Title: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on February 23, 2014, 21:10
A lot of people I know seem to want to get into competitive battling, and a big obstacle is breeding. For this reason, I've decided I'm going to try a weekly prize draw of competitive pokemon. Basically, put your name down here each week the thing interests you, and then on the sunday I'll pick a name either via RNG or out of a hat (more likely a hood, given I don't have a hat xD). If you win, you can't enter the following week but can after that, to try and make it fair ^^

This weeks will be a Tyranitar, and the winner will have a choice of the following:
-> 31/31/31/31/31/0, Brave, Level 55 w/ EVs in SpA and Attack (Designed for BoltBeam and Edgequake in TR.)

-> 31/31/31/x/31/31, Adamant, Level 55 w/ EVs in Attack and Speed and Dragon Dance as an egg move (Designed for Mega Tyranitar)

They're at level 55 to make them TTar and not Pupitar, by the way xD

I would say good luck to everyone, but that kind of defeats the object of wishing anyone good luck xD

Names for this week:
<no-one because this spot is cursed xD>
SB2K
Chloe_
Spriter
-------

Vaporeon: OpalRhea
Rotom-W: Spriter

Are we allowed to put our name down even if we don't have x or y yet?

As long as you plan to get it at some point, sure, I'll just give you it when you can afford the game ^^

This is starting to get interesting.

Just posting this in case you didnt realise: Just because you enter this week, doesn't mean I'll put you in next week, you need to post here or PM me. Might seem stupid, but its done because I don't want to end up with someone winning whos stopped coming on site, or doesn't like the pokemon for that week, so its easier this way

Haha, that seems to be he case with a lot of people because of how damn hard he is to breed xD I'll put your name on now

I don't even have a rotom I can breed at the moment. Plus this thing would be awesome for doubles.

I suppose it's always handy to have a Vaporeon as a spare, sooooo I guess I'll go for that too :)

Done ^^

btw, if anyone has requests feel free to make them, and as long as they're second-ed I'll try and fit them in
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: Delicious_Scout on March 02, 2014, 12:01
Requests should be made by poll, but... in that case... Mandibuzz would be a rather good choice. If it has to be a sweeper... none, really; perhaps Togekiss... meh.

Anyway, thanks for informing me of its egg move.

If multiple requestz are seconded I'll probably just reed whichevers easiest because I'm lazy like that xD

Anyone else joining?

Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on March 09, 2014, 10:14
The winner of the Vaporeon is OpalRhea ^^

I did notice that was one again though, so I rolled it again to make sure it could and 4 came out, sk the RNGs fine xD

This weeks is up - choice of two Tyranitars, one Mixed Sweeper and one a Mega Dragon Dancer.

Next weeks will likely be Mandibuzz, but I need some time for that one given I don't even have a non-perfect one yet =P

Let me enter for the Mega if it is Jolly and I can be any number other than 1.

Let me enter for the Mega if it is Jolly and I can be any number other than 1.

Its Adamant - natures and stuff are on the first page.

When I worked it out for my own, Jolly had very little benefit (I can't remember whether it outsped +120's or +130's after DD when Adamant, but basically there were like 10 things he didn't outspeed)

Enter me on both. And If I win one, give the other one to someone else. I'm really interested in a non TR special sweeper, since I have no attention span of my own to breed one. xD
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: Wolstenholme on March 09, 2014, 17:08
yes yes. both

If I win a lot of these I can built a competitive army and be cool (but keep going back to all my other pokes obvs.)
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on March 09, 2014, 17:32
I think there's a bit of confusion - there's 1 draw and whoever wins chooses their preference xD Its just because I wanted to offer the mega set but knew some people won't have Tyranitarite so offered the Mixed Sweeper incase that is so.

Regardless, I'll enter you both because you were entering both anyway xD

I have T-tarite. So I could use that one.
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on March 09, 2014, 17:49
Yeah, Mega TTars only usable set seems to be DD, everyhing else is done better by Non-Mega TTar, so anyone with TTarite would probably like that set xD

Seems about right. So far it's just Chloe and I in this week.

Yep, absolutely ^^

Actually, you've just reminded me I need to breed them xD Won't take long =P

Don't forget, remember.

Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on March 23, 2014, 00:15
I totally didn't completely forget about this guys xD

Anyway, to make up the missing week I'll roll this one twice, whoever gets first will get first choice and then the other gets what's left ^^

Okay soooo:
1st - Chloe
2nd - SB2K

Next weeks will be put here once I've slept, because its like midnight and I xant be bothered searching through my boxes for something cool to breed xD
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SirBlaziken on March 23, 2014, 00:19
Well, I can use either one, so it doesn't matter to me. Chloe, no pressure.
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: Wolstenholme on March 23, 2014, 00:28
Dick, can you make an informed decision for me? :-)
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SaRo|Rapidash on March 23, 2014, 00:36
If you have the TTarite, the DD one is probably easiest to fit on a team and goes well with Scolipede, which know you like, because of speed boost baton pass.

But, if you're wanting to make a trick room for whatever reason then the other is better, or if you don't have the TTarite.
Title: Re: Weekly competitive pokemon prize draw
Post by: SirBlaziken on March 23, 2014, 00:39
The other one is for use with an assault vest, right? Because if it is, and she chooses it, it'll be like adding a great WR when I have 3 that are just about as good (basically, not covering a weak point, but making a strong point better).

I apologize for my NFL comparison.

It's only 'cos I don't actually have the mega stone - I traded some stuff to Rich and started over yesterday.
