So we had this kind of topic for B/W, and I really enjoyed seeing how well people did with different team combinations. Post here with the following:
-Battle Style (Super Singles, Super Doubles, Super Triples, Super Rotation, Super Multi)
-Streak Number and if the streak is still going
-Pokemon Team
Current Leaders
Super Singles: 72 Wins (streak ended) - RubyRobin (Greninja, Kanaskhan, Salamence)
Super Doubles:
Super Triples:
Super Rotation:
Super Multi:
Here's what I have been using for Super Singles:
(http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/bw/greninja.png)@ Life Orb
{Protean}
Naive nature (+Speed, -Sp. Defense)
EVs: 252 Speed / 252 Sp. Attack / 6 Attack
Hydro Pump
Grass Knot (usually U-Turn, but not useful in Maison)
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse
This thing usually sweeps all three opposing Pokemon by itself.
(http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/244/a/f/mega_mawile_sprite_by_noscium-d6kgo55.png)@ Mawilite
{Intimidate}
Adamant nature (+Attack, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Attack / 92 Speed
Play Rough
Fire Fang
Sucker Punch
Swords Dance
Usually just smashes through the opposition with Huge Power Play Rough, but SD Sucker Punch is brutal as well. Fire Fang for Steels.
(http://pkmn.net/sprites/blackwhite/front/149.png)@ Weakness Policy
{Multiscale}
Adamant nature (+Attack, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 6 Sp. Defense
Dragon Claw
Roost
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Boost once, hopefully get hit by a super effective attack to activate Weakness Policy, and sweep. Togekiss stops it dead, though. Maybe I should give it another coverage move over Roost.
I haven't actually dabbled too much into this, but my last streak ended to to Dragonite getting Frozen, then Mawile missing with Play Rough. x_x
Anyway, I'd like to see what you guys have done!
Super singles - 39 Wins (ended)
Scolipede @ Leftovers
252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Speed
Adamant | Speed Boost
-> Baton Pass
-> Swords Dance
-> Megahorn
-> Poison Jab
I lead with this guy - use SD first turn and scolipede almost always takes a hit, then either sweep on his own or BP to Mienshao (or even Alakazam if only for the speed boosts)
Mienshao @ Life Orb
Adamant | Regenerator
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
-> Knock Off
-> U-Turn
-> HJK
-> Fake Out
A brilliant way of eliminating threats to scolipede - Fake out breaks sashes and U-Turn in conjunction with life orb is amazing? HJK does massive damage, especially if given boosts from Scolipede
Alakazam @ Alakazite
Timid | Magic Guard
252 SpA / 252 Speed / 4 HP
-> Focus Blast
-> Psyshock
-> Substitute
-> Shadow Ball
For the most part he just cleans up. I had a shiny Alakazam and I wanted to use it xD substitute can be used if you think they're choiced into something crappy, or just OHKO them with the appropriate move. I know MegaZam isn't great, but it was literally just because I had the shiny >_>
Updated! Your team looks nice! One thing though: U-Turn wastes the boosts that Scolipede gave! Wouldn't Rock Slide or Poison Jab or something be of more use? o:
Yeah, but then when the opponent brings in something he can't handle he has problems =/
I'll try it though - U-Turn is a TM so it's easily replaced if I need it back! I've also swapped Alakazam for Aggron on my current team, so I'll see if this gets any further! (I don't know how I'm going to beat the battle chatelaine though - her team looks impossible >_>)
so i heard somewhere that the battle maison teams adjust to your own team over time? e.g if you're going round stomping with a shedninja, the appearence of status effects and weather teams increases. Would changing teams mid streak reset that?
EDIT: I have a record of 34 straight wins on super single it seems
EDIT2: OK so I don't quite remember my team but it was something along the lines of:
Charizard @Charizardite X
Adamant Nature
-Swords Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Flare Blitz
Zoroark@Focus Sash
Sassy Nature (fresh from pokemon village)
-Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse
-Focus Blast
-Flamethrower
Aegislash @Sitrus Berry
Brave Nature
-Iron Head
-Swords Dance
-Shadow Sneak
-King's Shield
Basically, mega-evolve into swords dance if charizard can take a hit, otherwise just go and kill without boosts. Zoroark makes a nice revenge killer and can abuse focus sash to go setup sweeper if the situation calls for it. Aegislash is there because a) he's broken and b) works as an OK-ish disguise for zoroark.
My highest streak so far is 47 on Super Singles :) when you hit 40 you face teams full of legendaries, and from 45 up the teams are even more geared towards countering your teams. I got out stalled by a Ferrothorn - I can usually deal with them if I have all 3 members of my team and if they carry Power Whip instead of Iron Head. :(
Currently running:
Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Modest
Levitate
252HP/56 SpA/220 Spd
Hydro Pump
Volt Switch
Will-o-Wisp
Shadow Ball (filler move)
Scizor @ Choice Band
Adamant
Technician
248HP/252 Atk/8 Spd
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Pursuit
Quick Attack
Drapion @ Life Orb
Jolly
Sniper
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Def
Knock Off
Pursuit
Poison Jab
Earthquake
Between burns and knocked off items, almost anything can be worn down by CB Bullet Punches or U-Turns. Knock Off's buff is incredibly useful. If Drapion doesn't OHKO something with Knock Off, it leaves it being incredibly inadequate in the face of Scizor.
I seem to get A LOT of SubSeed/ProtectSeed Grass types with Big Root so knocking off their Big Root usually saves me. And the frailer Grass types like Roserade go down either way.
Ooh, I'll have to bring a team up and try and get a good streak...I'll find a team to use then. Watch this space...
Just beat 50 battles in a row! Look up the video in your Vs. Recorder here: Z8UW-WWWW-WWW3-NQ8S
My streak is ongoing, but I literally did 50 battles in a row, so I'm going to take a break. Here's my team:
(http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/bw/kangaskhan-mega.png)@ Kangaskhanite
{Scrappy [Parental Bond]}
Adamant nature (+Attack, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Return
Crunch
Sucker Punch
Power-Up Punch
Dear lord is this thing broken. Power-Up Punch is ridiculously good, acting as a Swords Dance with damage AND coverage Kangaskhan needs. After that, Return is really powerful STAB, while Crunch hits Ghosts. Sucker Punch deals with anything that's faster than Kangaskhan. Simple, but wow this is probably the most fun Pokemon to use ever!
(http://pkmn.net/sprites/blackwhite/forms/rotom/479wash.png)@ Leftovers
{Levitate}
Modest nature (+Sp. Attack, -Attack)
EVs: 232 HP / 56 Sp. Attack / 220 Speed
Hydro Pump
Thunderbolt
Volt Switch
Will-o-Wisp
If you read the last 5th gen PotW article, you'd know that this was my favorite Pokemon to use in the metagame, and it's still just as good today. This Pokemon serves multiple purposes: provide the team a special attacker, and KO key physical threats that the other two can't handle (Gliscor, Skarmory, Hippowdon). Hydro Pump is the strongest STAB it has, with Thunderbolt not far behind. Volt Switch can be great to deal damage and escape to another Pokemon. Will-o-Wisp is mostly there because Rotom-W has a really small movepool, but it came in handy once already, so I'm keeping it.
(http://pkmn.net/sprites/blackwhite/front/149.png)@ Weakness Policy
{Multiscale}
Adamant nature (+Attack, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 Sp. Defense
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Steel Wing
One adjustment from the set in the first post - Steel Wing for Fairy types. I was forced out of a Togekiss once and that won't happen again.
Edit: Streak ended to a Hydreigon that flinched Rotom-W, then Will-o-Wisp missed the next turn, then it flinched Dragonite the next turn. -_-
Update: Just broke my old record of 54 with a new record of 64, using the same team. \o/
I'll update this with my streak once it's got higher, but I'm currently using:
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve (I'm getting an ability capsule soon xD)
Timid | 252 Speed 252 SpA 4 HP
-> Sticky Web
-> Bug Buzz
-> Discharge
-> Volt Switch
Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
Mild | 252 SpA 252 Speed 4 Attack
-> Eruption
-> Fire Blast
-> Earthquake
-> Extrasensory
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Bold | 252 HP 252 Def 4 Speed
-> Wish
-> Protect
-> Ice Beam
-> Scald
Eruption is very fun in a SR-less place with sticky web support xD
Edit: Lost on battle 33 to a water absorb Lanturn, of all things...
Just beat singles, my streak will start soon.
Likely to work on sweepers for doubles.
Just reached 65 and still going!
Been using:
Greninja @ Life Orb
Naive | 252 SpA 252 Speed | Protean
U-turn
Extrasensory
Dark Pulse
Ice Beam
Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite
Adamant | 252 Atk 252 Spd | EarlyBird (Parental Bond)
Crunch
Sucker Punch
Return
Power-up Punch
Salamence @ Choice Scarf
Adamant | 252 Atk 252 Spd | Moxie
Outrage
Earthquake
Aqua Tail
Fire Blast
Edit: Lost at 72 =/

Wow, first time I've seen someone else using this build! The only differance is that I'm using Electro Web... think I'll use your Discharge instead.
I've only given the Maison a couple of goes & my record is only 48, but props to all you guys that are 50+ (can't wait to get my gold trainer card).

I was planning to use compound eyes Thunder, but I had unnerve so just went with Discharge and I think I prefer it in the maison, where type resist berries are EVERYWHERE xD
Well, I think you should get a Truant Durant with Entrainment from me. Why? Because of exploits.
