I don't like the latest Fast and Furious movies. The first three were alright but now they arent even doing racing anymore. FnF was a racing game and the movie has turned into I don't even know what...bank robberies? Hostage rescues? I mean come on....and they are coming out with a Seven soon....

The whole thing is basically the same plot now in each movie except different location.
