A few rumours about the DP sequel, which is likely to be revealed in next weeks issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro. UPDATED: 11/05

In the build up to the expected revelation of a sequel game to Diamond and Pearl next week, a few details have apparently been leaked. Remember, these are NOT confirmed.
- The game will be called Pokémon Platinum, featuring Giratina. Typhlosion would like to point out this is the title he predicted months ago.
- The Underground will now be available over Wi-fi.
- There will be a new island containing the DP version of the Battle Frontier.
- There is a new gym leader in Sunyshore Gym.
- Giratina ("Origin"), Regigigas ("Sky" and possibly with the ability Levitate) and Shaymin ("Another" and possibly part Ice type!) all have new forms.
Speculate wildly. And good luck to Man Utd tomorrow. Yeah, like I wasn't going to mention that.

Check out what appears to be a scan of the upcoming CoroCoro page. This scan confirms the name of the Diamond/Pearl sequel will be named Pok�mon Platinum. Note this is still not a 100% confirmation, but we're rapidly approaching the 95% mark!

how will we change the forms of the said pokemon? that's the question....i bet that giratina will just appear and wil be captured later in the game.
you dont. you could have 2 different types of giratina and trade them all on the gt. it'll be brilliant if you're able to go underground via wi-fi but i think that the battle frontier should'nt be in it again coz it got increditly boring. why cant they just do something like beat the elite four like 20 times to unlock a secret island or something like fire red and leaf green. they really need to make these games much longer. id love to be able to go back to hoen,kanto or jotho in pokemon platinum. DOWN WITH BATTLE FRONTIER!!!!!!

To those thinking there are two Giratina's, most likely not, it would probably be like Deoxys, its form changes per game. Otherwise hackers would have already found "Origin Giratina" and the other poke's forms in D/P's source code.
OMG i cannot wait this game would be the best one yet (i always say that when a new pokemon game comes out.) im already guessing the next pokemon seris if its going to have a battle frontier like they did when emerald comes out.

this looks like a great game. it is being shown on pokemon.co.jp now. the pics are alot clearer and it is rumered to come out in september in japan and i think it will be about april time when it is released in america. I live in england so i'll import it. :)
i'm gonna get this game when it comes out. i can't wait for it to be released either.
this game is gonna be awesome. its already confirmed that a couple of the original Battle Frontier facilities are in it. Seeing as its in Sinnoh again theres probably a way to get the Johto starters like the same way in Emerald.
has anyone remembers the shadows of 5 new pokemon ? they all different forms of rotom aprarently it takes over a electric fan, a lawnmower, a washing machine , a toaster, and a refrigerator :D
