It's not nintendo's choice. Some shops decided to sell early and now there are copies out there. It'll be all leaked before release day. It's not GF or Nintendo's choice it's rogue shops.
EDIT: Also copies are sent off to be reviewed so there's a possibility people have got hold of them somehow through that method.
I've been following the instagram guy who has a copy of the game already.
Holy crap, I wanted to avoid spoilers but it's just too compelling. Thankfully no new Pokemon shown just yet, looks like everyone has seen the early-game Pokemon.
I'm kind of sad this is happening though, I really wanted it to be a simultaneous release.
The map looks epic though. Seriously amazing how crazy it looks.

don't be fooled - it's an earlier number. pseudo-legends tend to be much later.
True, but there are different pokedexes for different areas within Kalos, so idk what's going on with numbering.

^Theres 4(?) pokedexes, like mountain; field or whatever, I think.
There's 3 Pokedex - Central, Coastal and Mountain.
Goomy looks awesome, so does Mega Gengar.
Can't say that I'm not sadly saddened by the fact. For the first ever international pokemon release, this kinda makes it suck a bit. Although at the end of the day, these sorts of things are bound to happen and it's not like it's going to affect my enjoyment of the game that much.
It's just occurred to me with all the things being leaked from people who have the game already that no one seems to have released details of gym leaders/Elites/Champion? Or have they and I've just missed it? D: I like the human characters as well as the actual pokemon!

They've been leaked, I'll post some pictures later. It seems like the storyline is pretty interesting and there is an odd mysterious guy who seems to be Odin re-imagined he's apparently the king of an old civilization and sounds like the abyssl ruins thingy.

Had a nosey about and managed to find stuff on YouTube. They all look so cool ;w;
I'm a little annoyed about this but, since I've managed to see just what I'd intended (the new Pokemon and Mega Evolutions only), I'm not too bothered.
69 new Pokemon seems a bit... small, but at least I like quite a lot of them! Shame that the only Fairies I like (new Pokemon wise, I don't know which old Pokemon have been re-typed) are Xerneas and Carbink, the later being one I almost certainly won't use because I've never really been one for pure defense Pokemon.
I'm glad I know about the starters' final evo's - definitely getting Froakie on my first play-through now. It seems that most of my Pokemon are going to be Water (which makes a change) and Dragon (again) Pokemon. Glad there is a Poison/Dragon Pokemon to lash back at these irritating Fairies - and an epic one to boot.
Rumour has it that weather effects have been nerfed this time around. No more eternal rain/sand/sun, it's limited to 5 turns.

This is the best news I've heard for X/Y. I can foresee a few things happening as a result:
-Protect might become a little more common to stall out weather turns
-Tyranitar and Hippowdon on the same team will become more common
-Weather wars will become a more defensive game, where keeping your weathermon sticking around will be more vital to the success of weather teams
The comments in the video said there's some changes to Stealth Rock? I'd be curious as to what those are as well, since Stealth Rock is often considered the most important move in the metagame.

I'm pretty sure stealth rock hasn't changed. I saw some people trying to use the HP bar as a measurement but nobody could get any definitive information. It seems to still be type-effective though.
EDIT: Also, Blizzard, Thunder and Fire Blast have been nerfed down to 110 BP and some of the accuracy values of these moves (and also hydro pump) have been changed too.
Really? Hmm... Hydro Pump taking a nerf is sort of good because it's OP on some Pokemon inside of Rain (SpecsToed springs to mind), but it's sort of a mixed blessing thing, since outside of Rain it loses a bit of utility.
However, there is something I'm really curious about. Ability Capsule reportedly swaps between a Pokemon's abilities, but I wonder if it's between non-DW and DW abilities, or if it's just two of the standard abilities (For example, will Gardevoir only be able to swap between Synchronize and Trace, or will it be able to choose Telepathy as well?). My guess is the former, as it'd make DW pretty much useless, but I'd really prefer to be able to swap Speed Boost onto my Blaziken.
