On 19th November 2002, we discovered the the American Cartoon Network channel had decided not to show an episode.

It was The Tower of Terror - the episode that sees Ash and friends meet some Ghost Pokémon in a three storey high building and has an adventure there. There isn't really a reason to ban it, you may think.

It was removed because of the title, "Tower of Terror"- it's the classic "nine eleven" syndrome - anything remotely to do with violence/war/towers/aeroplanes. It is very odd because nothing has been said about the Lord of the Rings movie The Two Towers. Personally I think Kids WB should change the title as they did with A Scare in the Air, which was retitled, Spirits in the Skys.

The episode was due to air on the 10th December - it was instead replaced with The Flame Pokémon-athon!. It returns to Haunter versus Kadabra the next day. Beauty and the Beach was also dropped on the 3rd December. Tentacool & Tentacruel was shown instead.
