Pokémon Black and White have become the fastest selling Pokémon games ever released in the UK!

Confirmation came from the official charts today that the two versions occupy the top two sales spots already, with Pokémon White top of the charts and a staggering 13,000 sales ahead of Black in second place!

In fact, the sales make Pokémon White the 2nd fastest selling Nintendo DS title ever, only behind Professor Layton and Pandora's Box. Combined sales between Black and White are the 3rd biggest Nintendo launch EVER in the UK - only Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii sold more copies in the same time.

So with Pokémania well and truely back in the UK, what can we attribute the sales to? Fantastic gameplay? Icecream Pokémon? Or Simon Cowell sending One Direction to promote them?

I find this image hilarious. They really want to be there, don't they.

Although I'll be honest, I'd certainly flick that guy's switch.
