Title: Need a good sound editor
Post by: The name master on November 23, 2016, 10:33
I need someone to remove the background sounds from this song (http://vocaroo.com/i/s0gUOPaZlj9d) it doesn't have to be perfect, as long as you can hardly hear most of the sounds.

Things that should be removed:

Voices
Shouting/screaming
lasers

Can't be done, unfortunately.

Yes it can! I've seen videos of music where background sounds have been removed!

Once an audio file has been bounced that's it, you can't split out the original stems. There is no way of removing the background noises from that track without cutting out the bits you want to keep.

You could do a phase inversion thing on it, but that's more likely to get rid of the music being as it's quieter than the rest of it. The music video thing has most likely been the result of taking the original video, muting it and sticking the original music back on top.

Have a look at this (https://youtu.be/TMeoifWl8Cg) apparently, the soundtrack for this film was never realised. So this was done by removing background sounds. There minimal background sounds, but you can still hear them if you listen carefully. So it can be done!

Even if it has crap quality like this (https://youtu.be/q6_1NZJwidM)I don't care!

If the music is already loud enough, like it is in the link it can be done, but the music is too quiet in relation to the sounds, so you just end up with the sounds rather than the music. I've just done it and that's all you get.

Doesn't help that most of the sounds are right down the middle either, if it had more stereo spread it would be a lot easier.

Can you at least remove the voices from this (http://vocaroo.com/i/s0iiRAuOhkTO) so I'm left with the Superman theme?
