That's right, folks. Over at UEPC they're holding a big Wi-Fi Tournament across the whole of Europe! Please note that this is a
European only tournament, so those outside Europe are sadly excluded. Sorry!
Why join this Wi-Fi tournament, you ask? Well, that's because there are actual, you know, prizes! You can win physical copies of Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver! Runners up can also get special event Pokémon (such as those from the Video Game Championships and some rather nice Shiny Pokémon!). You'll have to battle your way through round after round in order to get there though. So you'll need to gather your best Pokémon to survive!
Where do you go to sign up for this tournament? Well, you'll need to go to the UEPC Forums (http://www.uepc.eu/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1076) and sign up for your specific country. There you'll also find the rules for the tournament (or for ease of use, here (http://www.uepc.eu/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=167#SECTION%202.%20REGULATIONS%20%28WI-FI%20BATTLE%29).)
Sign-ups end on
August 8th at 23:59 so get going and get involved! Bring a victory for PKMN.NET!
Hmm....
How do they tell if you're American?
Hax clause? Aw man, there goes my whole strategy P:
Massive tournaments aren't really my thing, so I'll be giving it a miss.
And they just know. They're clever.
Do they tell what version you're using?
Because everyone but us and Canada (Quebec not included) imports games from Europe.
I would assume they should be able to trace the IP addresses and stuff. Something like that.
It's quite clear everyone at UEPC wanted this to be European only - which makes sense considering what UEPC is. I don't appreciate discussing ways of bypassing this.
Well I've entered as Pand3monium. I also put pkmn.net as 'my website' in my profile.
Lets see how far I go :3
Also; for those saying they'd like to enter, despite being American... what if you won? You'd be disqualified and shamed as soon as you ask them to post your game to America.
^I never really wanted to enter, lol. (Not a big WiFi battler.)
If I was and was angry about it, I'd offer free prizes (the pokemon) to anyone who doesn't participate, lol.
I would've entered if I wasn't on holiday. D:
Oh well, I didn't really have any usable Pokemon anyway. D:
Yay for my first opponent being 12 days absent. Default win, maybe? C:
Anyone else here actually enter? Am I really our only representative? D:
UPDATE: Made it to the second round!
We have a member here in the tourney? Please bring us a victory! no pressure at all I would have join but
1) I'm not Europeans
2) I wouldn't want to bypass something set up by a community in a foreign country (I think that is rude and hurts a countries pride for and outsider to win a tournament in their country)
I also have Zy at my side, helping me in this... so you wouldn't have a chance to win anyway :3

That hurt my feelings.... are they really that good?
