Title: That's a lot of Spinda patterns!
Post by: Petzbreeder on November 09, 2016, 12:30
I worked out today that there are a total of 2'147'483'648 patterns that Spinda can have! You can work it out the same way I did, if you like.

A Pokemon can have any one of 32 IVs in a single stat (from 0 to 31).

Now multiply 32x32x32x32x32x32 since the Pokemon can have any number from 0 to 31 in any of the 6 stats. The result will be 1'073'741'824. If you take the shiny Pokemon into account, since all shiny Spinda can have the exact same patterns, this brings the total number of Spinda patterns to 2'147'483'648 patterns.

How in the world did Game Freak/Nintendo make so many? Asuming they made 1 Spinda pattern per second, it would have taken them literally just over 68 years to make them all! I found that out in Google.

See for yourself, type this into Google. 2147483648 seconds in years.
