Yellow because it had better graphics, a talking Pikachu that followed you, TRio, Charizard could learn Fly, you got all three starters, and Koffing wasn't upside down.

All this reasons for me! Isn't Green only a Japanese game? So it's all in Japanese?

The Pokemon designs in Green were based on the designs used in the manga.
